absolutely. if youre on a aosp based rom, you can even try a dirty flaah(not wiping anything. but make a backup in recovery first, just in case. if your on a stock or cm based rom, you will have wipe data(factory reset) first
edit.. just read, youre on stock. so, in recovery before you flash this rom(+gapps, +supersu), you will have to wipe data(factory reset)(nothing else) first. dont wipe whats in your storage!
You could also try this

Sinless is a stock based ROM with the mods your looking for. I've used it since day one. I'm not really asop guy since there tends to be bugs. But to each their own.
Chroma rom. Contains what you need, nothing more and nothing less. Lightweight and stable.

Psssh, that's not what I wanted to hear I want people to come back even if there aren't any bugs. Sensor_ind is on the kernel level, try Franco's test kernel. I also updated modified to r14.1 which stops sensor_ind (using Imoseyon's patches)

Currently using the 3/1 CM 11 build, and since it's not really being updated and there were so many issues with it, i'm trying to see if it's possible to get a completely AOSP very stable build on the G2. I'm talking google boot animation and the whole 9. Any suggestions would be nice. Kinda getting annoyed with random reboots, especially while i'm on the phone, along with the screen coming on during phone calls. Thanks in advance!

I'm not aware of any that are going to be completely AOSP with no tweaks. C-ROM, CarbonROM, and Mahdi, come to mind for light-weight AOSP, but even they have built-in tweaks.

vanir is good
You can try JackpotClavin's CM11 builds for the 24A OTA release. I haven't had a single crash since I switched to his build.
Vanir is beyond stable, and is 4.4.3.

You need to stop using AOSP roms built on the JB source if you want to get away from the SOD's. Update your bootstack following the steps in JackPotClavin's CM11 based on 24A thread and you're free to install any of the AOSP roms built on top of 24A.

But if you want my opinion it's stock rom.
Rapture rom for me
Stock, though not a rom, is the most stable.
Stability depends on the user phone as well as what the user does with it. Rapture works great on my phone but I have seen complaints of instability. Firekat also work great on my phone, as well as dynamic and all the ports. Yet, I have seen complaints of instability. Now the AOSP based roms are truly unstable because they are in the testing, beta phase considering they are not a native build for our Touchwiz based samsung device. Not every device is made the same so flash and see which loves your phone the best.
Hope that helps.

Fire Kat V8 for sure.

I see in the fire Kat OP It seems to be a little confusing as to how to install. Is there a base ROM that flashes before V8?
Mega recommends a clean flash.
Basically just wiping cache, Dalvick, and data in the team win recovery.
But you can flash firekat over anj or ank.
I finally flashed the whole ank update. Bootloader and all.
That's what I flashed firekat v8 on top of:
The additional tweaks in the op2 are tight, and increase battery life a lot, but installing firekat is just like installing any other rom.

They are all stable for the people using them. Some minor bugs might be there, but might not be noticed by others. So by asking this you will get a list of all the popular ROMs. You need to make a backup, read the development threads to find one that has all the features YOU want and try it. If you find a bug, search that thread to see if a fix or workaraound was posted. You will find much more self satisfaction and knowledge in this path of discovery.

Just to give you an update, I just removed AOKP because whenever I try to make a call through a Bluetooth device (like my car's hands free system), it completely messes up the phone and eventually force reboots. These roms are based on early versions of CM14.1 (we don't even have official CM14.1 builds yet) so some bugs are to be expected, but they're all being updated very regularly so I expect that they will be virtually bug free in a no time. Just keep trying them until you find one that works for you.

Also @calsurferpunk just re-synced his "unofficial" CM14 to RR's builds to hope to get that stability. Previously he was uing crDroids database (or whatever). His unofficial CM14 builds are a hybrid of more bare bones CM and everything-including-the-kitchen sink tweaks of custom ROMs. His builds have the more popular tweaks, like being able to download Moto apps and a couple more, but are not change-everything ROMs.

