Hey all, after following this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69vmj7aGRTo) I have hit a dead end in the process. It keeps getting stuck at "creating vm <loljavasucks>". I have USB debugging on, tried running in safe mode (my device) and ive tried using both MTP and MSP modes but still nothing. any help would be appreciated

If I'm right, I've read somewhere that there is a way to root your phone via flashing JB 4.3 stripped Kernel ,then rooting it and re-flashing kernel to original one.
You could give a try to do that, maybe it work.
I'm talking about 4.4.4 version.

How to root 10.5.1.A.0.283 / 10.5.1.A.0.292
The exploit used in Easy Root/towelroot etc is now patched. As stated above, you need to flash a vulnerable kernel to root, then flash back your original kernel.

X8 soft bricked, forgot to turn on usb debugging

Hi, I just installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836116 and everything went good until I had to reboot, my phone got stuck on "Sony Ericsson". I did some research and found out I soft bricked my phone and that I need to install new kernel, I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836117 with flashtool but it keeps saying that my phone have usb debugging off.
My problem now is I don't know how to turn debugging on without accessing phone settings, and I can't do that because my phone won't go past "Sony Ericsson". If you know how to turn usb debugging off please tell me.
Sorry if this was answered somewhere, I was searching but I wasn't able to find and I need to go for couple hours so posting here seems like best thing to do.
Thank you in advance.

Did everything, now I am stuck on different Sony Ericsson loading screen.
I had the same problem. You should get back on 1.6 and do all things again that's what I did. But there's more solutions.

follow the instructions at the link i provided and you will go back at 2.1 and then start reading more and learn how to install a rom and what are the requirements, probably you dont even know that in order to flash the rom you tried to flash you need a custom kernel, if you dont know about custom kernels you dont know about unlocking bootloader.....go ahead i think i gave you many terms to google
take your time and read the guides

I did like that because I didn't know how to get back in the beggining then I founded only kernel for 2.1

After flashing flash-tools say to turn on debugging to root your rom.

Just use Sony Ericsson Update Service download it and run and follow the instructions.
At the end you will be running stock 2.1 rom and kernel. From there do whatever you were trying to do before.
I tried again, thought it didn't work and went to have lunch, when I came back I was surprised to see it loaded. For some reason first time loading took him about 30 min. Thank you all!

Hi all, if anyone is having trouble flashing with flash tool because usb debugging isn't enabled error then do this procedure.......
1. Dowload latest flash tool 0.9.18.8 and also version 0.6.6
2. Try use the latest version first to Flash the tft rom. NOTE: remember the file it has error flashing e.g on my experia sp file system.sin was not able to Flash bcoz usb debugging error (enable usb debugging and unknown sources) ALL THE REST of the files flashed ok!
3.try flash again the rom but this time tick system.sin (or error file) in flashtool to exclude it from flashing. Make sure all other files are included. Also tick all wipe caches options and flash rom without system.sin (or error file).
4. Flash procedure will work. Now disconnect phone and leave it off without restarting it.
5. Uninstall flashtool latest version 0.9.18.8 and install flashtool 0.6.6 old version and open it to Flash the same rom BUT THIS TIME only select the system.sin file (or error file) to be flashed and rest excluded. Make sure all wipe options in flashtool are enabled and Flash! THE FLASH WILL WORK WITHOUT USB DEBUGGING ERROR and your phone will be fixed!
Press thanks if it helped!

Help! 4x hd CWM bootloop error! Flashed wrong CWM.

Hello I have an unlocked Lg optimus 4x hd software version 4.1.2 JB. I recently successfully rooted it but CWM said there wasn't one available for my phone on the rom manager app so i found one. I would post a direct link to it but apparently im not allowed to yet.
I realised that this was realised almost a year ago after the fact, this probably is what messed my phone up.
I installed it and ran it, when my phone rebooted it was stuck in a boot-loop. I can still access the default android recovery screen and I tried hard resets and clearing the caches but I'm still stuck on the LG logo. My computer still says that its installing drivers when i plug the phone in but it won't let me do any thing. I have looked around the forums and the solutions i found aren't helping me. Any help would be appreciated.

Access the android recovery screen, then select adb sideload.
if you can access adb mode, you can use all in one tools.
ALL IN ONE (TOOL)
Try this way.
Good luck
thanks but...

You just need to be able to get in S/W Mode by pressing "Vol- & connect to PC".
For a better flash try to use LGFlash Tool, look here:

Post #7 have all you need to do it.
Good luck.

