no service problem - HTC Desire C

Hello,
I bought a new sim card in Amsterdam because I will have to stay there for a while. However, when I insert card in HTC desire C it doesn't find any networks. It recognizes that it is 'lebara' sim card, but when I try looking for networks it just says 'error while connecting to networks'.
Frequencies are the same as in my old country (Lithuania) and my old sim works perfectly. What could be the reason and a fix?
by the way, im using cm 11 rom, RC2 or RC3 release, i dont remember
question solved - i was given outdated card. expired date...

[Q] Galaxy S i9000 Sim Card Not Recognized

Hey guys,
I have a Galaxy S i9000 International Version, and I'm in New Zealand. I was running Darky's Rom 10.2 RE, and I tried updating to 10.2.2 Final. I did something stupid, I think I might have had my lagfix on, but I managed to bootloop. I reflashed to a Gingerbread ROM that I had lying around, but my SIM card was no longer recognized. I tried another SIM card, which also didn't work. My SIM card worked in another phone though.
I had a look around, and my IMEI number was still right, so I backed up my EFS, just in case I killed it. I then flashed a local stock Froyo rom, VNZJP3. Still no sim card recognized. So right now, I'm on a Stock Froyo rom, rooted, and I have no idea where to go.
did you flash the roms with sim card in the phone? That could have been the problem, that happened to me.
I took my phone back to shop where i got it and they replaced the sim card and problem fixed.
I did indeed. Other SIM cards don't work in the phone though and the SIM card works in other phones.
FWIW this happened to me (also on a Darkys ROM oddly enough)
After initial panic I simply reflashed the ROM and all was fine.
Silly question but have you enabled all the services (like use packet data etc)
I did reflash my rom, no dice. Also, my services are definitely enabled, but it doesn't actually recognized the SIM card.

I never remove the sim card when flashing. Maybe " airplane " mode is ON.

i have tried another sim card in my phone and it works!
i have tried another phone with my card and it works!
i dont understand if its a sim card problem or phone problem.
i have 2.3.7 kernel 2.6.32.9 cyanogenMod 7.2.0
does anyone help me out?
Tell your carrier that your phone keeps rebooting with the SIM card they gave you and they unless they replace the SIM for free, you see no reason to continue service.
the problem is that my sim card works in other phones.
Now i got my milestone back to the stock and it seems to work.
I think it was the cyano 7 but now without it my phone sucks!

[Q] S1 didn't connect to mobile network

Hi all,
I have a strange behavior with one Galaxy S1.
I bought a used S1 on eBay and flashed Darky Rom V11 Black Edition on it. After that I gave the phone to a friend. He inserted his SIM Card (Provider Blau.de). But the phone can't connect to the mobile network. So i inserted my SIM card in his phone (Provider Telekom.de) and it work.
So i put his SIM Card into my phone (also an S1 with Darky Rom V11 Black Edition) and it work too.
So I'm a little bit confused.
I flashed several other roms on his phone like DarkyRom Resurrection and Cyanogenmod 9.0 stable but nothing helped.
So all facts in short again.
2 Simcards A and B
And two Galaxy S1 with identically software (Darky Rom V11) 1 and 2
Simcard A in Phone 1 didn’t work.
Simcard B in Phone 2 work.
Simcard A in Phone 2 work.
Simcard B in Phone 1 work.
Does anyone have an idea whats wrong?
Greetings White

first of all: stay stock
as for the sim problem, device might be simlocked
try this maybe /showthread.php?t=1360174
Hi Somator,
I will try stay on stock tomorrow. I tried the Unlocker with the nv_data.bin of the phone. It tells me that it can't find any VIDEOcard and ask me If i want that it patch the file directly. I clicked yes and it wrote a new file. But when I use Winmerge to see the differences between the two files there aren't any.
Have the same problem with my sgs1 .
Replaced my antenna went back to stock.
Flashed new modems.
Still ****ty connection

[Q] LG P990 sim card no inserted

Hi gys! I need your help!!! I run official ICS on my LG P990 with my vodafone sim card.
I wanted to gift my phone but when i put cosmote sim(other network) phone doesnt see it, its like no sim card.
I enter menu to manually change the network to cosmote but says "sims doesnt allow it). Do you know whats happenig? It a hardware faulure or it is locked to a network? I already try (and payed too) to unlock my phone with code with no success.
Please help!!!!!
Is your phone network branded? If so you could download and install an European open stock rom and flash that to get around the network permissions.

It was a hardware error! Sim card reader fails and i have replace it. Now everything working fine!
Now that it works well now, cong! I've meet this problem before and it was cause by the rom.

[Q] Provider Problem with Custom Rom

Hello !
I have an Optimus Black with Cyanogenmod 4.1.2. The Phone works well, i have the same SIM Card inside which i bought with the Phone from my Provider.
Now i want to gift the phone to my son, but for that i want my Optimus to accept another SIM Card/Provider.
I thought the Phone is open when i flash the ROM and wipe any Data.
Using any other SIM Card, except my Providers card, causes a Network error.
No Network scan can be made in the Configuration menu.
Or is it a ROM Bug ?
Any idea ?
regards VirtuAl
