Hi! I've faced some problem with stock L90 launcher:
Every time I unlock the screen all widgets are refreshing (widgets just disappear for a half a second and reappear), this is pretty annoying.
I have about 300 MB free memory, so I doubt it depends on the lack of memory. And this is apparently not normal because there was no such problem few weeks ago.
Maybe somebody know how to fix that?

No, its normal. Been on stock and modified stock rooted. Does the same on all version, l90 stock f oms have little more lag than some custom roms, e hich even do it ome times, find it annoying my self but no way around it at the moment unless you want to install a custom rom which helps some what.

I've figured out that in my case widgets don't redraw if option Keep WiFi on during sleep is set to "Always" or if WiFi is completely off.
And widgets keep redraw if this option is set to "Only when plugged in" even if no WiFi networks connected.

i tried almost every ics rom and at start they all were very fast but after some time they become much much slow. any solution for this
Can this be because of your installed applications and overall system debris.

No not like that. I installed vry few apps but stil it gets slow. I tried Docs rom, slim rom even every 1 but they all get slow after some time. I always do full wipe and than instal clean fresh rom

Try restarting your phone, wiping up all the cache. Maybe this might help.

I have exactly the same problem. Wiping cashe through CWM doesn't change anything, it still gets slower after a few hours or a day max.
I have SE xperia neo v, rooted, unlocked bootloader, rom pureness 11, kernel nightelf 1.4. It gets so slow it actually refreshes/crashes (not sure) ex launcher pro and I can't do anything but reboot. Then everything is great and very fast at the beginning and then gets slower.
There is about 70mb RAM both at the beginning and later when it gets slow so I suppose it's not the full ram problem? CPU is also mostly free, I check if games are not running in background so that is not the problem as well. Internal space: about 85mb free and a few GB free on SD.
I have lots of apps installed (about 50) but I think it would slow my mobile from the very beginning after reboot?
Any advice?
I'm no expert on these devices, but I can tell you what I do to help with this problem... I simply hold the home button down until the recent apps show and then slide them off the screen. My phone runs OK for a few hours until I rinse and repeat...

Thanks, I will try it when the phone gets slow again and let you know it it helped.
Edit:
Nope, that's not it at all. Deleted everything from recent apps the way you told. Go launcher EX is right now turning on and off constantly, most of apps that are usually open have long since closed themselves. I have to reboot, there's nothing else I can do.
Edit 2:
I have deleted a few apps that I don't or rarely use and 4/5 of games I had. It stopped crashing my launcher and I don't have to reboot anymore. So I guess it was just too many apps and games (unless on the way I've done sth else that helped that I'm not aware of).
hello Community
I own a silver HTC ONE since the end of April. In the Beginnings I haven´t had any Problems, but recently my phone started to lag and I really have heavy slow downs.
I tried many things like turning off the battery safe mode or just factory rested it. Afters a few days the lags start again. I also tried to turn of apps like Facebook and Twitter because I dont use them.
Where I can really see the lags is when I type in my password in the lockscreen. First I thought it was Swiftkey. But then I tried other typing apps and it´s still the same. Also on the home screen when I enter the app drawer.
I dont have any problems with games. For example I own the games "Combo Crew" and "World of Goo" and I never experienced a lag in those games.
My phone is not rooted nor do I use another launcher.
If there is anyone who has the same problem and solved it please respond. Or if anyone can tell me what I can do to get rid of those lags.
I dont like to send my phone back to amazon again because it is the 3rd HTC One I got (the previous phones had a lot of dead pixels)
Thanks for any kind of help

The best way to test this is to reset your phone, and install apps 1 by one until it occurs again. Remove that app and try again. Might take awhile, but probably the most reliable
I already thought of that... but like you said.. time consuming... but I think I wont have a choice

What is exactly happening when you type in your password? I just tried mine and it seemed fine. Also can you explain more about the lag in the app drawer please?

