Hello everyone,
I was wondering if there is any app, that isn't an Xposed module, that can control Notification Priority settings for given apps. Specfically, I'm looking for a way to control that forsaken Facebook Messenger app that ALWAYS puts messages at the top of notification drawer, which can get really annoying when even the ongoing music player notification is beneath it.
App Settings offers such a feature, but I'm trying to find alternatives to Xposed for reasons that I probably don't need to mention. This is one of the last things I need to replace before being pretty independant on Xposed.
Thanks guys.

Hi all z3c user,
I have a question about the icon on the notification bar. I have installed a newspaper app, if there are some news to alert me, it will pop up an icon and have a notification message in the notification panel.
If there are a first alert but I still not clear it, then if the second alert received, the icon in notification bar has only one, and the notification panel will have two messages until I clear it, then they will gone.
The problem is, the same app, installed other than SONY device, e.g. LG/Samsung, they will have one icon for one message, that means they will have 2 same icon when they received two alerts, but I found that SONY ROM will group the icon into one, so that I need to pull down the notification panel to see how many alert received.
Anyone know how to "ungroup" the icon? Thanks.
By the way, not only this app, some football score apps have the same problem.
no one have idea?
It's a SystemUI thing, meaning it's hardcoded. Sony made it this way, other vendors are doing it the other way. Some custom ROMs have the ability to toggle this behaviour, but on stock there's nothing to do. IMHO, grouping is better because it doesn't waste so much space on the notification bar for same types of notifications. If I get 1 email, I really don't mind knowing there's actually 5 at the first glance, but I'll see that immediately when I pull down the notification bar anyway.

Dear snipeeeerz,
From what I know, you can't at the central sounds control? But in whatsapp, you can change the notification so that there are no sound. Other apps, you have to check their app config our settings individually.
Some apps use media sound control (games, media players, chimes), some using system notification (messaging apps), some alarm (alarms and chimes), some ringer. So those are the general controls at the central setting - depending on which the apps used. From what I understood of what you want, you want only certain apps too ring/notify you. In that case, I think you'll have to check the settings from the apps.
Regards.
I am coming from iPhone to MI9 and I think the way notifications is show in the notification shade is not really usable.
I want the newest notification (group) to be on the top. So I don't have to search all notification shade for what app created the last notification.
Here a samsung S8 guy explaining it in details and with screeenshots:

I am on Stable Global MIUI 10, newest version.
Did anyone find a solution for this ?
My Xiaomi Mi9 does not have a sort notifications and also not the priority settings. The blackberry hub is also not really the perfect answer as I want to use the normal apps for my daily life.
I search and even tried a load of apps for notfication logs, new shade and so on. Nothing is really usable.
It can also be an app for replacing the shade.
I also really miss that I can interact with notifications on the lock screen
No one knows a solution ?
Or a MIUI alternative rom that allows this ? I want the MIUI camera app
The brief notification is where you get a small pop up at the top of your screen. How the hell do you disable this globally? Some apps like WhatsApp you can do from within the actual app's settings. Others you can turn off priority notifications.. But some apps don't have any valid setting. How can I disable this for all apps. Its such a useless feature for me. I just want the regular icon in the status bar and nothing popping up
they used to be called heads up notifications I think and yes I'd welcome a solution for this too.
I currently run my phone in 'do not disturb' mode 24/7 because I despise their intrusions.
Hello there, I would like to know if there is any chance to completely disable the indicators showing that Cam / Mic are used by application (the access dots that came with 'extra security' ), or just a way to white-list desired application, so it's not triggered.
I don't like getting those notifications because they are just annoying, if I wanted to know what application had access to those functions, I'd just check it in the settings. Thanks
I would guess they are secured so that malware cannot disable them in the background.
