Hello there, am I ****ed? Here's what happened today:
>Rooted LG revolution froze and crashed with a black screen, even after rebooting with taking the battery out.
>I'll just hard reset my phone.. nbd
>Hard reset phone
>Realized that it's still rooted, ****yea.jpg
>Go on an app deleting frenzy, accidentally deleted an app (sms.apk maybe?)
>Tried to press home and it doesn't work so I restart my phone and it boots normally until I unlock it. (The network bar is still visible but I can't access the home screen)
>Panic, then find this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337386 and complete every step but the phone doesn't show up on LGNPST. (I can't access the connectivity options, but it's usb debugged since the sd card and system folders show up on autorun)
What can I do? Is my phone salvageable? Or will I have to go to Verizon to fix my mess?
Thanks in advance!
If running Windows 7 try disabling UAC then re install the .dll file during the LGNPST setup.
I tried win 7 for a few days and couldn't get it to work. But my XP laptop worked fine. Try XP especially if win 7 is 64 bit.
--My REVO is Broken, tweaked, SC'd, and TB'd. Just awesome!
should be fairly simple
do u have cwm? and a back up? then load the system from a good backup, or load one... if no cwm then maybe the stock recovery will do it?
keep me informed and ill do what i can and search the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1564941
As a last resort you can allways pull the battery, then put it back in, then with the phone still off press power and down and hold untill you get option to factory reset, hit power for yes then reflash the .Tot you want and start over rooting.

UAC has nothing to do with any issues.. type in start menu > search > type in "cmd" or "regedit" and right click and choose "run as administrator" then shouldn't have any issues registering the .dll
Hello guys!
I just came on this awesome forum and I would like to stay active here
So, I got my Kindle Fire HD 7'' recently and yesterday I tried to root it but I failed ( some problems that said : Permission denied ) and I left it there. Today, I turned it on and the status bar and the sidebar with home etc has been disappeared. I tried a lot of things , but with no success. I have installed file manager but I can't find something that could be useful to restore my Kindle. I just want to get on the menu "Device" and press the button that format in factory settings my Kindle. Can someon help me, please?
If you're using gmail, turn off notifications. They interfere.

Ok i would suggest buying a fastboot cable (factory cable) you can find one on amazon for like 3$ but first lets see if we can get that thing rooted maybe it will bring it back to where you need it. Follow these directions exactly and should get it rooted.
First things first lets get your sdk and drivers setup correctly.
1. Download the sdk package from here http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html#download
2. Open the file you downloaded and take the sdk folder and the sdk manager file and copy it to you hard drive. C:/sdk** C Being the hard drive letter. Sdk being a new folder you created. Put files in sdk folder
3. Now you need to open up sdk manager and go to tools menu and select manager addon sites. Now select user defined sites tab and select new and enter this site. http://kindle-sdk.s3.amazonaws.com/addon.xml and click ok.
4. You need to click the following boxes to install the packages you need. TOOLS, ANDROID 4.0.3 (api 15), and EXTRAS. Then click install packages to install them.
5. Now you need to install JDK from here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7-downloads-1880260.html
6. Now you need to install your basic java from here http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
7. Now you need to install kindle fire hd adb drivers from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1890413
8. Now shut down your kindle and connect your kindle to your pc and let it boot all the way and unlock the lock screen.
9. Now you need to run this tool https://dl.dropbox.com/u/54456659/Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18.5.1.zip
And select option 1 and on your kindle when the screen pops up asking to restore go ahead and tap on restore.
10. When your kindle restarts the lock screen should turn black and look funny ( if this does not happen then run the tool again untill it does) Now unlock the lock screen.
11. Now you need to run this tool https://dl.dropbox.com/u/54456659/Qmenu-v2.5.zip and select option 1
When it says press enter to proceed make sure you wait till it fully boots and you unlock the lock screen before continuing to next step. Once all steps are completed you should have root.
Open superuser to activate it and enjoy.

So, okay, I installed all the things and I am going on the step to open the RunMe.bat and then I choose the option 1. Then, it scans to get my Kindle, but can't find it. Now, the thing is that I can't know if the Kindle has opened the ADB as I can't go in the Sytem etc.
I attached a picture of my Kindle ( to understand which things have been disappeared )

Ok my next question is have you called amazon? They have an excellent return policy. Just tell them this happened after their update and play stupid about root or anything of that sort and you should have a brand new one in a few days. Or your gonna have to get a fastboot cable.

