Thank you.
The factory upgrade can then be applied? I do not want to replace rom, just use backup program. Eg titanium backup
Previous phone, a galaxy gio was running on CM7. I have used the factory rom for 2 days. Therefore, there is no experience regarding the factory upgrades. D
Sorry for that, but i don´t know if Factory Updates can be applied, because there is no newer Rom available.
I don´t found a Download for the Stock Rom that was installed at delivery.

I've rooted my P7-L00 with the same method and it's ok to do so. Regards
Great to hear the it also works on other Variants of the Ascend P7 too.

Hi.
Does anybody have problem with editing /systems/etc/hosts file? It looks like "HTC S-ON"(system partition read only). I notice that after trying using Adaway(https://sufficientlysecure.org/index.php/adaway/).
On my P7 ist the newest Firmware B121SP01 installed, and i have no Problems to write with RootExplorer on System Partition.

Hi all,
I just received my Ascend P7-00.
After 2 updates, it is in version P7-L00V100R001C17B122SP01 and impossible to root it with the version 1.9.6 of Root Genius !
If you have any idea how to do it, I'll be glad (I need to remove all chinese apps which are polluting my phone !)

Do you still have these problems? I may be able to help.
I have the same problems with my HUAWEI P7-L10 (P7-L10V100R001C00B116SP03)
I tried RootGenius v1.9.6 and v1.9.4 as well (AntiVirus deactivated) but both times it said that this device is not supported.
Has anyone an idea what I'm doing wrong?

I doubt you are doing anything wrong. I'm guessing you have upgraded your phone since you bought it. In some of the more recent Huawei upgrades for the Ascend P7, changes have been introduced by Huawei that render RootGenius and Vroot incompatible. I found the only answer was to revert the phone to an earlier build, root it with either RootGenius or Vroot and then apply the upgrades through HiSuite. This way you don't lose root.
The original rom for the L10 can be found here:
http://android-host.de/HUAWEI/P7/B121SP01/B121SP01.zip
It's a large download.
Once you have it, you need to extract the zip on your computer and then place the dload folder and its contents (update.app) onto a USB stick or your micro SD card and apply the update (settings/updates/system updates) using either the local update (SD card) or USB drive option. I think this should work but I don't have the same variant as you so I can't test. Nor can I guarantee it.
Most of the info on the P7 is in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2643183
You may want to check it out before you do anything. A lot of the contributors have the L10.
Hope this helps
Thanks @arthios for your trick,
You're right, I made the updates before rooting my device.
Unfortunately, I have a L00 version. I need to find the good ROM.
I'll let you know !

OK. You're in luck. The web site "needrom.com" has ROMs for the L00. You'll need to create an account before you can download. I suggest you take the most recent. I think it's build 119. Download it, extract the file to your computer, copy the dload folder and its contents to either SD or USB and using the phone, apply the update. Once it's all done you can root with RootGenius. I replaced the RootGenius binary with SuperSu from the play store. That's just my personal preference but you don't have to. Once rooted you can apply updates through HiSuite. Suggest you retain the ROM you download in case you need to repeat the exercise at some time in the future.

Hi !
I had the same issue.
I found (somewhere here) an apk called Google Installer which allow you to install Google apps without being rooted.
It helps me to install the synchronization of my contacts from my Google account.

It seems that some guys are working on an alternative recovery. But it still under work !
Concerning custom ROMs, I just find one on a russian site. But for now that's all I found ...
I hope that some developers will fall in love for this device
It could help to have a specific folder in xda !
Hello everyone,
I've been trying to make an update for my ascend p7 for the last couple of weeks. I have b121 and I'm trying to update to get b126 or above, but every time I do it (tried OTA and by trying to put the files into a dload folder (i also triedto go to the update menu and select local update)) it shows me a failed message. I have to add I'm rooted and I have Xposed installed (for which I had to delete a system file, can't remember the name, but all P7 users had to do so for Xposed to work).
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to manually remove the root and all linked programs and then install the update? I don't really care for b126 but if Huawei ever releases android L for my device o want to be able to install it without any trouble.
Thanks a lot!!
have you tried the force update method?
have you flashed a custom recovery?
next time try to use the search..it is explained in almost every thread about flashing a rom how to do that..
Gesendet von HUAWEI Ascend P7-L10 B602
I'm sorry I didn't check as I first asked on Reddit and I was on my phone when I posted this.
No I didn't flashed a custom recovery, I might do that for the futur.
I guess you said "force update method" is explained in the "rom flash" threads so I'll check that when I get back home.
thanks for your answer
Basically I've followed a few different methods and got it to work.
Using the firmware finder apk I downloaded the B182 (full) rom.
While this is downloading... Using es Explorer or similar create a folder called hwff in the root of your main storage.
When it has finished downloading...
Check the md5.
Unpack it.
Move to dload.
Then turn it off.
Turn back on using the 3 finger method.
This will then install B182.
Note: when it reboots it will stay on the Huawei red logo for a few minutes.
Let it finish and you will have B182 working.
***********
Now to update to B361.
I used the combination of Huawei updater 2.0 and HiSense to update.
It found it with no issues and I just left it to update.
**********
Update to B378-FULL
This was simply an OTA update through the normal Settings > Update menu.
Fairly painless, just time consuming really.
Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk
Man the update path on these huawei's is killing me. I've only just taken the plunge. Accidentally turned my c432 into a c900 by double flashing a b166 rom. Took me best part of a day to get it back to c432b166!
The amount of slow crappy downloads we have to make in order to make incremental upgrades. Is there not a way that we can just go straight into a later build without all these rollups?
You can just use the proxy install method within the Firmware Finder app, its very easy.
Just google "how to. using firmware finder youtube" as I cant post direct link, then 99% of the work is done for you
Hutchism: Sadly not, from what I've seen you can only jump to Nougat from B182 and nothing earlier - Don't ask me why... Makes NO sense!
Natchi: The proxy install method did not work for me. That's why I did it the way I did... All I know is that it worked and I'm running Nougat.

