Hi all,
I've just started developing watch faces for the LG G Watch R and Sony SmartWatch 3 after being a seasoned developer for the Sony SmartWatch 2. They should also work on any other Android Wear watch that's running the latest Lollipop 5.x update. I've published a few on Google Play but unfortunately they're hard to find via the Google Play search - easiest way is to see them via my Facebook page www.facebook.com/JJWwatchfaces or via my direct Google Play link www.julianjwong.com. Note that majority of them are SmartWatch 2 watch faces - you should be able to easily tell the difference from the app icon in Google Play.
Note that you can also find a few of my watch faces on Amazon here.
Hope you enjoy them!

I have a G Watch R running 5.1.1 and Urbane ported thanks to leedroid (wifi works great by the way).
The issue is ever since I got the 5.1.1 OTA update and before I did the Urbane port, the Play Music app never updated to the Urbane version. Many sites reviewed the new update on the Urbane as seen below:
http://indiatoday.intoday.in/techno...d-wear-control-music-smartwatch/1/438588.html
I figured OK, I do not have an Urbane so maybe it's updated per device. Well, I wanted WiFi on my watch too so I took matters into my own hands. I followed leedroids Urbane port and everything is working great except I still have the old Play Music app. My phone and watch show it as a full fledged Urbane and I even got the LG Pulse and Urbane specific watch faces during the port.
My question is has anybody got the newest Play Music app to work on the 5.1.1 update??? I really want to be able to browse my library and playlists.
I am having the same issue.
I have looked everywhere for an answer to this as well. I am running the OTA update on my G watch R and have been unable to access this feature. Has anyone found out how to activate it?
i have an all-access subscription which makes me want this working even more.
It only works on 5.1.1 AW devices supported by android phones with Lollipop 5.0+ (API 21) so you must have kitkat on your phone I am guessing
I miss this feature and didn't even have it! I thought the one of the points of keeping OEMs out of the Android Wear was to prevent the fragmentation that plagues phones/tablets. You would think Google would make the app the same for all 5.1.1. users.

I do have KitKat
Thanks for the info. I am still upset that this requires an "all lollipop" environment. stupid
I'm new to smart watches and android wear. Pinterest is listed on google play as an Android wear app, But after installing on my Samsung s4 the app does't show up on watch.
I've tried the usual, reboot watch and phone with no joy. watch is connected since it communicates with the phone with other apps. Seem to have the same problem with "watchmaker" app.
I just got my GWR yesterday and I can't install any watch faces from the google play store nor will it update (came out of the box with 4.4). I had a Gear Live (Samsung's Android Wear watch) that received the OTA 5.1.1 update and I was able to install watch faces. I tested the GWR on 3 different devices and factory resetted it at least 10 times. Same problem each time. All the notification functions work perfectly. I'm able to install Web Browser and Wear Mini Launcher.
I noticed the Android Wear app was updated on August 18. Did Google remove functionality? After I download watch faces from the Google Play store, I don't see an option to change the watch face in the Android Wear app. Are others having the same problem? I attached a screen shot.

You have the same problem as a couple of users in this thread on xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch-r/help/how-to-update-lg-g-watch-r-t3177653 and this thread ( https://productforums.google.com/fo...er#!msg/android-wear/lCEQwWynNZo/xqsgS_VGAgAJ ) on the Google Product Support forum, myself included (although I am running 4.4W.2).
You currently have 2 choices. Either follow the first thread and update the watch manually or you can wait for a little while longer. I would wait (and will) because I believe the reason why we are still on 4.4 is because LG "closed the doors" for OTA updates and will open it with the latest update that was announced today - http://www.androidcentral.com/lg-g-watch-r-will-gain-wi-fi-functionality-thanks-android-wear-update .
Dear All,
I have the urbane watch and i use it with iphone 6.
i see many watch faces but i can't add them in ios android wear app.
it's possible to add the faces directly in the watch without using iphone?
alternately i can synchronize the watch with more devices (both ios and android)?
Thanks in advance.
I've installed several 3rd party watch faces in the android wear app but they aren't showing up on my LG G Watch R running AW2
Open Playstore on the Watch and swipe down... there you find the downloads for the Watchfaces ...
In AW2 apps are not installed on the watch automatically. You can install on phone and watch separately which is good. But installing on the watch is slow and cumbersome. Open Google Play store on the watch and you'll find a menu called "apps on phone" or something like that.
You can also install other wear apps directly to the watch without having to run the companion app on the phone.