Can you help me with restoring my Kindle? C'mon! There will be a way to restore it from File Manager!
Without root or knowing if adb is enabled. There's not much i can do for you. The only other thing you can try is unplug your kindle ,reset your pc, wait till it boots, then plug kindle into pc this will power on your kindle. Then go into device manager and under kindle when you open that branch it should say android composite adb interface. If not you can try to update drive and choose the option that lets you choose what driver to install. Then search in program files/amazon and install drivers from there. But without knowing if this kindle has adb enabled its kinda hard to help you. But if these do install and it does shows up as android composite adb interface. Then try the rooting process again steps 9 - 11. If you cannot get steps 9 - 11 to work your only other choice is to get a fastboot cable ( factory cable ) and use the kindle restore tool from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951254KFHD System.img Restore Tool and follow downgrade to 7.2.1 section.

Hello everyone,
Some Italian guys asked me for this guide because they did not find anything complete and detailed. Thanks to the XDA members' publications I could put together the pieces and write it down. I apologize for my English but I'm not very good, especially for technical terms. I hope I can help someone.
BACK TO ANDROID WEAR 1.5 FROM 2.0(COMPLETE GUIDE)
1. Download the software ADB installer 1.4.3 from this link compatible with Windows 10: http://uploadboy.com/tsp1bpbe9gtj/1082/zip
From here you can download an older version 1.3 for Windows 7: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
2. Open the .exe file already downloaded with administrator privileges and follow the installation procedure to install the drivers
3. Download the three image files of the build "M1D65H" (boot, recovery, system) that you find here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch-r/development/fastboot-zip-factory-images-t3405311
4. Insert the files into the folder that created the ADB Installer that is normally the path "c:\adb"
5. Download tool "WinDroid Toolkit" from here (some antivirus swapping it for threat and eliminating it, in this case turn it off momentarily) :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=17244
6. Start with administrator privileges "WinDroid Toolkit"
7. Follow the instructions for installing the drivers required by the tool and select the model of the clock
8. Activate developer options on the clock: (Settings> System) by clicking "build number" repeatedly until unlocking the menu that will be among the main options
9. In the developer options menu, activate the "debug ADB"
10. Turn off the clock
11. With the clock off, hold down the physical key and in the meantime repeatedly tap your finger on the screen from minute 55 to 25 until the watch has entered the mode fastboot
12. Connect the clock to PC usb port via cable and charging base
13. Now "WinDroid Tool" should recognize the clock and below you will see that the "Offline" script becomes "Fatboot"
14. Click on "Unlock Bootloader" and proceed by accepting the various message from the tool
15. A confirmation message appears on the clock display, click on the right arrow and then on the central button to continue
Now the bootloader of the clock is unlocked and we can continue to install the three previously downloaded files. Close "Windroid Tool"
16. In the "adb" folder at the "c:\adb" path, click on a drop-down menu at any point in the chain and right-click and shift at the same time. Click on "Open command window here"
17. In the newly opened window, give the following commands one at a time and wait for each one to complete the operation:
1) fastboot -w
2) fastboot flash boot M1D65H_boot.img
3) fastboot flash recovery M1D65H_recovery.img
4) fastboot flash system M1D65H_system.img
Finally, to restart the clock, use the following command:
5) fastboot reboot
N.B. Before pairing the watch on the cellphone again remove the link, inside the Android wear app, clock and uninstall and reinstall the app.
Finished!
ELIMINATE THE PERSISTENT UPDATE NOTIFICATION
1. Download the .zip file containing the custom recovery and root to this address:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/qllnc7...+R+Utility.zip
2. Unzip the .zip file and insert the "twrp-3.0.0-0-lenok+squashfs.img" file into the "c:\adb" folder
3. In the Clock Developer Options menu, activate the "Debug ADB" (to enable them to follow the procedure above)
4. Connect the clock to the pc via the cable and charging base
5. Open "WinDroid Tool", go to the "Commands" tab and click on "push file". Select the file "SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031.zip", wait for the procedure to complete and disconnect the clock from the PC.
6. Turn off the clock
7. With the clock off, hold down the physical key and in the meantime crawl your finger repeatedly on the screen from minute 55 to minute 25 until the clock has entered fastboot mode
8. Connect the clock to the pc
9. In the "adb" folder at the "c: \ adb" path, click on a drop-down menu at any point in the chain and right-click and shift at the same time. Click on "Open command window here"
10. In the window just open, give the following command and wait for the completion:
-) fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.0-0-lenok+squashfs.img
11. From the clock using the arrows and the confirmation button down to start the "recovery mode"
12. Accept the warning message and after selecting the language click on "install" and select, with the touchscreen, the .zip file "SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031.zip", wait for the procedure to complete.
13. Restart the system and wait for the clock to turn on.
14. In the previously opened command window, give the following commands one at a time and wait for them to complete and complete:
1) adb shell
2) su
3) pm disable com.google.android.gms/.update.SystemUpdateService
4) pm disable com.google.android.gsf/.update.SystemUpdateService
Finished!
Many thanks riccardo423
I have managed to rollback my lg g watch r to android wear 1.5 AND suppress those pesky update notifications using your guide. I noticed your mediafire link to the custom recovery file is broken. There is an alternative download at http://www.mediafire.com/file/qllnc77jtdqxtdl/Lg+Watch+R+Utility.zip (posted by Dettofatto in a previous xda thread) which also contains the two additional required files.

