Xperia V won't go into recovery - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hey there. I'm having a bit of an issue regarding the recovery on my phone. I rooted it quite some time ago but now I'd like to upgrade it to Kitkat 4.4.4 but when I try to enter recovery mode, it just boots normally. I have installed ROM Manager some time ago and I believe I may have changed my recovery, but it was either CWM or TWRP so there's nothing else. I tried using the "Boot into recovery" option but the phone won't go into recovery. I tried many different combinations upon boot but none have worked. Can someone help me, I'm running 4.3 9.2.A.1.210. I have USB Debugging enabled.
Cheers.

Most (or even all) of the custom roms have built-in recovery. So, if you want to flash some custom rom, you extract the "boot.img" from the zip and flash it via FlashTool using fastboot mode (to put Xperia V into fastboot mode hold volume up button while connecting the phone to tbe pc and the led should turn blue. If it turns green then try holding the other volume button.). And then you just select the lightning icon in FlashTool, choose fastboot mode, on the right side in the middle is an option to flash kernel and just find the boot.img you extracted and select it. Keep in mind that your bootloader must be UNLOCKED and you must install fastboot drivers before doing this.
Btw...your phone will stay in the fastboot mode only for a couple of seconds so you have to be quick...I always find the boot.img first, then put my phone into fastboot mode and then just select the image to flash it.

[Q] Impossible to enter recovery mode

Hi, i've got a rooted xperia T, with unlocked bootloader and clockworkmod recovery installed.
The recovery was working great, but since a few days, i can't enter in recovery mode anymore... every time i try, either the phone starts normally (SONY screen, then XPERIA animation) or there is a white triangle for a few seconds, and then the phone starts normally...
I tried to reinstall it :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1918966
But when i want to flash the recovery.img, nothing happens, "waiting for device"...
How can i solve this?
Thanks !

what rom are you on?
If it is a stock based rom then flash doomkernel via fastboot
Extract the kernel.elf from the .zip, put it in fastboot folder and enter the code fastboot flash boot kernel.elf
Or just flash the kernel.elf via flashtool in fastboot mode if you are not familiar with cmd.
Then try to enter recovery again by pressing volume up.
Let us know what happens after that
Solved, thanks!

Xperia ZR Bootloop

Guys, if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Ok, here's my situation I tried to root my phone using kingroot but it keeps randomly rebooting. So, I've read somewhere that you can change kinguser to supersu by using supersu me. That's what I did now what happened is after installing and rebooting my phone is now in bootloop. So tried reflashing using flashtool but everytime it says that usb debugging must be on and there's no way for me to do that. Is there anyway for me to recover my phone and fix it? Hope you guys can help me.
P.S. Sorry if this is not the right place to post this. Thanks.

Have you installed Sony drivers before using FlashTool?
Only flashtool can recover you from this situation and remember to press up or down button and then connect the USB cable. Then only it will boot into flashmode

I've just had a similar experience using kingroot on stock lollipop.. It's a horrible app and of no use really.. This is how i got out of it and rooted my phone properly: download a .ftf stock rom for your region, search in the cross device section for perfcreator, fastboot tool and look in xenius9's thread for a boot.img (recovery, doesn't matter if it's a CM12 img or not for now) and finally a flashable zip supersu and NUT's dual recovery INSTALLER (important this) for ZR..
Place the boot.img in the folder you extracted the fastboot tool to, open perfcreator and point it to your stock ftf firmware and to your supersu zip.. press create and this will make a proper rooted flashable zip firmware, which you place in your SD-card on your phone.. (I used my friends phone to place the firmware onto the SD card and put it back on my hone)
Open the folder with fastboot tool and also include the boot.img.. Power off your phone and press vol-up while you connect your usb cable.. The led will turn blue showing your in fastboot mode, and put the cursor on your pc on a empty space in the fastboot folder, hold shift and right-click... This will open a pop-up and select "open command window here"..
A black screen will appear and type the following: fastboot flash boot boot.img.. press enter
this will take 3 seconds and you will have a working recovery on your phone for now..
Now type in the same black screen: fastboot reboot..
Your phone will boot and you press vol-up or down to get to recovery.. the led will show pink or green ..
wipe your cache/data/system and once done, install the rooted firmware you placed on your sd card.. This will remove the recovery you have installed once you reboot but once you have set your phone up, go to settings/about/build number and press several times until you have unlocked developer options.. go to developer options and check debugging..
connect your phone to the pc, open the dual recovery installer and follow the instructions
You now have a fully rooted phone with recovery installed... Sounds complicated maybe but just take your time and you'll be fine..