Hi there, followed your first step with no issues - finally on B182! Struggling to find the B361 update using Hisuite (windows PC), HiCare (app) or the Update app.
Any advice on how to do this? What is Updater 2.0 please?
Thanks very much!
Sam
Hi Sam,
You can find the updater here;

Thanks,
Jay.
Hey guys !
After getting into so many troubles to finally manage to do the Nougat update with Huawei Firmware Finder I realised something :
No TWRP, which means no root (please don't mention KingRoot...) and no Xposed. The last one, I can get used to, but the other two...
So I tried to rollback to Marshmallow using HFF, but I couldn't get any of the two rollback updates files to be downloaded through the proxy. I also tried to rollback to the last B130 available using the dload method, but the recovery (stock, of course) failed to install firmware.
I managed to download a previous update (which wasn't meant to be used to rollback) with HFF proxy, but once the system rebooted to recovery to install the firmware, I got the same error as before.
Am I stuck with Nougat and no proper root ?
Thank your for your time and your help.
EDIT : Didn't find how, but found an unofficial TWRP and modded SuperSU working with EMUI 5/Nougat. Just gave it a go myself and it's working. For those interested : https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/twrp-t3588356
Hello
I would like to update my Honor 9 lite ordered a china
But It seemsthe OTA update does not work in France for this mode Yes or No ?
I just read almost every page of this thread but I must admit that I am not enough to succeed to make all these manipulations.
I managed to download 3 file of the latest update Huawei Firmware Finder.
I have 1 file (update.zip), 1 (update_data_full_public.zip) and another (update_full_LLD-L22A_hw_in.zip)
But now I do not know how to update the firmware with these 3 files.
Yes I am lost because I can not find a simple method to update my firmware.
I used the Huawei Firmware Finder Android application, but I can not start an update even though I downloaded the files as what by the proxi as advised or go through a DNS.
Yes I am a novice but I would like to successfully update this smartphone.
Thank you for your help and advice
Sorry for my english I am using Google translator
Thank you to all of you

Its not that complicated even though it might seen tricky.
There are two ways to do this:
1)firmware finder(Android app)
You can use firmware finder's update through proxy or dns method.
But before you do that go to play store and search for "system update". In the result you can see the EMUI system update app. Click it and uninstall the updates.
Then open firmware finder(Android app) and go to the firmware you want to install. You can find dns method and proxy method there. DNS would be easier but both works.
Choose whichever you want. Select the auto mode for more ease of installing. Then check for updates from the settings app and you will hopefully find the update listed. Download it like normal OTA update and then it'll be installed.
Points to consider:
*This will only work with a locked bootloader and if it is unlocked relock it
*It's recommend to download only full updates as these will have less chance of failing
*Make sure that you only download approved firmwares otherwise the update will be abandoned after download (means you wasted your data for nothing)
*Choose which firmware to install carefully and try to stick with your varient as installing other varient's firmware may fail or cause bugs
2)Through HuRupdater
This is not recommended if you're not familiar with rooting or bootloader unlocks
If you don't have an unlock code then you cannot proceed as honor stopped giving bootloader unlock codes so if you don't have your code keep trying the first method
You can use the firmware finder for PC or Android.
Download all 3 files of the firmware (ONLY FULL OTAs)
Then unlock the bootloader(if not done yet)
Flash a twrp for our device
Then download HuRupdater
Follow the guidelines: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
Long story short, you need to rename the three files to "update.zip" , "update_all_hw.zip" and "update_data_public.zip"
Then keep all three files and HuRupdater .zip in the same folder. Using TWRP flash the HurUpdater.zip file(not others)
After flashing is done relock the bootloader to recieve further OTA Updates.
Then you're all good to go.
Points to consider:
*Don't relock bootloader right after flashing. Boot up the phone and set it up. Check if everything is working and then only relock it.
*Keep recovery.img with the 3 files and HuRupdater.zip while flashing. Then after checking if everything is okay, flash the firmware again but this time delete the recovery.img
*Don't relock with TWRP installed because of possible risk of bricking.
So if you are familiar with the rooting procedures 2nd method might be good but you'll loose warranty.
I honestly recommend the 1st one as it has less risk involved.
But remember everything you do is at your own risk.
Anyways there is a thanks button below ?
Edit: hey I just noticed that you have an LLD-AL10 C675. So there's a new update B188. You can find it in firmware finder. It is approved and goes with your varient. Use the dns method. Refer above for details
Hello
I finally managed to update my Honor 9Lite
1 - You must remove all updates from EMUI
2 - Go in Huawei Firmware Finder find the right version for your Smartphone (I took a Fuul OTA 188. and check its compatibility
3 - Change your Internet Connection with Proxy Settings as requested by Firmware Finder
4 - Go to system settings and start checking for updates
An update will be found and it is good that you have selected in Firmware Finder.
5 - Start the update, when the download starts 1% pause it.
6 - Shut down the Wifi resume download with 4G.
7 - Once the download is done the update is done by itself do not interrupt it-
8 - The phone restarts and check that the update has gone well
For me everything went well
Thank you all for your advice :good::good::good:
Have a good day
Best regards