Hello, thanks for inserting a working link. I've modified the text of the guide by entering your link. I'm glad to have helped you.

BTW: Thank you for the complete guide, step by step, i was able to go back to 1.5 and disable the persistent notification thank you very much!
Hi, thank you for inserting the working link. I'm glad to have helped you. Riccardo423
After downgrade from 2.0 to 1.5, I don't received Facebook messenger notifications on watch. Other notifications work fine (Gmail, sms etc). Anyone know what's going on?

The app wear permissions are unlocked for notifications?
Android wear app reinstalled twice. Even made watch factory reset. On Phone in settings/apps, Android Wear app have permissions for everything possible
Thanks for this Riccardo ( or grazie, from a fellow italian )!
Can't believe I managed to do the entire procedure without making a mess of it, lol. Everything appears to be working again, I'm so happy! Really hated AW 2.0. Hope the notification does not come back, I'll keep an eye out for it in the coming days.
hello, can anyone answer me why these commands dont work

and why superSu crashes on watch
Thank you Riccardo423 for great manual, it works great for my watch. No AW2 anymore!

Yes, it's the last AW1.5 version. However, perhaps it was due to something I didn't made correctly during the downgrade but this M1D65H version had not a good battery performance on my watch (battery was drained in less than 40 hours).
It's why I have used the M1D64Y version which is perfect in terme of battery performance (>48 hours) and applications responsiveness.

Nothing specific, just installed the basic factory image + root . I have installed about 16 apps (including Watchmaker with a quite "sophisticated" watchface, wear messenger, WearMail, Wear Battery stats, Feel the Wear, Runtastic, ...) but mainly I have deactivated Google Fit which is a true battery killer app on both the Smartwatch and the Smartphone!.
mediafire link is dead (twrp) - please, reupload it!
Thanks so much for this, it worked perfectly! So great to have my watch back!

- use TWRP recovery for make a full backup of my device "in case of" (UNDONE)

EDIT : Downgrade succesful with other firmware (47.1.A.8.49_CE1 ) proposed by @j4nn
Continuing the process.
Hello all :8) I'm still trying to save Drm keys of the XZ1c .. i got a windows 7 working, all drivers and flashing drivers installed... Adb commands responding . I try to downgrade to get the renotools working and save the DRM keys
- Debug mode and OEM unlock allowed on the phone with the ultimate .228 firmware.
But Newsflasher 20 stop installing the 47.1.A.2324_CE1 firmware (from the link in the @j4nn 's detailed instructions in the thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...devonly-exploits-temp-root-to-backup-t3795510 )
- I've put the newsflasher app and tools in the root dir of the Firmware as said in the newsflasher instructions.
- I've unzipped the" partition.zip" , getting a "partition" folder in the same dir
Then start newsflasher (after installing Gordon Gate flashing drivers) with phone on "flash" mode (green light after volume down button + usb cable plug
Skipping all optional options as i read in the "newsflasher thread". i copy the log down there/
Ii can' succeed to flash the firmware ... With luck, the phone continue booting on .228 firmware after this...
-OTHER ASPECT then the @j4nn thread says i should remove the "persist" files from folder to keep attestation keys
But i don't have exactly that file in the firmware folder, but a persist X-FLASH-ALL-C93B.sin file . does it mean i should let it in the folder, or is this an equivalent ?
Thanks for your help and sorry for being such a noob at every step
I put the newsflasher log down here