I've had some performance issue with my Optimus 2X for a while now. It really seems like a memory problem because let's say I unlock my phone, and just want to swipe the pages, it'll hang there for a couple seconds, then it will swipe the page in a very choppy way. But after a couple swipes (3-4), it becomes normal and fluid. This is just an exemple, often I'll try be doing something on my phone and it'll just take forever to load and it will end up saying "xxxx isn't responding, do you want to close it, WAIT, REPORT, OK". Then I just click wait and everything is fine for a little while.. another exemple: Just now I had my GF send me a text message, I click the txt box to reply and it took close to 10sec for my Swiftkey keyboard to show up.
I had been running CM7 for a while and recently decided I could try other Roms/Kernel and it might just help..A month or so ago I went in Paranoid Android, but if anything the phone was even slower.
Last week I went with CM10. At first the phone seemed more responsive but the more apps I reinstalled and the more widgets I put, it slowly became the same again.
I had some free time today and decided to investigate a little further. First a look in the System Tuner Pro app, I noticed my memory was almost full (<100mb left) right after a fresh reboot! There was about 250mb in use.. Then I looked in my "About Phone" page already and it says I have 342mb of memory! isn't this phone suposed to have 512mb?

Well I think this could explain a lot, but wtf is happening to my phone. I can't really tell when exactly the "being slow" started, it seems like it started gradually.
It's been a very frustrating phone in the last couple of months, I decided to end my contract as soon as can get my hand on a Note3, but until then I use my phone a lot.. and need it to work properly.
**edit** : Ok nevermind the 342mb, I searched the forum a little and found out the rest (170mb) is used by the Video Memory. Well, anyway, my phone is slow either way, so hopefully you guys have ideas that could help me, perhaps just tell me tools that could help me find the problem, anything...

This is a common problem of our phone due to the low amount of ram, as you said, 512mb, they are simply not enough. Why do you think most recent phones come with 4 time bigger amount of ram (2gb)?
Man, to keep thus old phone responsive, you have to choose the best rom / kernel for you, and setup them for your needs, first find your favourite rom / kernel, I can suggest you what I personally use, therom cm10.2 by tonyp with kowalsky m1 with 32mb ramhack, for me is the best at the moment, but after all, it is a personal choice, there are a lot of good roms. Well, if you want more ram, so multitask, then you have to use a kernel with ramhack, at least 18% ram spended I'm zram, and something like value 60 of swappiness

Also, I saw you have many notification of apps in your status bar.. This is a phone with a low amount of ram remember it. You seriously can't keep all this app installed, especially if they send you any kind of notification, because if they do it this means they take ram = less ram available = slow phone.
Listen to me. This will surely help you. If you don't still using it, you must try the app GREENIFY, it hibernate, means that if a app takes ram, it will no longer take it = free ram = fast phone!
But if you do it of course you will not receive any notification from it, but it's certainly worth it. What is the sense to multitasking from notification to notification if the switch takes 1 year to do?
For example I greenifyed Facebook, which I don't need in ram as I deactivated any notification service from the app but without GREENIFY it still suck like 45 mb of ram, while doing anything, with greenify it doesn't suck anything! Same thing for Google maps, YouTube, and all other apps that suck memory when I don't need them to, but sometimes I use them so I need to keep them installed, but anyway don't use so many apps that aren't indispensable keeped in ram, because they suck ram, and everything sucks ram sucks the general speed of the phone and a bit of battery remember it. My personal suggestion is when you see that a app that you won't greenify because you need its notification sucks much ram, like 15mb.. 20.. Etc, my suggestion is: unistall it, or if you won't to at least greenify it and use it only when you need to see the app itself, then when you're done greenify it again. and hey, saving ram means that you will save battery too. So speed + multitask + battery. What else?

Yea it looks worse than it is. Out of the 6 icons on top, there's really just 3 that I use.
3G watchdog to keep track of my data plan
Lux autobrightness
Weather app
The 3 other icons were just
USB debugging cuz the phone was pluged
System tuner pro, was currently recording data so I could analyze my problem.
And the last app I was testing to monitor bandwitdth (turns out it did take to much resource)
Also earlier today I installed a memory manager app named Memory Booster, it did seem to help .. just a little.
But alright, I'll give Greenify a try as well.. it sounds good
edit: So far it looks very good, I've freed much more ram with this. But I accidently hide some apps, anyway to bring them back in the list?

stock android data counter does the good job without using any 3rd party apps...
Greenify worked magic, it's night and day with my phone now, good catch.

