I created a smart watch app the displays the upcoming public transit departure times for Philadelphia. I want to bring the app to other watches and other cities so I created kickstarter campaign:
kickstarter (dot) com/projects/1527306840/smartwatch-transit-app
Here is a description of the campaign:
With the burst of interest in wearable technology and the craze over the upcoming release of the Apple Watch, smartwatches have taken the country by storm. With so many features and opportunities for app development, we centered in on one question: What information could be vitally useful while you're on the move, but accessible with no input and just a glance? Transit times.
With that we set out to build the simplest, easiest, and most useful transit app for the Pebble watch. We just released the first version of the app which supports the subway and commuter regional rail lines (in realtime including delays) of the beautiful city of Philadelphia: Philly Transit. We already love the app so much we decided to take it one step further.
Why would we keep our app private in Philadelphia and only on one device when we can share it with the rest of you? By adding more cities and expanding to other platforms, we envision our app to be used by commuters around the world every single day. Help us make this dream a reality, and please, stop running for the next train!
While we plan to eventually add support for most cities worldwide, we are anticipating a launch in time for the release of the Apple Watch with support for these cities:
New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Bay Area, Washington DC, Boston, Seattle, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Munich, Frankfurt, London, and Madrid
If your city isn't listed here, don't fret! By early summer 2015 we expect to support over 20 cities in the United States alone.

My latest development project has finally reached the point of no return. Global Military Ranks has now been published to the Android Market and is ready for your enjoyment.
Browse ranks from numerous countries around the world with more being added. Currently featuring the US, UK, Germany, Spain, Norway, Finland, The Netherlands and Russia with more than 14 additional countries being implemented depending on demand. Each rank is labeled with its corresponding NATO rank code or other equivalent. All branches and ranks have their associated insignias as well.
Test your knowledge with the quiz mode and see how many points you can get. Hidden easter eggs await those who master memorizing the ranks!
Read up more on the appsite and be sure to check it out on the Android Market as well.
Not to sound like a ****...but why exactly would i buy this app when I can go to wikipedia and get the same information?
The quiz mode for example? An ad supported free version is coming though
Hey everyone,
I just put up All-Star Food Finder in the Windows Phone Marketplace. It's one of my first apps. Check it out and let me know what you think. Here's the details:
Do you drool when you watch Guy Fieri stuff his face with delicious foods at a diner 100 miles away? Do you get pumped when you watch a Man v. Food eating challenge and say 'I can do that!' ?
All-Star Food Finder helps you find the restaurants featured on popular TV shows like Man v. Food, No Reservations, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and more!
Search by state, search by name or just discover what's near you using your GPS location and you'll get to try all of the food goodness you've seen on TV.
All-Star Food Finder ties in real Yelp reviews so you'll know if a restaurant is really worth your while to try.
You can also save restaurants as Live Tiles to your home screen for fast and handy access.
When you buy All-Star Food Finder, you can save restaurants to your own I've Been Here List and your personal Wish List. In addition, the paid version is ad-free.
Looking or comments, suggestions or just any feedback in general. Thanks!

Hey,
Just found this in the US store but notice it's not in any other marketplaces...
I know the app is full of US restaurants but I'm doing a three week roadtrip round the USA in the summer and something like this would be awesome to have.
Could you consider publishing it to other marketplaces (UK at least please!) so that I can buy a copy?
Ta
Thanks for an informative post. This restaurant app is good and user friendly, I love to use this app whenever I go for outing.

The image contains the previous "Pest Control" artwork, as well as a previously-unseen illustration of a thug with a baseball bat and an angry-looking dog on a chain.A day later, it was reported that a branch of the British videogame retailer Game in Brighton published a similar picture of GTA V artwork on Twitter, again showing a spring 2013 release date. The promotional material shows off a new set of artwork for the game, including a female police officer, arresting a blonde woman, and a gun-toting man (later revealed to be Trevor) on a quad bike.Later that day, Rockstar announced that GTA V will be released sometime during Q2 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and that pre-orders would begin on 5 November 2012.On 1 November 2012, a user on the GTAForums spotted an apparent piece of pre-order artwork for the game in a Walmart store in Toronto. Hi all,
Firstly, I would like to state that I am new here and not a techie.
I offer a unique career opportunity. I am here to facilitate and identify top talent who may be interested in working in the warm and hospitable climate that is Thailand, for a global internet based company.
In short I am a recruiter looking to fill technical positions within mobile application development for my client who operates a global online booking platform.
I have read the rules of engagement and I do not believe I am in breach with this post - I am not selling anything. I earn a pre-agreed fee upon successful placement with my client; which is well earned for plunging the depths and identifying the best talent and coordinating them through the entire recruitment lifecycle; and this has no impact whatsoever on your potential earnings. My involvement will cease once you start with the client and become an employee.
This is a permanent position in Bangkok and the client offers a full visa and relocation package. Thailand is an ASEAN top 10 nation offering an excellent quality of life, warm hospitality and a sunny climate. How would you like to do the job you love in this environment?
My client is looking for someone with strong mobile application development skills and experience releasing applications on mobile app stores. You will take ownership of your work from analysis, design, implementation and testing, all the way to going live and monitoring the results afterward and evaluate innovative applications and present new ideas for improvement.
The client is a profitable business with the atmosphere of a start-up and is one of the largest and fasting growing online platforms in Asia. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced Scrum developers and have a high degree of autonomy. Technology and innovation are at the heart of everything the client does and you will have the chance to work with cutting edge technology to extend the lead on the competition and your work will have an impact on what the client does around the globe; with a short command structure and the capital to make things happen, your ideas will be put into practise quickly.
This opportunity would suit young professional with a sense of adventure and around 5 years experience.

1989 was a year of upheavals. One of them took place in the mind of Tim Berners-Lee. The physicist at the world's best-known research center, CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, was disturbed by the notorious information chaos between the various institutes and the numerous working and project groups. As a solution, he came up with the idea of a digital information network through which scientists could exchange information. The then 34-year-old scientist wrote down the concept in short form. "Vague but exciting," his boss commented on the memo. Too vague, apparently. For the time being, nothing happened.
But Berners-Lee continued to think, and the individual components of the World Wide Web were formed: so-called URLs for Web addresses, HTML to describe Web pages, i.e. to be able to program them. The technical protocol HTTP for links had to work and finally a recipe for a web browser had to be created. Exactly 30 years ago, the world public was able to see the result: On April 30, 1993, CERN researchers launched the World Wide Web. Technologically little changed until today, this was the beginning of the triumphant advance of the Internet.
