Hi guys as i know the lg optimus 2x has p990 in the model number and the T-mobile g2x has p999 in the model number ...the problem is that i have T-mobile written on the front of my phone but whene i checked setting===>about i found p990 in number model also i found lg p990 in the ticket under the battery !! Iwant to install a custum rom so which forum should i use this forum or the T-mobile forum ???

I had 2x with LG logo but my screen broke and it was replaced with the T-Mobile logo

You can use this forum just dont flash any build related to SU660 thats Korean version of Optimus 2x

Hi LG Optimus 2x users,

Hmm...then You need to install custom rom on that 2X to check if its a hardware or software prob.
If custom rom detects it, its a software fault, of not, then you.need to take it to cust. Care

Maybe it's best to send it right away to customer support as they might not like a custom ROM so much?
Hi,
I have just bought a 2nd hand Optimus 2x. It came with Android 2.2.2 installed so I ran the mobile support tool to upgrade to Gingerbread to at least try the stock rom before trying anything else.
It said there was an update available but after checking the phone said i have the latest version installed (v20l).
When i checked i have the 725 baseband but the v10b rom.
Does that mean that someone has had a custom rom on it before and loaded the Froyo rom bck on it?
Whats my best option? Go back to older baseband and let phone auto detect and install latest, just flash v20l rom or go to a custom rom i.e. Cyanogen?

It seems that the base band has been changed.. its not a problem imo, u can update the fone through the lg update tool on a computer or just do the ota update.. the letters at the end (v20b) is representative of the country but should not affect u.. once u have updated u can root and the down load the get ril app and check if the base band and ril match (if not that app will help u fix it) .. all In all shouldn't be any problems updating

Yeah tonyp's baseband thread is awesome.. really easy to do.. do a back up first tho ... good luck if you don't know which base band u should have try Googling or there is a tool u can use.. u can't reneger what it is but ill find it for u

HI, i am currently using cm10 nightlies version on my lg optimus 2x. However, i cant connect to my data plan. So i would like to remove my cm10 from my lg optimus 2x. But it seem that i cant download the stock version from the threat. Anyone can kindly send me the download link for the stock version of lg optimus 2x. I use Singapore Starhub. Flash the European V30a kdz with NVFlash. there are guides showing you how to do it. Or just use CM10.
