Strangely I have same issue with Temesek 6.6 build and above theme themes everything but the quick setting panel and notifications on lock screen. Also for some reason I installed other themes but there are not visible I themes menu...
It's a known bug.
You can do either of the following.
1. Reboot (Minimus chances that this will fix it)
2. Clean install ROM (Maximus chances and known workaround)
A clean install should also fix "themes not being showed in the themes section" issue.

Works fine on euphoria rom.
I'm using the "Deep Darkness" theme and it themes the status bar and notification bar. The icons are actually pretty cool. look for it in the Play Store. Its for CM12
Here's the solution:
https://plus.google.com/+ManuelLabradorVianthi/posts/iCtCpEDTyEM
Just delete the ThemeConfig line using the SQLite editor. It's in /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
Reboot and re-apply the theme. Everything should work just fine.

Black theme for CRESPO JellyShot v5 Final is up!
So, some of you guys allready know that there is my black theme for JellyShot rom made by Articudos.
Now i got some time and decided to open a new thread for it.
Ofcourse, link to this thread will be in my signature and posted in roms thread, 3rd POST.
This is the LAST theme update for JellyShot ROM because that rom reached its final state. Time for Articudos and me completely retire from Nexus S!
This is NOT vr-theme, and its NOT theme chooser theme, this is flashable theme ONLY for JellyShot v5 Final for CRESPO devices, you can try on CRESPO 4G but i wouldnt recommend. Risk is on you.
It includes:
-themed (black) notification icon background in notification bar
-themed (blue on dark grey) progress bar
-quick settings toggles holo blue when pressed (optional)
-black popups, menus, toast messages - pure black, not like in rasbeanjelly
-black blackground for notifications (like when you receive sms, email, for IME switcher etc)
-black notification bar (without bottom ugly color)
-black quick toggles background
-blue loading circles
-blue mod (to remove gingerbread orange leftovers)
-old orange progress bar changed to blue
-make gradient background to be black
There are still few gingerbread images, but i wont bother to change them, you dont see them much.
NOTE:
*MAKE BACKUP, i am not responsible if your device bootloops or i dunno, smiles at your face..
*if you have some other mod installed, this will not work, it will force close and maybe make your device bootloop.
*if you want my theme and other mods to work together, try this: flash rom, reboot, flash my theme, reboot, flash other mod, reboot (thanks to androidphone2012)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Just flash over JellyShot v5 Final, no need to wipe anything, you can only fix permissions.
PRESS THANKS button if you like it.

Ofcourse, link to this thread will be in my signature and posted in rom thread, maybe in OP.
I am intending to update this theme according to major rom updates (for stable versions).
In future i will make vr-theme when i get time so it will be flashable on most aosp based roms,
you will be notified about that.

BTW:
I hit rating, it deserves 5 stars
Hi my xda'ler.
I just thought i share my carefully Holo.Light themed Applications from my daily Rom ---> OmniRom.
Why i did that?
Because having this ugly dark stock Settings.apk and this Dark DeskClock.apk offended my eyes and taste.
I tried just change some parts. So there shouldnt be Textcolorbugs. Atleast, i could not find some yet.
I tried to use color codes who fit the rest of the already light themed Android System (for example, Downloads, Contacts, Quickoffice)
The result will be a more harmonious Android KitKat / OmiRom experience
Code:
framework-res.apk
- no gradient Holo/Holo.Light background
- Holo.Dark background: #ff5d5d5d
- Holo.Light background: #ffededed
- changed ic_print.png & ic_print_error.png (necessary, because Settings.apk takes this .png for Settings menu
Settings.apk
- Holo.Light (this includes also Holo.Light Actionbar!!)
- dark photoshoped Settings Icons
DSPManager.apk
- Holo.Light (Holo.Light Actionbar included)
DeskClock.apk
- Light themed Clock (#ffededed)
- fitted icons (dark)
Code:
i also added [U]new notification sounds[/U] in the flashable.zip
- system/media
- [B][I]delete fromn the flashable.zip, if you not wanne have that!!!![/I][/B]
flashable.zip for recovery
if you wanne try out, do it at your own risk. i assume you know what you do!!! (having backups is good, whatever you do)
As we not yet have a theme engine, this is my way to have a more harmonious KitKat System.
I recommend using tintedstatusbar module/Xposed.
You also can grab a single app from the flashable.zip and replace on the right position in your system, whatever, do what you want....have fun!!!
you can think about light themes what you want, but without a doubt....its better readable under the sun

there you go:
themed applications of omni-4.4.2-20140524-mint-NIGHTLY.zip
added OmniTorch: holo light background (#ededed)
Omnirom_apps_holo_light_20140524-mint-NIGHTLY.zip - 33.04 MB
older versions:
Omnirom_apps_holo_light_20140521.zip - 32.98 MB
Code:
Omnirom_apps_holo_light_20140521.zip
---> themed apps from the following omnirom: [I]omni-4.4.2-20140519-mint-NIGHTLY.zip[/I]

