Hi all,
My device's wifi stopped working yesterday. It was connected earlier but all of a sudden wifi turned off and afterwards it did not turn on. When i try to turn it on, it says "Turning on" and after a while turns off.
Here are my device's current details:
Android version : 4.1.2
Baseband version : I9070DXAMD1
Kernek version : 3.0.31-660490 [email protected] #2 SMP PREEMPT Tue Apr 9 17:02:21 KST 2013
Build number : JZO54K.I9070DXAMD1
Earlier it was running build JVBMD1 when wifi turned off.
Note 1 : I did not drop my phone, did not sink it or f****d it.
Note 2 : Bluetooth and GSM are working fine for me.

I got a software update notice when I powered up my AT&T version of the camera this morning, so I thought I'd be getting 4.1.2, but the update was only about 6MB in size, and while it did go through the reboot and run the android update screen cycle, it says I'm still running 4.1.1 and the camera app still doesn't have the remote viewfinder option, etc. I wonder what did get updated.
The status screen says:
Kernel version

Hi, sorry if there's already a topic about this specific issue, couldn't find any.
Now, as the title says, I'm having problem to connect on Wi-Fi network. I have a Galaxy S (GT-I9000B) running on CyanogenMod 10.0 (ICS 4.1.2) since 3 weeks.
Everything was fine when it started, 3 days ago. I can find the network but can't connect into it. It keeps looping on "Authenticating/Obtaining IP Adress".
Today morning I checked my phone and it was connected on Wi-Fi, so I thought the problem was solved, now it is not working anymore.
So far I tried: restarting; "forgetting" the wi-fi and connecting manually/by wps; wipe cache..
Anyone have an idea on how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance
Hi,
My samsung note (GT-7000) went hot in my pocket today. When I felt the heat and took it out of my pocket, it has restarted already and was asking me to input names and other settings; the kind of settings we need to go through when the phone is new. The home screen is also set to like the default.
Then I realized all my contacts, call logs, calendar info are no longer displayed! I didn't back up these data to my google account! SMS messages, photos are still there though.
Is there anyone can help to restore the lost data? Can explain why my Note auto-reboot and reset itself?
My current phone status shows:
Android version 4.1.2
Baseband version: N7000DXLS8
Kernel version: 3.0.31-906407 [email protected] #3 SMP PREEMPT Mon Mar 11 17:57:42 KST 2013
Build number JZO54K.N7000DXLSE
I cannot recall whether this is the same as the status before the auto-reboot/reset.
Thanks!
Please help. This is the second time in 4 months my HTC One is having problems with WiFi. Out of the blue, the WiFi shows "error" or "turning on", briefly identifies near by wifi networks, but essentially doesn't connect to a network. The WiFi logo keeps flashing in the settings section, the On/Off is greyed out. Bluetooth is also affected.
I have done umpteen number of reboots, cache wipes and factory resets with no luck.
The first time I had this problem 4 months ago, it resolved by fluke after repeated factory resets!
This time, it's been a problem for more than 3 days.
The details of the phone are as below:
Android version: 4.4.3
HTC Sense version 6.0
Software number 6.07.1540.1
HTC SDK API level 6.25
Kernel version
3.4.10-g77e9ea0

Baseband version 4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01L
Build number 6.07.1540.1 CL356475 release-keys
Your wise advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

PROBLEM:
My fingerprint suddenly stopped working without a fall, reboot or physical change.
When I try to scan, it doesn't display an error message. It's just plain as if there's no finger on the sensor
WHAT I'VE DONE:
I've cleaned the sensor dry, done a reboot, Powe off, removed battery and re-inserted, read a lot of articles relating to this issue, I've tested fingerprint sensor by dialing *#0*#, I've Cleared cache, reset to factory settings, deleted old finger prints, tried to register new ones in safe mode, I've flashed my marshmallow Rom using Odin, tried to flash the first KitKat Rom (ANIH) which failed, disabled gesture, drained battery to 0 and chrged to 100%, turned off for a few hours before turning on, Downgraded to KitKat and back to Marshmallow
WHAT I'VE NOTICED:
1. My backup password works
2.Home button works well, but when trying to register fingerprint, the home button doesn't work. I leave that page by minimizing or by using the return button.
3. The fingerprint sensor details are intact. When I check using *#0*#, it shows Version : 4.6.523.0 FwVersion : 04.53.00.0096
Flex Id : 68A
ProductId : 33
4. It shows PASS on all tests when I run the fingerprint test (Normal Scan) without touching the home button when the test is conducted, but it shows fail on some and pass on the other result rows when I tap or swipe up, swipe down,... on the home button.
Pls guys, I'm in need of your help. I'm confused.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Have you tried a custom kernel?
