Was curious if anyone running lollipop gpe would want to test a potential fix/work around for phantom voicemail as its worked for me so far

I was getting it, I don't since I've applied a temp kind of fix that has stopped the notification and I know I'm not the only one experiencing it
I'll test it out but it might be a day or 2. I was going to do the same thing but I haven't got around to rummaging through smali and xmls...

Yup saw the edit in a other thread and tried it out for digitals gpe and haven't had the issue since I've used it keep it for whenever I run gpe now since I'm an unfortunate soul who has the phantom voicemail and can't swap phones thanks to Sprint easy pay
Yeah that was the main reason I left that rom... So annoying. And I've been so busy during the holidays that I've never attempted to solve it.

I've actually had it since early December I just didn't think it worked but I think I kept forgetting to reboot it and I was flashing too frequently so I could never remember if it was applied or not digital is gonna implement it if someone else confirms its working
This seems to work for me. I tested incoming and outgoing calls and all is well so far. Running DH's latest. Thanks! That icon was such a pain...
Yeah this has worked for me. Thanks! I'm using skydragon gpe on at&t.

EDIT: 2.9.2 is now available which should fix roam control not working after the MJA update.
There is a brief delay before it roams so give it a change to do its thing.
MrGreg has released Roam Control 2.9.1 which adds support for our Galaxy S4.
What does this mean?
for those of you who have bad data or coverage you can pair this up with an appropriate PRL and get better voice / data coverage!
Here is a LINK to the website where you can get the app.
Please be sure to click HERE and find a thread to thank MrGreg in as he is usually inactive on XDA.
Enjoy!

Thank you SO much for this update. You made my freakn day!! Verizon has full bars LTE on my block, where as Sprint literally doesn't have any service what so ever, I roam on Verizon 95% of the time (but I have an AirRave at the house, but before the AirRave that is what would happen!). But also even 5-10 minutes outside of my block I get horrible service. I bought Roam Control on my GS3 and now I get to use it on my GS4 too, thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still not working here. It gets su and does nothing. Stock rooted MDL with newest ktoonz Kernel.
Edit. Reboot and works like a champ
besides its stuck on roaming even after mdc back to stock??
Well I had to use the dialer code to re activate my phone so wierd. Any one else have this issue?
Does not work for me. Switching does abolutely nothing.

I believe people are having problems with the mdl and above firmware update. The mdc firmware was the one that you could easily rewrite the prl if I remember correctly. I am going to try rolling back to mdc then test roam control and see where I get.

Wonder what's gonna happen on MF9.

When I answer my ONE, I gotta say hello at least twice, sometimes three times before the caller can hear me.
Anyone have any thoughts about this. I am running D3RP 1.ROM

I am willing to bet you are all using google voice. This is a typical symptom of google voice users. From my experience it has to do with voice settings, but it might not be the case. It depends on a combination of things.
Seems as though it is probably happening to all of us on 1.31 being the first update that has HD Voice which, I am guessing, is why we have that issue... Just have to get it working flawlessly now type thing since it is finally here
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4
A lot of evo lte users had the same issue. It seems to be a semicommon HTC issues. Most likely due to HD voice and/or two mics. Something isn't kicking in properly. We've been able to fix the issue with a reset. But there have been rare cases that didn't solve the issue so had the phone replaced. But a reset usually fixed the issue. Also having lte on caused it for some. Switching it to just cdma fixed it for some. Luckily we aren't having data issues. A lot if evo lte owners can't even use the data and has serious call issues when lte/cdma is turned on. Hope this helps
Edit: I should add that you should try turning lte off first before attempting anything else lol. That is a more widespread issue right now

Half the issues are people complaining as usual. No issues here. If you want zero bug free you will wait for an update forever.
And if these were real issues then the news will across all tech blogs.

The lag when unlocking from the active notifications is a real bug. The 'fix' that people are posting here only works for a little while.

Not sure if this is a Sprint issue or a phone issue... My phone is showing texts as "Sending" for a very long time. The recipient is reporting receipt of the same messages like 9 times. How do I tell if this is my phone, or a Sprint issue?
Edit: Some texts also report failed to send when they didn't fail to send. And all this seems to happen when I'm connected to my corporate wifi, when on LTE, it seems to be okay.
I had this same issue on the first day of use. I have Ting (Sprint). Everything happened like you explained, the text took forever to send on my end, and then the person received it around 10 times. Luckily, nobody has complained since. Hopefully the issue was corrected.

Not corrected yet for me.
I'm on sprint also... My text take a long time also, but for me I have to switch to 3g for them to send. They just spin if I don't switch. I'm thinking it's a phone issue because they sent just fine on my G2 running lollipop.

Could be related to something with the wifi network I'm on, because last night I was on my home wifi and it was fine, no multiple texts and they sent VERY quick. When I'm on my corporate wifi it's slow, gives false failure messages and sends a ton of times. Is Lollipop different with sending texts somehow that wifi can impact it?
Edit: Jinxed myself. Happened while on LTE. Maybe it's an area issue or something... This zip code has tons of issues with Sprint.
Known issue, there is a thread further down. There is a 20 plus page thread at Sprints CS board too. Supposedly the update on 12/15 will correct the issue.
The current workaround is to put your phone in 3G mode. If it's on LTE it spits out numerous texts.

Do other ROMs like CM12 have this issue resolved?
Hi all,
I normally use textra for messaging. I noticed this morning I couldn't send any MMS messages. My textra app updated yesterday, and I received a new OTA yesterday (24 or 26 mb) so I wasn't sure if it was either of those or my network. I tried sending mms messages in the stock messages app and in the messenger app without success so now I'm wondering if it's the phone vs the network. APN settings are all correct still. Am I the only one?
Thanks!
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
I'm on ATT as well. Sending MMS seems to be working fine for me. I'm on OOS 3.5.4, using latest Textra, and am rooted (doubt that makes any difference).

I have no idea if this could be the issue or not, but I know in the past, on other devices, I've had some issues when using a SIM from my previous phone. I couldn't use MMS for a while after I switched. I just had to wait for some stuff on the carrier's end to update. Getting a new SIM might fix or speed up the process, but I don't know for sure. Good luck!

That's great news! Glad to hear it's all working again! For some reason, I actually seem to remember having similar issues like that on my OnePlus 2 every once in a while. I remember just having to wait it out, and it'd somehow just resolve itself eventually.
