ok, maybe I overstated saying that phone overheats (now I can't change thread title) but the thing is, if I use my phone normally, like anyone would, battery life is just fine, nothing impressive, but no big deal, but if I switch to my second user profile (i don't need to do anything there, just log on, and log back to main profile again), then the task with the name of my other user will be the most battery consuming thing currently active. let me post a screenshot:

}
alright, perhaps it makes sense, since it's a whole different set of tasks and services active on background, but thing is, once I make this user active, I can't switch it off unless I reboot my phone. is there a way to kill the second user?
any comments on this?
I think is related to the lollipop problem with "radio active" apps. Sometimes it happens to me randomly
i dont htink so, its not random at all

Hi,
I have a "little" problem which is very annoying...the volum bar goes up and down by itself, and this happens very often.

Typing a message (or doing anything else on the phone) takes a very long time because it keeps popping up all the time. I upgraded the ROM, but that didn't work either....it seems to use a lot of battery when this happens too Battery can be dead after a day or less...and that's when I haven't even used it at all.
I have no idea why this started to happen...I hadn't done any changes on the phone before that. It doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the volume buttons on the side either so it must be a software problem.
Any tips are greatly appreciated
I believe we have the same issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4081584#post4081584
This started happening yesterday for me.
yeah we have the same bug :/ atleast it's nice to see that I'm not the only one with this problem...hopefully someone will come up with a solution to fix this problem....It's driving me crazy
This happened to me after the phone got a little wet. It disappeared after a few days tho.
any chance its the auto change volume of the apointments calander
that mute the sound when u are in a meeting ?
Ok This idea came to me earlier today, sense 2.1 roms (Speedy ports) have a recently used apps bar in the notifications menu. Well I found a better use for it,
Instead of seeing the app you just closed why not display common everyday apps? e.g. phone, flashlight, facebook, twitter, camera. See that way you don't have to run around your UI to find what you want, It's simply a drag and drop away

The con is this.
Making the apks run in a list and then closing (background) constantly may effect you wanting to see your recently used apps (The one where you just long press home button and it displays) those apps the first 4 or so will be which ever default you have set up. any way I'm seeking some help with this I'm not new but nor am I marinated in sense feature modifying.
Any one interested?
also My current method an apk that opens and closes each app seems to cause issues (obviously) so I'm seeking help in doing the proper system edit to get this Modification up and running.
Original thread
I started noticing extreme battery drain around the time I began fooling around with the lollipop rom builds that began popping up in the forums last month, so I started trying to look into it. This is what I found: (this isn't a good example because of a short timeframe, but at times it's been up to 30k wakelocks over 6 hours)

I've tried searching Google and of the 2 posts that even come close, I can't make sense of it.
My phone is currently disconnected and has been for some time, so I can't tell if it's searching for service, even though I keep it in airplane mode, with Wi-Fi on only when I need it, turned off background data, even froze the phone app. Still no luck. Same thing when I switched back to cm11.
Is there anyone or there who knows what this is about and what I can do about it?
***ANY and ALL info is GREATLY appreciated***

If you flash the stock 4.4.4 firmware for your device with fastboot/mfastboot it will likely be fixed.
Why you're getting this.... I don't know. Can't find anything on it either.
So I'm at a loss with this one.
For some reason, since getting my OnePlus 3T, I've had this issue where the text field in WhatsApp when sending media is obscured by the keyboard.
Every other device I've used has moved the text box to above the keyboard, but this one doesn't for some reason.
Does anyone know why this is happening? More importantly, does anyone know how to fix it?
I have tried different keyboards, different orientations, reinstalling keyboards... pretty much everything outside of a complete reset of the phone. I can't see what I'm typing when this happens and it's impossible to correct a mistake because even tapping the mistake puts the caret to the end of the text, and you can either delete it all and start again, or try to edit the mistake blind.

Is very different on my device ?
Sorry for such a late reply but, were you able to solve this? I'm having the exact same problem on my Zenfone 2 and i've tried everything you said to no success, the problem also happens when i try to send a DM through stories on Instagram.
Hello everyone,
So I've got an XZ1 Compact with Android 8.0 (build 47.1.A.16.20), and the only thing which I can't fix and is very annoying is that, no matter what I do, Gmail notifications almost always come delayed.
Gmail is in power-saving exceptions:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Also it has unrestricted data usage:
Also I even disabled Stamina whatsoever.
Still, it often happens that notifications aren't delivered, and then I hit the power button, phone wakes up, and after a few seconds throws a lot of notifications, for all those emails which were sent since the last time I woken it up.
The problem is the same independently of whether I'm on mobile network on wifi.
It's only Gmail; other apps (like Viber, Telegram, etc, don't have those problems, they sync perfectly well).
Any chance it could be fixed? Is there anything else I could do, besides adding Gmail to power-saving exceptions and giving it unrestricted data usage? Anyone else has this problem?
Thanks!
Ok it looks like finally there is a solution: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/guide-notification-fix-100-t3865551
