Dual-Booting - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for a way to dual boot, on the nexus 6. I've done some searching and it doesn't seem like any current ways are supported for this device. If anyone has any info that would be great.

Multirom is not available yet

Do we have an eta? Does anyone know? I'm running resurrection Rom and I love it, but I would like the ability to also update my prl on the go. I go in and out of service area a lot and updating the prl is a nice reset on my radio.

Got working 3G on google edition

Okay guys . After a day of messing around with this Google Edition I finally got fully working data . I was wondering if anyone could tell me the direction to get the roaming indicator off . I'm up loading it to dropbox right not and its taking forever . So if you have suggestions for a different file sharing please let me know.
Did you port this from Verizon's port or the International?
I booted up the Verizon port and have working LTE right out of the gate. Good job on messing around with it. I just wish we had the 4.3 version... Beggars can't be choosers though.

I've got a test build I'm about to try based on the VZW version. The VZW version author cut this test build at my request. I'll let you know once I get it installed.

I guess we'll know later
I would love to use the Google version if everything checked out ok. I am not one to tinker with it. But the idea of no bloatware has me almost there... So if anyone figures out how to get it work with no issues that would be great. Where I live we only get 3g so anything above that wont matter to me. Good work btw to you guys who figure this stuff out. Many Thanks :good:

I downloaded an app called "Lte on off" on that app I change the preferred network mode to Cdma/lte auto prl. If at firat it doesn't work try switching it to another and then back to that. It takes a minuter to kick in. I also had mobile data disabled while I did it and then enabled it, don't know if that made a difference.

[Q] KitKat Update ATT phone but Straight Talk Service

Will the update still be pushed to my device..will be getting it this friday. thanks
You should... Just make sure your apns are correct.
I went through the whole process of testing the 4.4 leak, downgrading to 4.2 using rsdlite and then got the official ota for 4.4 immediately on first boot. All on straight talk. Everything went perfect =).

Sorry it took so long to respond. I do get good lte speeds with straight talk. I'm near Eugene, Oregon and the highest I've gotten was about 3 megabytes/sec. I don't recall the exact speed as I did it early on and only did once because it ate up so much data. I'll try again later tonight and give you an update.
As for the apn, I use the ones listed on their website. Before lte sims were available, there were a few alternatives for apn settings. However, since the lte SIM card change, I can only find the ones listed on the website.

Port lollipop to 910t

Hello so it looks like germany is recieving lollipop to the 910f can any dev please try to port it over to our device?.
Why? If snapdragon version receives update in Germany, US version shouldn't be far away. Let developer use their resources for something else.

Coming from a Nexus 5 I am not all that excited about 5.0.
In my opinion you lose more than you gain. Google took a step back with lollipop.

Uh, yeah, I know that. Just stating many people say the stock lollipop is buggy, I had no issues. I'm certain Samsung will screw it up.

New 5.1.1 ota and Verizon users

We can just flash the new ota zip right ? We don't need to flash the T-Mobile radio too? Will this be the same ota we get in like six months cuz Verizon sucks ???

you can flash, but more providers will get otas within the next week or two, not months.
But will there be a difference from most of them ?. It'll all be 5.1.1

I'm on the new LYZ28E build and am on Verizon but I will certainly be changing over to the build released for Verizon phones in the coming weeks whenever it comes out.
Do you use vvm on the T-Mobile ota ???
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
Just my observation don't use the new radio firmware from this ota if you're on Verizon. Couldn't get a signal for over 5 min literally under a Verizon tower. Went back to the .98(or whatever the stock radio is for a vzw branded Nexus 6).
Anyone on Verizon that's using new T-Mobile ota please let me know if you use stock vzw vvm. And if it works.

I'm on Verizon and flashed new tmo radio and my signal is better..but didn't flash bootloader

Everything works fine on this new T-Mobile ROM for verizon users. All apps including vvm FYI. So when Verizon makes the new 5.1.1 ota idk what will be the benefit or reflashing to that.

Incoming calls not coming through

For some reason I'm not receiving calls. If I reboot my phone it'll work fine, but I don't know for how long unless someone leaves a vm. I have no idea what's causing it, nothing has really changed but I also don't know how long I've been having the problem. I'm running pure nexus rom and Franco kernel if it makes any difference. Any ideas?

Are you talking about Settings > Wireless & Networks > More > Cellular Networks > Preferred Network Type? That's already set to LTE.

What carrier and is this while you're on WiFi?
AT&T and I'm not sure.. I know that it's happened when I've been on wifi, however I can't say it's always the case since I don't necessarily know I missed a call.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
On Verizon I only saw this on the 5.0-5.1 builds using VOLTE. Turned off VOLTE and all was good. Not seeing it now on 5.1.1 stock. If running ASOP no telling.
I had the same issue with a G3, but can't remember anything about it or how I fixed it.

I found that the modem/radio I'm using is for t-mobile and wifi calling, so that could be the issue. It's questionable though since it does work, just not always. You'd think if I had the wrong modem it just wouldn't work.

When running a rom these type problems should be posted in the rom thread. Once move from stock we have no option but to have you return to stock to troubleshoot. Once the base system is modified we have no way to troubleshoot it. I run stock rooted with kernel. If something broke it Google or the kernel. You have rom that could be many things. Bad flash, Dirty flash. ect.

Actually, that's to be expected. Every build will work with every carrier, just certain features won't work. Updates are based on your sim.

I tried a stock rom for testing and it seemed to work, but since I don't always know when I miss a call it's incredibly hard to narrow down. It works every time I call it, so it seems completely random that it doesn't work.

Yes it should work. The differences in the builds are in the telephony and ril builds of the software.