When using certain apps like the you tube app or waze the screen glitches out into like 4 different boxes and the only fix so far is to switch off my screen and switch it back on. I want to know if it is due to a faulty part on my phone or if it is because of the kernel's i flash onto the phone

Old hat, this glitch is. There are equal chances that it is either software or hardware related. The right kernel may solve this, as well as making sure to use the default DPI (560). If it's hardware related, you'll be looking to RMA the device.
Can't RMA it since I bought it of of swappa but I'll probably just try flashing a different ROM without flashing a custom kernel
This comes up in the ElementalX kernel thread every so often. Recommend work around is to use Interactive governor.

I had this problem and the only two kernels that every resolved this were Flash kernel and LeanKernel (which is no longer supported and has not been updated in ages) Somewhere here in XDA for my nexus 6 I posted a photo of the same problem, it typically have happened after playing youtube videos.
I stopped using Elemental X as I have this problem with it every time, I know there is the interactive governor to resolve it but I just went to LeanKernel and then to Flash kernel. Problem solved.

It definitely has to do with the kernel, every time I flash elemental x kernel, the split screen occurs, other kernels, no problem, using flash right now and it's great. It's never the rom causing the problem,

Actually it is a combo of the two. People seem to think that any kernel will work with any rom. This is not the case. Each room team codes their kernel to work with the rom so other kernels may not work.

That's true, but I haven't heard of any specific rom for elemental x. Not bashing elemental x, it was my preferred kernel for my nexus 5. I am thinking it depends on the date your specific nexus 6 was built, some aren't affected, while some are . They were shipped with different eMMC and ram

True. This is why I only use the kernel that comes with the rom I am using. This way I know they are coded to work together.
Please excuse my bumping an old thread.
I recently decrypted my Nexus 6 and the problem completely stopped. The Interactive Governor solution only decreased the frequency of the occurences.

I don't know why included gapps and su is a big pro. You only need to flash it once as it survives updates.
Personally I don't think there is something like 'the best ROM' as everybody has different needs or preferences.
Also I am not the right person to recommend a ROM as I am highly biased as LineageOS maintainer.
But if you look at the other ROM's shamu sources you'll see where the real development was done

For those familiar with Velocity Rom this is the kernel I build for it. Velocity hasnt been on XDA as a rule so Im sure not many are familiar. Velocity is my personal Rom Ive been building for years and have shared with all that are interested. This isnt and will never be an "official development project" but will always exist as long as I continue to develop Android roms.
Velocity is focused on speed, stability, and efficiency and not on adding every imaginable feature. As this is my personal Rom it will have everything I deem useful to me and/or that doesnt compromise the goals of the project.
I dont add every conceivable governor, I/O scheduler, or other user tweakable options. In fact, I typically remove all the options and keep the best. This is designed as a plug and play kernel, not something to be changed. Its also not designed for other Roms.
Please do not ask for features, ETA's, or related. Again, this is my personal kernel for my personal Rom and will be shared accordingly. That said, I do encourage healthy, friendly dialog in my threads.
Flashing instructions
1) Reboot to bootloader
2) Fastboot boot 'bootimage_name'.img to make sure it boots with no issues
3) Reboot to bootloader again
4) Fastboot flash boot 'bootimage_name'.img
5) Buckle up for safety - optional of course

It's great to see another person building for our device. Not that the others aren't doing great work, but the more the merrier.
Once Q source drops, the real fun will begin. I can see potential for crazy speed and battery life over 10 hrs SOT on Q. Im coming from Shamu (Nexus 6) so this is quite a change in use and development. I think Im getting a good handle on what makes it tick though.

Not surprising. This is why I stated it works on stock but no idea on custom ROMs. I can cook a boot image if you want to try that, but that would also be based on stock.
Boot image is up in the same folder if you want to try that, but this really is designed to run on either my Rom or stock. Once velocity is out I won't be building stand alone kernels.