But i don't have exactly that file in the firmware folder, but a persist X-FLASH-ALL-C93B.sin file . does it mean i should let it in the folder, or is this an equivalent ?
....
I put the newsflasher log down here

If you're using newflasher, then you need to remove the persist.sin file, as you don't have one, along with the above underlined, I'm guessing you've downloaded XZ1 FW and not XZ1C, as I've never seen LUN0_ whenever I've flashed FW.
After saving DRm, unlock bootloader, restore TA partition, I have two problems :
- Battery charge indicator says 20 % , even if I fully charged the battery...
- Battery health test says I have to change battery ( beforee downgrading it said good state)
And I have two unprovsioned keys , but the Android key that says "provisioned" ( screenshot1 ) ,
the three keys l provisioned before bootloader unlock and drm restore ( screenshot 2) .
now i'll try to fix this. thanx for all the support i got or any hint.

No, hide bootloader kernels are for stock, Lineage has it's own kernel.

For the battery issue it's look like it happend this night, I let it charge after downgrade successful, and this morning, it was with camera on , black screen cause lens on a table, and battery indicator to 20 % ... hope the lineage flash will make it better.
Cheers and thanks again and again SxUsr !! now let's move to the TWRP / LOS struggle
Battery problem fixed by several reboots . fine !
Succeed to install LINEAGE 17 !! Wonderful OS ... 3 days of hard learning to manage it Would like to say big big thanks to @SXUsr for his help @j4nn @modpunk for their precious release and detailed instructions , !! Glad to join this community ... now I can stop spamming this pro forum with my beginnings. Bye (until next question, maybe
This is exactly what I want to do, too. However I am more keen on Lineage 16 which should be more stable than 17. What do you think?
I would like to have a fully functional secondary phone without google services.
And bu the way why do I need to backup the DRM keys if I heard that with Android 9 or above the camera still works on custom roms? Sorry if it is not true, I not always visit the forums.

I am rocking Lineage OS 17.1 and it is quite stable, but 16 still had up to date security patches so it's really up to your preference in Android flavors. Although I believe GPS is better in 16.
About the DRM, that is correct. It is not needed for Lineage OS as it is fixed by the ROM. It is just in case you ever want to switch back to the stock rom and want a working camera. The process is not hard and only takes a couple minutes.
I personally followed the PDF guide in this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78255334&postcount=382
It had screenshots and all the steps written down so it's quite easy to follow.
Hope this helps!

While LOS 17 has come a far way and is quite stable, I still prefer LOS 16, which seems to perform better for me. I also prefer Pie over Android 10.
Hi there,
I just save my cactus from a “Vibrate massager”.
If you got the same problem, this maybe help you.
First,download three tools;
1.MTK-Bypass
2.SP-Flash-Tool
3.MiFlash Professional Edition(Black logo, need install)(If you got a yellow logo edition and not need install, don't use it. It's public edition.)
My internet environment doesn't allow me to access a lot of websites(.etc Google,Youtube,Facebook,Twitter...),so try to google/bing it and download it.
If you got all needed tools, charge your “Vibrate massager”,and...
Here we go!
1.plug your cactus to pc.
2.open Miflash Professional.
3.select SP flash.
4.click "Options".
5.Go to "general".
6.Make sure all three options is "false" now.
7.select appropriate files for DA and scatter BUT WITHOUT "AUTH".
8.hold Volume+ and power, until your computer make response for it.
9.<--DO THIS IN 5 SECONDS-->
(1)Open MTK-bypass IMMEDITELY.
(2)Select MT6765(even cactus is 6762,but select 6765 anyway) IMMEDITELY.
(3)Click Bypass IMMEDITELY.
<--YOU CAN TAKE A BREATH NOW.-->
10.When bypass is complete, back to SP-Flash, and then click flash.
11.Wait patiently.
12.It should boot up now.
P.S. Your bookloader is back to lock. You need to unlock it again.

By the way, you can open MTK-Bypass and press bypass button earlier and it will wait for COM usb port.
When you entered the usb port mode it will pypass it immeditely and you can flash it.
I forgot to write it when I post this thread
Possible reasons to cause this problem:
1. Flashed wrong recovery.
2. Flashed wrong boot/kernel.
3. Wipe logo partition.
