Wrong size of sd card on usb storage mode

Hello,
i have a problem with my EXTERNAL sd card on usb storage mode.
When i try to copy somes files on it, windows XP say me there's not available space, and it wrote that's the maximum capacity is about 5 Go ( size of the INTERNAL sd card) instead of the real capacity (16 Go).
Please help me.
PS: excuses my english
PS2:i'd try to search in forum but any solution found.
PS3: I have found the solution in explorer of windows, i've got 2 news storages (internal and external) then i can use each one.
BUT if you try to access on external SD card by the _ExternalSD directory on internal SD windows keep the maximum size of this last.
I'm new on android, and i think that's i have some problems with this file system (mount etc..)

Downloads not saving to SD card..

everytime i download a file or anything from the web, instead of creating a download folder in the root of the SD card, it created one under the Internal Storage....how can i make the SD card to be my Default storage?
SDcard is internal, SDcard-ext is the external card. Haven't seen anyway to default downloads to the external card.
there has to be a way to make the Micro SD card to be the default for downloads and what not. All my other phones have created subfolders under the MicroSD card.
I do not want to use my internal 8gb to save PDF files when i download them from the internet. I want to use my 32GB MicroSD card like it does on other phones...
This has been a NIGHTMARE. I just realized sdcard is internal and sdcard-ext is my actual SD Card. I just assumed sdcard was my flash memory card as this was the case with my Droid X. I changed ES File to the ext location as my default, and my browser's DL section to the ext location as well as Titanium backup. I can't figure out how to save my E-Mail attachments to the ext directory though and I have to continually move them manually, not to mention every app is using the sdcard directory (internal memory) and thinking it is my actual Micro SDHC card. This is a NIGHTMARE and I have read it is not a Motorola problem as new Samsung and HTC phones have the same problem, it is an Android problem. Why the heck would Google change the naming scheme of the SD Card when it worked fine before? Anyway if ANYONE has any solutions suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
I totally agree. There had to be a way to make all downloads, etc save to sd c
ard-ext.
It's probably going to take a custom Rom to fix.

find it yourself please... hehe the name of that action is "swap sd card"... it's by changing fold.vstab file in the system. You need root of course. But I forget how.
Did you not bother to look through Q&A?

[Q] No external sd card shortcut

Hello I have Samsung GT-I9000 and I'm familiar with the phone, more or less. Recently I've bought a used Samsung GT-I9000 for my wife and I noticed that in file manager the shortcut for the external sd card is missing, same is with Root Explorer. I can access the external sd card by accessing the folder /storage and everything works but there is no shortcut. This has not been a problem until recently I wanted to upload a file to my skydrive folder which by default browses the sd_card_0 folder and I could not reach the external sd card. Please if someone could help me how to create a shortcut/link to the external sd card in to the build in sd card. I have searched for similar problems and solutions but I could not find any. Thanks

Hi tihis a know bugs (if you have ICS or later )
Anyway the solution may be the same, use directory bind (serch this app in xda) and create your shotcut where you want (root are needed )
try mnt folder. or make sure sd card are properly inserted. Any rooted file explorer can access to sd.
To make it clearer, this is the problem on the phone - the pointed folder is missing!

I'm not allowed to post external links so please go to the quoted url.
EDIT: I forgot to mention I'm using the awsome Xylon 2.4.1 Jelly Bean 4.2.2 ROM for I9000
try to browse ur url but da img not available there
after http there is a blank field which needs to be replaced with ://
i ........ nevermind.
are u rooted?
to be sure, juz rooted da explorer by clicking setting in menu button, and redirect everything to /storage/sdcard1
ur sd and internal are quite there so whats da problem? all 4.2.2 version already in ext4 so da folder /external_sd doesnt been used anymore, its for GB, u can see it by going to properties of da /external_sd and see there will be no space available.
JB uses /storage at / to indicate da sdcard, its proper that way and easy to organise
at /storage, there will be 2 directories, /sdcard0 (indicates your internal and /sdcard1 (indicates your external sd)
as i see here, there is nothing wrong with ur pic and fone
edited: i use root explorer so its taking a while for me to download CMfilemanager (well, gonna change ROM after this so installing it not a bother to me)
da first 2 thumbnail is my root explorer, the other are da same file explorer as yours
see thumbnail:
To solve this problem I used SiMi Folder. see this link
I also found Smart Shortcuts, which I like even better. see this link

Storage issue

I can't download anything to internal or storage in my hot 2 i can set external sd card as default storage from setting but still I'm not able to download video and pic in external storage.. I'm changing the setting continuously but when i download something an error occurs (file can't be downloaded to the destination path something like this) when i set phone memory as the default storage the problem still persists. So how to write to both storage at once and get rid of changing the setting again and again?
