[Q] Froyo in wildfire- Its official

Finally froyo is being rolled out to wildfire this week in europe first.
So if is it possible to get the official update in our phones without losing superuser
privilege? Any developer pls consider this issue and post the official update....
Official update is in HTC facebook.

You say that like it's a bad thing. It's not. Its good.

Hmmm I have downloaded the new update and tried it twice. It was running for an hour so I pressed the power button and then says unable to initiate... I am doing something wrong or is there something else I need to do. I have had a different rom on this phone but reset phone to vodafone standard... Hopefully someone will be able to reply with me being blasted of the site for being a newbie who can not read. However, I have searched long and hard for an answer to this and have yet to find one!

I don't understand...your phone doesn't boot?

Update to Mango final. Error: 8007001F

Hi,
I have an Omnia 7 that used to run the official dev beta 2 on it. So, when I plugged it into Zune it prompted me to update to the new official release.
Step 1-9 (incl installing updates) went OK.
Then it restarts the phone and has 2 new steps (1-2), here however, I always get error: 8007001F.
I cant find any good explanation on Microsoft site either. I removed all IE, Maps and Search history, nothing.
Ideas??

I hava the same error with my omnia 7 and was running the dev b2 too.
I tried hard reset, downgrade to nodo, changing computer, ... the error is still here ;( No idea ?

Need the touchscreen firmware

Hi guys. Fist of all, sorry for my bad english.
I bricked my phone's touchscreen, with update firmware in the *#*#2663#*#* and its wrote 'update failed' . My bad, dont do this. Dou you know any solutions? I tried factory reset, flashing roms ( froyo and gongerbread too), but nothing helped. The touchscreen stopped responding. But i think, if i can reflash the touchscreen firmware, it will working. It is possible flash the touchscreen firmware from sd card? Actually where are the files of the driver in the file system?

Can we explain, what happened actually when click on update on the tsp firmware screen? Which application/ script started? I thinks, the touchscreen files are in the tsp ic, which is separated from the flash, so just flashin a new rom dont write data to the tsp ic. But the files must be in the rom too, because some people did the update without problem, and the firmware version is changed, and the touchscreen works better then before. Do you have some ideas? If you have root acces, please browse the system folder, i thinks there is somewhere a "tspupdate" or similar named shell script/application what i need. But dont run it, it can brick your touchscreen too!!!

Yeah! How did you solve it? I currently have the same problem on my Bell's Vibrant. I also tried reflashing my Gingerbreak and factory reset without any success.
You don't know what you got til it's gone! Back button is really useful!

THIS MAY MAKE THINGS WORSE, BUT SOME DO NOT CARE. DRAGONS AHEAD....
Either way hoarding knowledge is a big peev of mine. I have read about this issue from as many google'able places as possible. I started reading after I went thru the release notes from some of the sX series. I notices that some carriers listed ghost/glove tsp firmware update/support. I also noted as the original poster did, that the files are in the rom. I would guess look thru all the updates your carrier made available and download the specific whole rom update and factory restore / apply it. Should this not work look thru the system folder for the file. When you have it copy it to your sd card where the tsp update screen tells you to put it. Try running the update again.
If this works please confirm this.
I think possible looking in system folder I recall a firmware folder possibly inside lib or modules somewhere.
I read that tsp modes are controlled from, so logically the files should be nearby.
/sys/class/sec/tsp
or depending on phone/model
/proc/touchpanel
I will keep an eye here, I am busy with some debricking and roms in general.

Rooted one plus 3t with corrupted recovery stuck on bootloader

Hello everyone. First of all, sorry for the long post.
I just bought a OnePlus 3t three days back. Updated it to oxygen 4.1.3 and then rooted it as well. Everything was working fine. But then I decided to downgrade to 3.5.4 since I wanted to try out Xposed Framework. So I downloaded the OS from OP Support website, and went to twrp recovery and installed the os 3.5.4 from the internal memory of the phone. It seemed to install properly but when I rebooted the phone, it started asking for a password. I tried every possible combinations of my passwords but to no avail. I saw online and found some video where I was supposed to flash a new recovery which I did. After that the phone got stuck in Bootloader. There is no bootloader and recovery version detail available on this screen.
If I try to restart the phone it gives me the following error, "Decryption Unsuccessful - Your phone storage has been damaged, unable to read data stored in your phone! To continue to use the phone, you need to reset the phone." There's a button at the bottom of the screen to Reset Phone. When I click that the phone goes back to bootloader mode.
Please help me out here. I have no clue what to do right now. I have tried flashing several recoveries but they give an error "cannot determine the image filename for abcd.img"
Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks in anticipation.

Thank you for the reply. I haven't yet tried it, since the computer recognises the phone just fine. It even shows up in the fastboot devices list in cmd. Maybe, I should give it a go.

Ok so I did manage to reinstall twrp. But I have no idea what to do next. Any suggestions ?

I managed to fix it. After the twrp recovery was installed, it started asking me for a password. Which I tried and didn't work. But then I just wiped the phone and it went back to factory settings somehow.
Now the phone is back to oxygen 3.5.4 and works fine.
Hope this can be helpful to someone else.

I'm on 3.5.4 but I may want to try latest versions and come back to 3.5.4

[HELP] (SOLVED)Problom Regarding Updation of J7PRIME

Hi all. I never posted anything here. This is my new post. I don't know whether I can post here or not. Please allow me to post here the moderator.
I'm doing this because I don't have another way. :crying:
The problem is I tried to revert back to stock android, first time I got Odin flashing error. So I searched and found a solution. So In that way I done. But it shows "use emergency recovery mode in smartswitch" so I tried that also. But in smartswitch the firmware is not showing.:crying: It says check the S/N and Model No. I tried so many times.
At last I found a way that, when I face the error I flashed stock recovery and reset the phone and it turned on. I was very happy. But in other side it shows as On NXT. IDK what to do. And device status still Custom, although I've done it through Odin. :crying::crying::crying:
This is the main problom that I'm facing. If it familier to anyone of you, please help me. I'm in this problom since 3 weeks. If anyone can help me it will be really great for me.
Bcz of that I flashed a custom rom. Now I'm on it.
IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME PLEASE REPLY.

Thanks for your response brother. Now atlast I done by wiping everything and flashed stock and it solved. now I got official and same model version. :good:
