[Q] [@verygreen]Which recovery boots cm-12-20150111-UNOFFICIAL-hummingbird - Nook HD, HD+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After flashing latest build cm-12-20150111-UNOFFICIAL-hummingbird and gapps for lollipop in latest cwm recovery it shows fix root warning. I checked yes once and no next time. I could not boot nook hd on both try. It displays nook logo and cyanoboot universal bootloader and screen goes blank and after some time restarts and causes boot loop. What shall I do?? I performed clean installation by wiping every thing format system/data/cache/dalvik cache everything.
Here is pic showing some info when I flashed cm12 0111build.

Same for me. I've tried a thousand things a thousand ways. Same results, every time. Driving me absolutely insane.

Ya, kinda frustating.

Yes, of course. Both of us are facing same problem. Some guys are using TWRP in ovation. I wish there was TWRP recovery compatible for cm12 for hummingbird as well.
Sooner or later TWRP is going to be released for hummingbird. For now lets be patience and wait. I hope @Hashcode and @verygreen are working on it.

Just curious: (Showing 2 COMS) Odin3 Glitch?

So about three days ago I decided to root and put a custom ROM on my phone. Followed the MobileTechVideos and realized something odd happened.
Why did it show 2 different COMS? Shouldn't there have been one?
My build is 1010 and it was the VERY first time I rooted and put a custom ROM on.
Here we are three days later with NO problems.
Plan on putting a different ROM tomorrow and wasn't sure if I should worry about this or if it was just a glitch.

So nothing to worry about, huh?
I'm about to try a new ROM so I'll update once finished.
Well I didn't flash when this occurred, I don't recall if just restarting odin cleared it up or if I had to restart windows.
Yeah, I remember it just not going away. Either way it did recognize it and worked itself out. Maybe a bug or just because I have build 1010?
I can't get into download mode via three button... Check out my other topic, please!!!

Trouble flashing anything!

Hi all!
Got this p970, it was running 2.3.4, rooted it using framaroot. (Woot woot). Installed rom manager and successfully flashed recovery through the app.
I've tried twice now to flash different versions of CM (10 and 7.2, stable versions) with no luck. Get an error very quickly in recovery, forcing reboot. I don't have a screen cap of the exact error wording (which I realize would be helpful) but I seem to recall "prop" showing up a couple times.
Was there any step I missed that is causing this? Any help would be killer, I wanna ditch this iPhone and get back on a droid!

This means that your phone isn't a p970.

Hi, i cant see the screenshot... I will try to guess whats happening.
Do you mean that you tried to do a factory reset from the settings menu?
If so, and you have twrp, it wont work. You have to do it through twrp

I dont have TWRP, I use default bootloader, wanna change but cost is high,,.,
You can use Verizon software upgrade tool on your PC and reinstall the stock software. There will be an option to erase all data.

I think I've wrecked my work phone

Hi all. Great forum btw. I've spent days browsing the material, yet, I've still messed up my device.
I attempted to root the S10, unlocking the bootloader etc, however, I messed up the patched image part and ended up in a boot loop. The mistake I then made when in the download area was locking the bootloader again. I know, I'm an idiot.
Despite flashing the phone with stock firmware using Odin, when the phone boots up it says it's can't apply a Managed Service because the phone has, or did have, a custom OS on it.
I've tried all sorts via ADB, Odin etc, but I'm stuck. The worst part of it is that it's a work phone, and I'm not sure how I'm going to explain myself to the IT department if I can't fix this myself - eek!
Help! Any help is really appreciated. Below are a few pics of the areas I can get to, plus the messages I get when I try and boot the phone normally.
Thanks for reading this.
(I can get to these areas fine, but despite factory resets and trying all the other options, I can't progress)

You don't have to disable force-encryption if you are heading to a custom ROM, unless the developer has built the ROM that way.
I never used the encryption patch except for once, which I actually didn't had to.