xperia Z3c bootloop after flashing CWM

I recently got a z3c and decided to try to get a slim rom on it.
I have done the following:
I unlocked the bootloader.
This was done successfully to the best of my knowledge
The next thing I did was flash a cwm image to by z3c using fastboot. The problem was that I flashed the z3 version on my z3c.
The device would boot but the screen would be blank.
Later I flashed the z3c boot loader named : Z3c_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel_v01_FW-105
After this the device goes in a boot loop. I am able to access CWM.
I have tried to root the phone as well as flash the slim rom in an attempt to fix it....
Wiping disk / cache doesn't help.
Also for some reason even though adb drivers are installed I cannot use it so I can't get the twrp install to work.
I have no idea what to do can someone please help?
Thanks,
stp
I have same issue....Phone is ib bootloop...i can still go to fastboot mode....
Anything can be done here????
Flash an factory image with flashtool then you will have original recovery. Then reinstall CWM, maybe smth went wrong.
Tried flashtool---Ended up with errors as attached pic
As i cant bootup my phone...USB Debugging option cant be ticked
I was running SlimLP (unofficial) while bricked my phone....
Anything on that please....
I managed to recover my phone. I don't think you need usb debugging for flash tool. What I did was turn the phone off (power and volume up seem to be the buttons that force shutdown and break the reboot loop).
flashtool will prompt you to connect when you flash the ftf file and you hold power up and volume down when you connect the usb cable. If you have issues flashing (it hanged on me on system.bin) try restarting your computer.
Resolution and Problem Exp
Right after flashing the device recovery through fastboot the USB cable is plugged and that seems to loop the boot loader, so you need to force shutdown while looping by pressing POWER + VOLUME UP, and after that unplug the USB cable. You will notice that on boot now the light is no longer red.

2 Bootloader??

hi guys
ive a strange behavior with my Z1 (C6903).
i was trying some roms and prepared them for multiROM.
after i had problems with a rom i flashed via EMMA (XperiaFlashtool) FW 14.6.A.0.368 and the "TA Update". i recogniced that i wasn able to get into the AOSP-recovery, but if i press the button-combination Power+VolDown i get a bootscreen with "Sony" in the middle and "Xperia" at bottom, after then the phone seems to restart and presents me the bootscreen but just with "Sony" in the middle, then the Rom starts to start ....
this strange behavior makes it hard to get into TWRP.
it seems the phone starts its standard-bootloader and then starts another one
can someone help me to get again to "normal" state?
with flashtool friend relock bootloader and repair with pc compagnion sony !!!
i relocked bootloader with flashtool, but i cant do anything in PC Compagnion
You could try using fastboot to flash a fresh boot.img. This will get rid of the multirom.
1. Download a kernel (without multirom) you want to use.
2. Extract the boot.img from the zip file to the fastboot folder.
3. Power off and unplug your phone completely.
4. Hold the volume-up button and while holding it connect it to your computer.
5. Your notification LED will be blue if done correctly.
6. Open up fastboot and type in the following code:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
If it's a non-stock one you should unlock the bootloader again.
P.S.
You don't have two bootloaders, the bootloader is the thing that loads the kernel. Multirom uses the kexec hardboot patch to boot another kernel over the one that is already running, skipping the bootloader part. So it is most likely just multirom screwing up.
thx, m8 ^^
it seems your answer is the best choise ^^
i tried many things, but also flashing via fastboot wasnt so easy at first. it was very strange, it seemed that flashing was allways redirected to the second kernel/rom. after some tries i got it to work as "normal" again. i hope its "normal" now, cause i dont trust my phone anymore after this crazy jorney xD
yea, i think i screwed something up with MultiROM combined with DualRecovery ^^"

Stuck in fastboot/bootloader mode forever

Hey Guys
Whenever I turn on my phone it goes into fastboot mode, I am not sure why.
I have tried using fastboot reboot in adb but it still reboots into bootloader(keep in my mind i don't write reboot bootloader)
I even flashed the stock rom using SP Flash tool but even then I don't seem to have any luck.
I tried holding the upper volume button and the power button but it still doesn't reboot into recovery and just gives me a faint text saying "-> FASTBOOT MODE"
the phone can;t even boot into META Mode
Every and any help at all is appreciated
If you have TWRP recovery, try to install a custom ROM or the Stock Rom , Or try to enter in the fastboot and in the pc you download the ADB and install TWRP for you phone (I solved this problem via this method, You can find tutorial about this in internet) I am not responsible for any damage that may occur to your device (You can starts in the bootloader mode pressing Volume Down and the power key)