sorry, i dont know what happen there, or what you did.
i flashed that zip on different nightlies of omnirom, and it works very well for me. if you use official omnirom 4.4.2 nightilies...whatever day, 18.05. or 20.05, it should work.maybe you use different custom rom?
alternetavely you can move apps manually to the right direction.
edit:
- tried it with newest nightly from 21.05.
- dirty flashed nightly, gapps, flashable.zip
- everything fine after reboot

the culprit is framework-res.apk

So as the title says. I'm working on a cm11 theme. I basically want to theme everything except for the "styles" itself because this is an addon theme to another theme. However, if I remove the "overlays" folder, the icons quit working. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong or is this a bug in the themeing app?
Thanks for any help!
[THEME] Black5 Theme for Nexus 6 - CleanROM & Stock-Root-LRX22C-5.0.1-Unencrypted-...
Hi,
here's another inverted theme for Nexus 6. I call it Black5. It's now tested on CleanROM-1.2.5 - CleanROM-1.4.0 and Stock-Root-LRX22C-5.0.1-Unencrypted-DeOdex-v2.
Basic idea is to have backgrounds etc in black with white and grey text. Blue highlights and accents here and there.
Work in progress and bugs, white text on white, still there but lets see. Please report your findings an also solutions here.
NOW THEMED:
- framework-res.apk
- SystemUI.apk
- Settings.apk
- GoogleDialer.apk
- GoogleContacts.apk
- PrebuiltBugle.apk / Messenger
- DeskClockGoogle.apk
- GoogleKeyboard.apk - New!
- DocumentsUI.apk - New!
Take it or leave it, neither one will cost you anything
LATEST DOWNLOAD:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/98ccl3p2mtbld6u/Black5_01022015.zip?dl=0
CHANGES SINCE LAST UPDATE:
- more detailed theming
- keyboard themed
- documents themed
- minor fixes here and there
- had to leave CatalysCM settings off
KNOWN BUGS:
- notification text/bacground color on lockscreen
- downloads FC's but list still accessible via recents (do not know how to fix, hints welcome), doesn't effect on overall functionality
- sound and notification icon colors untehmed in setting - yet to be found
- some 2nd and 3rd level settings unthemed, ie Settings->More->Cellular networks
INSTALLATION:
- update your apps
- important for Messenger to theme up: after update check that Google Messenger is at "\data\app\com.google.android.apps.messaging-1" there has to be "base.apk".
Update seems to put it in new location, even a new installation without existing Messenger it goes there.
- download the package, the zip-file from above
- boot into recovery
- backup your existing system
- wipe cache/Dalvik cache
- flash the downloaded theme package
- reboot
- works perfectly here after dozens of tests on clean ROM install and reflashes after that
EDIT:
- working here with clean install of CleanROM-1.2.5 - CleanROM-1.4.0 and Stock-Root-LRX22C-5.0.1-Unencrypted-DeOdex-v2.
- CatalysCM Settings.apk removed from the latest release.
- I've used "Stock-Root-LRX22C-5.0.1-Unencrypted.zip" found from the forums here.
- I accidentially released a theme with Settings.apk from the Nexus 5 CatalysmCM. Well, that happened and can't really pull it back but apologise and give all credit to the DEV.

Sweet ?
Going to try it now.
Edit : Works perfectly .
One request can u also make google keyboard in the same combo thanks great work.
I think you used some modded Settings.apk as it shows these Mods too
Really like how this looks. Would be awesome if you could make this for aosp roms like liquid smooth. I tried it but just bootlooped
A true black and white theme!!! Love it.
Great theme, however the battery icon is not themed properly, not showing the battery level, just stays solid white, anyone else?
Can't seem to get this to work on stock LRX22C 5.0.1 rooted. Every google app force closes and my nexus reboots. Any suggestions?
Battery
Appreciate your work you created a very elegant theme, but I am also having issues with battery percent otherwise it works great

@OP, you should tell people on what base you did your beautifull theme , it would avoid people having problem with it

Yes, you're absolutely right. I used the stock rom "Stock-Root-LRX22C-5.0.1-Unencrypted.zip" found from the forums here.
Also, as played around with several apk's I accidentially released a theme with Settings.apk from the Nexus 5 CatalysmCM.
Well, that happened and can't really pull it back but aplogise and give all credit to the DEV.
I've updated the OP with same info.
Continuing most likely on the coming weekend.

All the above works fine here with "Stock-Root-LRX22C-5.0.1-Unencrypted.zip" and "CleanROm-1.1.zip" found from the forums here.
Might be worth cleaning Dalvik Cache and Cache in the recovery.

MAKE YOUR OWN CM THEMES (CM12.x - CM13.x)
HOW TO

2. Now Install An App named "ThemeDIY" from playstore.
3. Open it and touch on the plus symbol whichyou can see at the bottom of the screen.
4.Now you can make your own CM theme by choosing what icons you want, Change your wallpaper, Change colour of status bar and notification panel etc.
5. After you create your customised theme you can save it and activate it in the themes menu in settings.
