Why do I keep getting this on my Nexus 6 (from Moto)? Anyone get random texts like this?

I got another one today, some of the numbers are different. This is weird. Should I just call and ask what the hell it is?
Check your voicemail.
It's a msg trying to configure Visual Voicemail on your device. If your device was supported, you wouldnt see that msg,
Thanks guys, looks like y'all are right!
If you haven't figured it out yet, edit your account on verizonwireless.com and take off basic visual voicemail. Repleace it with basic voicemail, or something of the sort. No VVM for us! You can use Google Voice for that though.

Thanks, I'm doing that right now. I used to have Google Voice work as my voicemail but that stopped when I got one of the updates on the LG G2 I think... or maybe it was just when I switched to the Nexus 6? Don't remember
Well, I went to manage my device on Verizon but only Verizon Cloud and HD Voice calling was active, no visual voicemail at all. Hmmm

Anyone notice that there is a IM (a process, not shown on applications) going on if you open the Advanced Taks Manager list, on a hero?
and the process name is just "IM" and from the look of the icon it is an instant messenger. Does anyone know if there is such an App? I can't find in when i open the apps library but it shows up as a process.
and does anyone know what is this?

Is this a instant updater for your google mail account? I didnt think I had push mail activated but when I get a new email in gmail I get an instant notification.

The Gmail built-in is Push Mail already, correct me if I am wrong.
Perhaps IM is incoming messages? I see IM and think instant message.
Failing that does taskiller not show whats running?

not really.
that IM process I see has the same icon as the google talk icon, like 2 conversational bubbles with one red and one blue.
I have a Moto X Developer version and I use Att prepaid.I don't have data plan. I bought Motox mainly for Touchless control.I know that if we want to ask any question like height of empire state building it needs to connect to internet and get the answers or to get directions u need to connect to internet but just for setting up reminders and making a quick note using a touchless feature it cant be done since by default it looks for internet connection
Any suggestion to accomplish this i.e say "Ok Google Now" and say "set up a reminder at 6pm to call brother" and it should setup a reminder with no data plan and no wifi turned on.
If it works like siri then it connects to the internet and uses the servers to recognize what you said.
Nope, sorry.

When the links were first published for 5.1, I flashed and installed the update through fast-boot and I am currently on 5.1 successfully. I have a t-mobile sim and I purchased this device from them. Today, they are pushing the 5.1 update which is the same as what I already have, but in addition, they are adding VolLTE. Now Im not sure if I already have that due to previously flashing it, or am I supposed to re-flash the T-Mobile variant of 5.1. Anyone have any input?
volte is voice over lte, making and receiving calls on lte. do you have volte?

when you make a phone call, does the phone stay on lte or does it change to H or 3G during the call?

Never-mind, I looked around and apparently the build number for the nexus 6 t mobile carrier is different (LMY47M). And Yes, its LTE. So i guess I just have to wait till the new factory images are posted to Google and then eventually side-load the update.
I have been trying out some custom ROMs on my HTC Desire 510. Voicemail notifications seem to no longer work. I am currently trying out RaptorRom 1.2. Anybody have any advice on getting the voicemail notifications working again? Thanks!
Me, too.
RaptorSense7 working great, both cameras also, only neg is no voicemail notification. Anybody have the stock voicemail apk?

I wish I could help you out. I'm on Boost Mobile, but I'm sure we both use the same Sprint visual voicemail. I deodexed and zipaligned the stock apk, dropped it in /system/priv-app and changed permissions. It opened up, but it did not recognize when I received a voicemail and when I open it, it says, "Please wait" "Verifying your account information, this may take a minute...", and it never verifies it. Hopefully LarryBoyG can direct you to a solution.
Yep, same here. I found Sprint_VVM_T.5.3.0.32.apk online for a different phone but tried it. Installed, opened, but never completed verifying acct and it doesn't receive vmail.
same here can anyone help with this ?
ROM - RaptorRomv2 /// kernel -- 3.4.0-Modded-Kernel-v2.61 /// HBOOT - Modified_3.19.0.0000 /// S-OFF /// trying to install Voicemail vt.6.0.1.22 apk

Having a quick, portable voice transcription system would be a great help at work.
I work in the medical field and frequently need to transcribe medical terms like drug names and procedures (e.g. Xarelto and pancreaticoduodenectomy).
The "online" google assistant recognizes almost all the terms I use with no difficulty. I worry that the "built-in" recorder / transcription app may not have as robust a vocabulary. Anyone use the new recorder app and have success with obscure words? Any way to add uncommon words?