I don't know if this is an issue with 4.3 specifically because I don't recall if this was happening since I installed the update..but my multitasking with this phone has been horrible lately. I mean no matter what app I switch to it begins to reload, even if it's the last one I used or a light application (ex Google Now to Messaging). I already found it frustrating how upon switching apps with this phone it would show you a frozen image for a brief moment before before allowing you to interact with the actual application, but now apps are actually having to reload. I'm using apex pro and it's also redrawing nearly every time I go back to the homescreen, be it from internet, floorboard, etc. Not sure why it's happening but it started like a week ago and my phone has been feeling pretty ****ty because of it. My GS4 w/touchwiz has less multitasking issues than this phone right now, any ideas on what's going on? Stock unrooted 4.3

Power saving mode is not enabled. Regardless that shouldn't have any affect on multitasking, it throttles the cpu, it doesn't limit the RAM
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Well, look at what apps are using your RAM through settings and make sure you are also bringing up the menu and looking at what is being cached in RAM
The ram is listing 1.4 GBs filled of 1.5 but under the running applications there's only a handful and they're only a few mb each. Is no one else experiencing this?

Is there currently any ROM and/or Custom kernel, that doesn't suffer from the memory leak bug?
I am aware that similar questions come up on every other thread.
I also would love to try for myself. Stock KitKat and stock lollipop both suffer from the bug. On lollipop I have much more free ram, but chrome and other apps still redraw when multitasking.
Problem is, I don't want to unlock my bootloader yet, as I'm still considering giving back the phone.
Thanks in advance for any insightful advice.

You seriously want an answer to that?
Just read "every other thread", then come to a conclusion and act accordingly. Or don't, since you don't want to unlock. Your choice.

And yes, I seriously want an answer to that.
I never said, that I didn't want to unlock my bootloader, eventually I do want to unlock it. But according to your reply, I suppose you don't understand that. Nevermind.
Thanks, anyway.
Titan Prime will yield you the best results with memory, from my experience.
Besides that, all you can do is sit and wait for 5.1. And hope that it will fix the problem.
I've got a (german) XT1068, and I was on build RETDEALL 21.85-14 for the longest time (KK 4.4.4). The phone was sometimes close to unusable due to the memory issues: Almost every time I went back to my launcher (Nova) the widgets would reload (all two of them), every 5th time the whole launcher would have to be restarted. When listening to music, the player would often be killed when it's not the foreground app. This all was already with tuned settings and the like. Simply put, my Galaxy S2 was a much better phone, with better performance and multitasking (same amount of ram, but dual core only)...
I've updated to the 5.0.2 build that was (finally) released a few days ago (22.46-28). It's a world of difference. I would say the problems are either gone or at least they got the biggest of issues under control. So far I haven't had it running without a reboot for multiple days (installing xposed and associated modules tends to require reboots), but so far everything is looking perfectly fine. Widgets haven't reloaded even once, let alone the launcher. Multitasking works, even larger apps weren't killed (like reddit news, which tends to use quite a bit of ram after scrolling for a bit).
So I don't know whether it's fixed, but at the very least this is a fully-stock-option that works perfectly fine (for me), even though I'm rooted and use XPosed that is by no means necessary.
I also have the German OTA update. Everything works fine. As for the memory leak for me that is a thing of the past, was really bad in 4.4.4 and I had the same version as the above poster. Everything stopped in the background, in point of fact there was no multitasking. With 5.0.2 I can play music run a navigation app, surf the net no problem and still see over 400Mbyte free ram in setting all without the dreaded app has stopped working or seeing apps restarting.

4.4.4 didn't have a memory leak, just high minfree values I think.
Lollipop does have a memory leak (and thats mostly googles fault) and the memory management is very buggy when compared to kitkat. The memory leak doesn't show instantly, it shows after some time and you can just reboot the phone to "solve the problem".
If you want a really good rom for multitasking I recommend CM 11 or some rom based on it.
4.4.4 definitely has some serious issues on the MotoG, it was not just the min free values. I had tuned those (basically tried everything), but it made no real difference. So far, LP feels like it's a different phone.
I agree. I can't understand how people would go back to KitKat after trying lollipop. Chrome and other apps still redraw when multitasking though. :\
Let's see if 5.1 fixes that.
BTW: does anyone get graphic glitches in Tapatalk and chrome? Sometimes whole areas of the screen turn glitchy, until I switch to another app or press the back key. (Glitchy= pixels in all colours, like an overheated GPU on a PC would produce.)
