Im about to buy a s5 att. And my friend told me that the s5 has random reboots every 20 minutes or every hour. Sometimes they can be every 4hrs. We dont know exactly what can be. We are in mexico so theres no garanty. We need to go to the states and thats 14hrs away from here. the s5 isnt rooted or ever flashed. I wonder if i do root and clean flash a new rom could that issue be solved? Or need new s5

Never one problem at all maybe your friend is confusing the S5 for the S4 that model has had a bad problem with a "no sim card" error that's be well documented. I have both and my S4 has the error.
Oh mo its a s5.. could that be a hardwarr problem.. he told me that he already rooted and changed rom but still lots of reboots

I seriously have never heard of that happening on any S5 but anything can happen.
you sure its not a knockoff s5? either that or somethings wrong.. he should do a clean install using an odin tar for the device and see if the problem persists.. if hes selling super cheap then might be worth it to fix but ive never heard of that on any s5 lol

Some guy offered me his o2x for 160 euros!
5 months old, mint condition, guy needs money for a car and can't find a buyer for some time. Just need to wait till monday for him to send it to me, since carrier services don't work here over weekend. Also he says that he haven't expirienced shut off/reboot problems, and he didn't root the phone or changed rom, so I think its on froyo.
I have posted few questions in Q&A thread, but I will ask those here again for easier tracking.
Do skype video calls work on o2x?
Is it true that hdmi doesn't work on any custom roms?
Is there a way to flash latest official firmware if its not possible in my country with official update tools?
Phone is locked to one carrier, can I unlock it myself?

About unlock, in local phone services around here they do the unlocking for about 5-15 euros depending on the phone. Just thought maybe there is an easy way (better say free) to do it Never mind.
My phone should arrive on tuesday, maybe I will have more q's than.
Thanks a lot for now!
Just felt that I need to share this. Night before the phone was supposed to be send to me, seller calls me and tels me that phone just turned off while he was deleting user data on it and it won't turn on. In service shop they told him its the processor.
I got a bit sceptic about optimus 2x. Thing I'm gonna go with Galaxy S
I had UK 10h preinstalled on my device, after a soft brick UK 10h wouldn't download so I had to install Europe 10h. Since doing this my phone seems to last longer and feels faster with the same setup as before, just thought someone might find this interesting

most likely because you got rid of a bad app or reanabled something you had disabled or messed something up
or it just feels that way as i cant see why it would actualy last longer .

It was bad out of the box before I rooted or anything, also the keyboard was buggy, auto capitalizing between words and stuff and 3g network kept freezing. Maybe it was a bad flash from the factory or something, but I'm using it the same as before and getting better deep sleep and no more network bugs, its a mystery but I'm happy

I wonder how long it's going to take AT&T to release this update if it were to ever happen.

If we are lucky next year.
I hope these come soon. They should have released the original s6 edge with people edge, and apps edge.

I bought an n7000 when it was first out and haven't used it for about 2 years now ever since it once got into a bootloop(freaked out back then). I got my hands on the phone today and I had the battery taken out when I stopped using it. It wasn't switching on or charging. Do I have to replace the battery? What's wrong with my phone? Can't figure it out :/

New battery is a first step
so yesterday my phone got laggy and froze, since i dont have a power button i just popped the back off and disconnected battery. used a paper clip like 1000 times before to get it to start and it wont start. when my phone boots up it shows the cut the rope thing eating the apple then (boot img) it goes to the blue animated android thing and stays there until it dies. even tried to use recovery but it wont boot in to recovery, just stays on twrp loading screen (using twrp3.0.0-0) until it dies. also inspected the motherboard for damage around the power button since i was using a paper clip to start it and i see no issues.
nothing new has been installed/uninstalled. also nothing else has been edited/tampered with since i first rooted it. any help will be awesome!!
