Low In-Call Volume - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought my note 4 about a month ago and stupid me I didnt test the phone before putting cfw on it.
I noticed after flashing firekat that the in-call volume was low.
I restored the phone using cwm nandroid recovery tool, and the volume was still low.
Right now I am using Infamous Rom and having the same issue.
I suspect it may be a hardware issue, but the ear speaker still has volume, it just doesnt get loud.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the note 4 section.

Search Volume mod in the general section. There's a download able file and manual instructions on getting the volume up there.

[Q] Speakerphone/Earpiece Quiet after CWM

HI All,
I've noticed for some time now that before I flash a new ROM, when I go back to stock JF6 the audio in the boot up screen will blow your doors off. After flashing CWM, the audio is there but it is must less pronounced. I've also noticed that while using the speakerphone or the earpiece during regular calls, I struggle to hear the caller on the other end. It's fine before I flash CWM.
Anyone run into this before and if so, what can be done about it?
Thanks in advance!
Dan
I too have been wondering about the volume. I thought it was the rom I was running. I'm currently on phoenix 4.5 with firebird 2 v0.7 kernel. It seems like my volume is lower when I call another cell but fine if I call a land line.

Fix for Low Ear Peice abd Speaker Volume
I am not a programmer but I was wondering with all the talent on this site why is it impossible to have a fix for the terrible in-call volume the Captivate has. I have tried the settings in the service menus, but havent seen anything worth while.
Non of those settings stay past a reboot anyway.
The phones hardware is able to output the louder sound, I dont understand why we cant fix the low in-call volume on the earpeice and the speaker phone?
HELP!!!!!!

Thread merged with a similar one. I think the poster above U is asking a question (interrogative icon) and not stating he is posting a fix.
Cheers,
I noticed that it's CWM that is killing the audio (for me at least) before I flash a new ROM.

[Q] Low volume CM10

2 days ago I switched from another custom rom (forgot the name..) to CM10 (Fresh install).
I used the most recent version back then (24th September).
But I've got some audio problems, the volume is way too low.
I used volume+ to boost it a bit, but it barely helps, because it distorts the clear sound.
I haven't had any volume problem on any other rom.
Anyone that can help me out?
Yup compared to the volume quality of cm9 that is almost like an iPod. Do not use any equalizer it only damages phone speaker and your headset.

Nexus 7 volume solved in CM10?

Just landed here tired of the low volume of my Nexus 7. It sucks. With the original software one could install apps that increased the volume (Volume+ etc.). After updating to 4.2.1, these apps don't work anymore (Is Google caring about my hearing habits and becoming more like Apple?). The thing is that for the use I give to my, otherwise lovely, Nexus 7 I need a higher volume !!!
My question is does anyone know here if rooting the device and installing CM10 will allow the old apps (Volume +, Volume booster) to be effective again into boosting the volume of the device?
Thanks
Valentin

Note 3 speaker volume

I trying to figure out if the issue I am having with the volume on my external speaker is a note 3 thing or my handset. On my S4 I had significantly more volume. I'm not even talking about speaker quality just volume. On my S4 I could use the navigation with the radio on and have no problem hearing it, with the note 3 I have trouble hearing the navigation with the radio off and just driving on the highway. I also have issue hearing speakerphone. Maximum volume is 15 anything below 9 I almost can't hear at all.
Yeah the speaker quality is not good at all. I'm quite sure it was better on my Note 2.
Funny. I had the exact same problem on my S4 but not on my note 3.

[Q] Speaker is incredibly quiet, any fix?

I noticed the very low speaker volume since the first day I got it, the speaker volume is so low that I can only hear it on the maximum volume. This cannot be right. The latest upgrade (2A1.136) made the volume even lower.
Is there a software fix ?

read the forums, there is a fix in the development sections. flashable zip.
I've encountered this error too. I'm using musixmatch, in musixmatch the volume is so low. After try with Walkman app, the volume is getting louder. Back to musixmatch, the volume is fix now. I think there is a relation between Walkman and Sound. IDK. Just try, perhaps it's woks for you.

Coming from the HTC One i noticed that the audio wasn't great, but a few mods in and it's acceptable, still nowhere near as good as the HTC but definitely better.