Hi there,
I flashed the wrong cwm as well on my gf phone. (she's going to kill me)
Anyway, the All-In-One tool does'nt help me. I can perform the root (which is useless, because I cant even boot) but I cannot anything. I think it's because no sd is mounted.
Code:
Choose The Number :-7
Now connect your phone with "Debugging" enabled .
Drücken Sie eine beliebige Taste . . .
Copying files ,, Please wait ...
failed to copy 'O4X_OR_R.img' to '/mnt/sdcard/O4X_OR_R.img': No such file or dir
ectory
sh: cat: /mnt/sdcard/O4X_OR_R.img: No such file or directory
rm failed for /mnt/sdcard/O4X_OR_R.img, No such file or directory
I can't even boot into the S/W mode. I just get a grey (or sometimes blue) screen.
Please help!
try to take the battery out plug the phone with a cable on your computer. Insert battery again. Flash firmware
edit: it seems like your all in one tool doesn't find the image.

flash a firmware using LG-KDZ-UPDATE-TOOLS. Search them in google,
Follow instructions found in the internet. I can give you a link but its in german. There is probably an english equivalent here somehwere.

Problem install CM on Xperia SP

Hello guys, this is my first post, I am writing to ask for any kind of help for a problem I'm having with an Xperia SP, I describe everything.
The mobile stock has started to have problems with the SIM, turned off all the time, how to Fix PC Companion is not served at all. I wanted to try to install the CM to see if the problem disappeared, but since I could not access the phone I could not turn on USB debugging. Following the guide to install the CM11 get to the point where I access the Recovery where I have to choose how to transfer the MOD on the phone, but the problem comes here, after reboot the phone is no longer seen, the reason is for USB debugging disabled? Or for other reasons? Can I get around this?
I tried to load the MOD on the SD Card and start it from Recovery but the experiment failed. Tell me something wrong, how do I proceed?
Thanks in advance.

Is this a hard brick you're trying to explain? You can try to reflash stock FTF by using Flashtool. Please refer to this thread and report your findings here

[Q] MemoPad 7 Me173x Bricked

Hello to everyone. I have in my possession an Asus Memopad 7 Me173x as the title suggest. It was given to me from a friend to recover it but it seems harder than I figured. Usb debugging mode is not enabled, it cannot go to recovery - when I boot it into recovery it shows me a dead android with a red triangle. I have tried flashing it with numerous different roms using SP Flash Tool, getting all sorts of errors, get past one stumble upon another one. I Installed Linux on my desktop pc to try and flash recovery using fastboot, I added the proper text for the android rules file, but I'm getting the "waiting a device" error. The tablet isnt hardly bricked, like it doesnt turn on. Actually the thing is it boots to android, an error pops, the tablet restarts over and over. When I power it on once, I have to take it apart and remove the battery, because it cant turn off, just keeps rebooting. I thought if I could flash custom recovery and use an sd card to install stock rom using the recovery it should fix. The bootloader is locked, usb debugging isnt checked and the tablet doesnt boot properly. Any guidance towards fixing it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I'm also new to linux, but kind of getting along.
I did a google research if there is a way to enable usb debugging if the tablet is bricked, but sadly I did not find anything.

Z3 Compact stuck on bootloop no recovery

Hi guys,
So I'll tell you the whole story here. I was on Lollipop, fully rooted with working XZDR recovery but phone seemed laggy so I decided to give it a full format with the newer firmware. So I backed up everything. Booted into recovery. Formatted the whole phone, then took out the SD card to load on the zip file from the PC. On inserting it, it wouldn't be detected so I tried to reboot into recovery using the inbuilt option but forgot that recovery too would have been deleted. Since then its just stuck on the Sony logo. It reboots by keeping the Power button and Volume Up pressed, but to no avail. I tried to flash the image using Flashtool but it doesn't recognize the phone when I try to connect it in Fastboot using the Volume Down during Reboot method. Nor do I get a blue LED on the phone. I guess it isn't entering Fast boot.
Please help out since its my daily driver. Help appreciated. Thanks
Oh hey guys managed to restore using Flashtool. Tried booting phone into Flash Mode again and idk how it worked this time. Breathing a sigh of relief.
Could you please explain in detail how did you managed to get out of bootllop....it seems i sucked exactly like you & now clueless....
First of all, try repair it with Pc Companion. If that doesn't work, try with flashtool.
Keep in mind, to enter flash mode, press volume down button and insert usb cable.
tried PC companion & got error 2003 (Unlocked Bootloader & rooted wont work it seems)
Flashtool, will give a try again....
As of now, i am able to go to the fastboot & can open files on my PC when connect phone via USB cable....
Phone not booting up normal/recovery mode....It just stucked with boot loops
Tried flashtool---Ended up with errors as attached pic
As i cant bootup my phone...USB Debugging option cant be ticked
I was running SlimLP (unofficial) while bricked my phone....
Anything on that please....

Try installing Flashtool ver 0.9.10.2beta4 - you can see in this tutorial section #5: Device connected with USB Debugging off, ergo you dont have to have USB Debugging on: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-stock-roms-t2240614

Not sure what you mean....... all I can say is, Flashtool 0.9.10.2beta4 does not require USB Debugging to be turned on to work and I definitely didnt turn USB Debugging on before starting the root process. Later yes but not before.
Try it or not, thats up to you.....
