Where can i download the latest CWM Recovery for CM12?
I just finished installing Official Cyanogenmod 12 (CM12) but i just realised i can't get into recovery coming from CM11 there must be a new version kicking around somewhere for CM12 for Xperia Z1, Iv'e tried searching on Google and XDA but i can't find a compatible CWM recovery to install to work as i know there compatibility issues...i'm on 5.02 Lollipop CM12 so i dunno what version of CMW recovery to try as it seems folk online like to say things are indeed the latest just to get views and hits by downloading there crapware
I hope someone here can help
there is no CWM but there are images to flash to get TWRP or Phil-Z (CWM with touch control)

I'm trying to flash PacROM 4.4 and I'm encountering a problem with "set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed".
As I searched its because of old recovery tools, but I'm already uusing CWM 4.4.1 and I cannot find out what to do.
The way I tried to flash ROM :
1. Flash stock .254 ROM
2. Install TowelRoot and CWM
3. Flash with CWM 4.4.1 and this is where error come up (kernel 207 works)

edit: I managed to install VANIR ROM, and later with the same method I managed to install PAC ROM too. I used CWR not Philz.
Your problem was most likely related to your recovery, which was probably outdated.
CM based ROMs sometimes have issues with older versions of CWM.
The reason why it worked after installing Vanir is probably because of Vanir's kernel which includes a more recent version of CWM.
Anyway, glad you got it working.
Hello everyone I am using a Sony xperia c5502.I have flashed quite a few ROMs on my xperia zr.Recently I flashed a unofficial build cm12 rom which replaced my philz recovery with stock cyanogen recovery.I have been trying to install a custom recovery.I used flash gordon and flashify to flash cwm zip but it didn't work.My phone being a low activity device rom manager or simpler ways to install recoveries arent supported.Somebody please help me out.

but failed.
Tried different versions of CWM ... got stuck with Status 7 error.
Later on, I also thought of trying TWRP as mentioned in the above link.
The phone goes into bootloop...does not start-up but yea, i can go into the CWM Recovery.I tried flashing TWRP over CWM.It did not replace the existing cwm.
Current CWM recovery on my phone is PhilZ-cwm6-ZSLO2-OZS-5.00.5-signed
Tried to flash this Resurrection_Remix_LP_v5.4.5-20150519-i9100 but got status 7 error which means i used a wrong recovery i think..
Please tell me which version of CWM should i use or maybe TWRP.
and also a stable Resurrection ROM ..
And which G Apps should i use ...i have the latest one (5-27-15) ?_?
Am i suppose to flash a stock firmware all over again? Or can i just fix my phone by flashing the remix 5.4.5?

I have only 2 ROMS downloaded on my PC as of now resurrection 5.4.5 and 5.4.0(stable) so is it possible to fix my phone using these?
With your current recovery flash raw kernel for cm11 or cm12.. Then boot into new recovery and flash the RR ROM.

but now when i flash the Resurrect Remix 5.4.5 .. I get an error "Status 7" - Installation aborted.
*still stuck at bootloop* *can only go into recovery*

Did you reboot into the new recovery? Also make sure you have good download.. It could be a broken zip too. I still don't get what bootloop you are talking about.
I have installed latest carbon rom on my device. (d5803 z3c) I installed twrp and when i downloaded rom installer it asked which recovery i had, i put twrp.....downloaded gapps and boot into recovery, but when i went to recovery it was cyogen one so i didnt carry on.
also when i downgraded firmware to 4.4.4 when i installed the carbon rom its now 5.1 or something so would the gapps for 4.4.4 still work ?
Just taking a while to get my head round all this has i aint messed about with phones for a couple of years so abit rusty now.
I'm sorry to bother you all with this silly problem but because i'm kinda new in this i need a bit help with the recovery.
So the problem is that i had used before the normal recovery for Xperia E1, but several days ago i tried to install the CM-11 build from Caio99BR for what i'm really pleased.
So after installing the CM-11 from him my recovery switch to TWRP but the problem is that if i try to install the (KillaMade-ROM or the Illumination-ROM) after install and after the Sony logo i'm getting just white screen on what i can't do anything :/ .
So iv'e would like to back up somehow from the TWRP recovery to the normal one where i can use these ROMS.
Download the kernel with Philz recovery from XDA. Download Rashr from play store and flash this kernel throught it. sorry for bad English.
