Hello everyone !
I'm searching for a way to :
- Move the navigation bar to the left . Actually I'm using my Android device in landscape mode but the navigation bar cannot be moved ...
And eventually :
- Adding some shortcuts to control media (play / pause, etc.)
- Adding shortcuts to open app.
But the most important for me is the first one.
I don't know if there is a module that can do this ?

FYI it's available on some custom roms like Dirty Unicorns, CM (since CM 11.0 M4)...
Search for "XPeria/AOSP Navbar Buttons" in the repository.

Hello,
I've tried this one and was able to modify the nav bar but I wasn't able to move it .
Related
Content:
18 notification toggles from lidroid
Shutdown menu with navigation bar switch on/off
Transparent navigation bar
Transparent statusbar
Transparent lockscreen (with landscape layout)
Installation:
Deodexed rom is needed.
Make ROM backup first.
Install from recovery.
Bugs:
Switching nav.bar quickly on/off, returns your wallpaper to the default one. Live wallpaper is not affected.
Don´t switch navigation bar, when you are in camera. Camera cannot handle starting of .SystemUI service. (if you are in camera without buttons, go to album first and switch the nav. bar back there)
Expanded statusbar ends above the navigation bar, even if it´s switched off.
PhotoEditor buttons under nav. bar.
Don´t know...
Instructions:
Shutdown menu with notification toggle is invoked by pressing hw power button and tapping shutdown
To allow navigation bar to switch, you must allow superuser access
Notification toggles have settings in your app drawer named SystemUI settings (all buttons can be turned off)
When the nav. bar is annoying somewhere, switch it off.
Wipe lockscreen data in app settings.
For enabling Home rotation, add "home.land.on=true" in your build.prop

Info:
- android.policy - removed statusbar and navigation bar surface layer, changed all calls for restricted window size for unrestricted, changed boolean for landscape lockscreen
- services - same duplicate shared user id 1000 for SystemUI
- Home - landscape property (telling it that accessory is connected), bigger wallpaper dimensions, a little faster scrolling speed
- SemcAlbum - only made fully transparent overscroll glow png
- SystemUI - power widget, transparent background for nav. bar and statusbar, changed pixel format for nav. bar, changed flags a little, nav. bar switch property
- TaskSwitcher - layout changed, to be above the nav. bar
- Lockscreen - removed wallpaper service, added transparency and landscape layout, some more touches
- Busybox and navbar.sh for switching nav. bar on/off

Is your rom deodexed?
Good one. No it isn't. Maybe I'll do that some other time. For now god luck with your mod
And I'm not sure but don't mods like this belong in themes and apps section?

Well, actually it's not app, it's not theme, and I developed the mod (even if it's dirty). So I think it belongs here.
Hello very good job man
Great MOD
It is possible to made the same MOD with:
1 focus press for enabling
2 focus press for disabling
I don't try already your MOD... but I think if I long press in standby mode for fast capture it will disable the nav bar, right???
Thanks again
Edit: can you share an other link, because it temporarily disable
Of course, the count of presses could be reduced, but it's not a good idea. Still the main idea is well running phone without unwanted actions.
I'll wait until tomorrow and if the link won't be back online, I will reupload.
Edit: Link is back online.

Well done peetr
But How can this be done on the v, it doesn't have a focus key :banghead:
It can be done with proximity sensor, but I am not sure about impact on battery in this case. I will try to test it.
Doesnt seem to be working on hackits rom...
Camera running in the background?

Well, try to look in /dev/.keycheck file, if any content is in there, after pressing focus button. If not, there is probably something important missing in the rom.
Maybe init.d is not supported.
I suppose, you flashed this mod in recovery.
You can try to run the script in terminal and watch for some error - "/system/bin/mksh /system/bin/navbar.sh"

Re: [MOD] Navigation bar toggle on/off with focus key
If it's still useful? Ok.
But probably not this weekend.
Still working on notification toggles.
It seems there's a nonav fix that can be installed via CWM somewhere, but I wasn't able t locate the file.
Edit: Right then, never mind.
It's settings => hybrid properties => swipe right => interface => set bav. bar to 0%.

Yeah, but if ur in tablet mode, you cant change the nav bar size
I developed an app that can do this in stock rom and I just added Paranoid Android support. Would be nice if someone could try it and confirm that it works or report bugs: GMD Hide Soft Keys.
Benefits for PA:
1) you can turn on Notification with switch control to hide/show navigation bar from anywhere.
2) Quick NavBar can be displayed with swipe from bottom (similar way to Pie)
3) Quick NavBar has button to toggle Extended Mode (full screen).
More features coming :fingers-crossed:.

There is no navigation bar in the tablet mode, those are just the navigation keys in the Tablet mode on the common status cum navigation bar, the tablet mode makes your phone into a tablet and as tablets don't have a capacitive back key like the phone, tablet interfaces will have those keys and you can't get them away unless there is some MOD for it which you can search in themes and apps forum.
Hİ!:good:
Application is best for my business GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys PRO
This application allows to hide navigation bar and auto show/hide it with simple swipe from bottom. It hides only navigation bar (soft keys) in Phone UI and does not hide notification bar.
Supported devices: all Nexus devices and Xperia Z. It may work on other devices too, but its not tested.
Unique features:
- Hide just navigation bar and keep notifications bar.
- Show Quick NavBar and click soft button with one simple swipe.
- Spoof Soft Keys - make Android think you still have soft keys and display Menu button in applications actions bar.
- Theme Quick NavBar - use any custom image for buttons.
- Adjust trigger size and position.
- Integrate with Gesture Control or Tasker using Shortcuts.
- Stock firmwares, CyanogenMod, Pac Rom and Paranoid Android supported.
- No modifications and no reboot required.
PRO features:
- Change trigger color and/or transparency.
- Disable trigger (and Quick NavBar) if you use other alternative.
Pro version is available on internet But I can not share link ,I'm new to the xda

Can you add an option to keep the navigation bar enabled on desktop and application drawer. I mean only the apps go for this semi immersive mode keeping the desktop and drawer with the navigation bar. Because apps would look awesome in this semi immersive mode which is not so much important on desktop and drawer, especially with kitkat, which has transparent navigation bar. Thanks

Hi, I have a Galaxy S4 with a Google Edition ROM and I'm missing the brightness slider and the toggles on the status bar I used to have on the TW...that's the only thing I miss actually, and one I really want to have, so...is there a module that enables those features? I tried Gravity Box but I only managed to control brightness directly on the status bar (I'd prefer an actual visual slider) and to bring the toggles on the screen by clicking on the top right corner of the status bar (quicksetting)... I would like to have the toggles directly on the drop down status bar...are there more options I couldn't find? Are there other modules that enable these features?
I'm looking for something like this: http://i.imgur.com/5g9Ft1W.jpg
Thank you in advance!

I believe that's called QuickSettings in GravityBox
Im not sure about the brightness slider because I haven't used that since 4.0.4, but I'm pretty sure you can add those in GB from under the Notification settings next to quick settings
Ok, thank you...I managed to bring the quicksetting in foreground when there are no active notifications with an option...it's better this way but I would just like a part of the screen with toggles that can coexist with the notifications...about the slider, can't find anything in notification settings...

If you don't mind messing with ADB, there are a few apps on play store.
Granular Immersive Mode - Apps on Google Play
Immersive mode the way you like it. For the apps you want it.
play.google.com
System UI tuner I think is better. He was in the LG V30 forums and is highly respected.
I like my 3 button navbar but like to hide it in certain apps. Haven't gotten around to it yet.
