A couple weeks ago I came home to my Touchpad stuck in what seems to be an endless boot loop, and it is just stuck on the HP screen. I've tried the multibutton reset multiple times and it will just revert back to this state and remain like this until the battery dies.
I've had no problems with it since I got it new and have never had to use WebOSdoctor to reset it, but now that I need it there seem to be no working links for a download on the entire internet. They all go to a Palm page that says COMING SOON.
Can anyone help me out with a working link? Thanks!

hi everyone. i've been following the forum here for awhile and finally decided to root my brand new NC. i autorooted from 1.1. i saw some things weren't working so i quickly decided to unroot back to factory settings. i unrooted by unregistering the device and turning off the power 8 times. my NC boots up fine, but it gets stuck on the "Registering your Device" page and just remains there with the circle spinning. i think i left it there for more than 30 minutes and nothing happens. has anyone experienced this before? if so, how did you fix it? any help would be appreciated.
sorry if this topic has already been asked - i tried searching but didn't find anything on this specific issue. if there's already a thread, please feel free to share the link with me. thank you!
EDIT: really need some help here... i tried to fix it myself (i know i shouldn't have) and might have made it even worse. i tried to re-autoroot my NC but just completely failed. it was not loading anything anymore, so i tried to unroot again by powering off 8 times. when i restarted, everything looked normal, except the bootloader screen was not stock. it brought me back through the normal tutorial and same thing with it getting stuck on "registering your device". could someone please provide a thorough walkthrough on how to reset to factory settings? i'm seeing all these threads throwing around all these acronyms that i don't understand. seems like i need to try running some clockwork rom but not even sure how to do that. please help!!
Bump, i have just encountered this problem and i need help as well.
Update:
actually just figured it out and heres what fixed my problem, i wasn't doing the factory reset part only the 8 reboot interruptions.

Thanks for your post, even though no one ever helped. I was having the same problem and doing a clear data/factory reset from Clockwork Recover booted from an SD card did the trick for me.
Folks, please need you help. I had my DS7 (rooted) perfectly working over the month until I powered it off last night and after I turned it on, it threw bunch of "force close" down messages for my services and stuck at "welcome to DS7, touch android to begin" initial set up screen with "change language" in the lower right corner. That's it! Cant move any further, reset button did not help too. Please advise if there is a way to recover from it.
Thank you in advance.

Last update: Called DELL yesterday. Spent 2 hours with technician, trying to recover DS7 (factory defaults and whatnot). No luck. The guy told me I should send my DS7 for repair.... I was not happy about it and after the call ended, just went and installed DJs ROM. Well... I'm back to the business now. Just need to figure out how could I roll back to original WiFi only ROM when Honecomb from Dell is ready.

The story so far...
Bought a new Optimus Black and gave it to my girlfriend for her birthday a couple of days ago. After playing with it for about an hour she put it down, I picked it up and decided to have a tinker. I installed Cyanogen mod 3.5.1 after rooting it with Gingerbreak. So far so good but I didn't really like the look of the ROM and the absence of a Market seemed like hassle so I used ClockworkMod to restore the backed up stock ROM.
It's still working fine but now I see there is an official update from inside the phone. I presume it's the upgrade to Android 2.3 so run it and reboot the phone. That's when it all goes wrong. I'm now stuck in the CWM recovery screen. I try all the options, following any online guides I can find that were supposed to have worked for people. I try restoring the backup, restoring cyanogen, clearing the cache, dalvik, everything but nothing happens and I keep booting back into the CWM recovery screen.
Next day I try the LGUnitedMobileDriver and the phone recovery option but despite trying several times I can get no further. A friend tried to use Odin to restore it but got no success. Finally, we tried restoring with a KDZ file with
KDZ_FW_UPD_EN, Windows Enabler and LG B2CTool and now the phone got stuck in yet another loop - a black screen with 'updating firmware'. The LEDs flash for a minute and it reboots and does the same again.
What's more, the phone will now no longer charge or turn on without being connected to the mains.
What are my options here?
Follow the tutorial given below.

have you tried the CS_EMERGENCY option in R&D TOOLS? Wait I'll find the link..
Here >>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18841596&postcount=8

The CS_EMERGENCY is the only thing worked, he used a german V10A ROM. If you managed to unbrick it, you can flash it again with your desired KDZ, or use CS_EMERGENCY and flash directly your desired KDZ. TRIAL AND ERROR.
Emergency c-section... nope, I will try that now!
Said that it will get stuck at 4% but it is still flashing. Just wait for the phone to reboot by itself.
It just crashes with a fatal error as soon as it gets to the second tab (downloading) on both PCs I tried it on. I tried several KDZ files with the same result.
Does anyone know if it's possible to physically change the ROM on this phone and if it would be worth trying that before binning the thing?

Does it have warranty? Why not RMA it, I think it has a hardware problem now since you mentioned it doesn't charge anymore. Also, have you tried a different USB cable?
The warranty gets voided as soon as you root or mod a phone and it's probably as expensive to get it fixed outside of warranty as to buy a new one.

Most of the time they change the board right away if it can't boot (as many as I've read) board was changed and none just revived the OS. So they won't know you rooted it. Just specify that they should contact you first before making any changes.

true.. you can just tell them that you received an update and upon getting it the phone wont boot anymore.. just dont tell them that you rooted it or tinkered it in any way.. i'm sure you'll be able to get your warranty that way..

Hey everyone.
I have the LG Thrill (P925) from AT&T. I'm used to changing roms and trying new things.
Well today I get a text from AT&T saying ICS is out, so I go and download the LG Mobile Support Tool
like the text says. The first few times don't work. I got stuck at the LG boot logo. (I didn't wipe the phone before.)
So I wait an hour to 1.5 hours. Still nothing. I try again and search the forums while I wait. Someone says to try using XP.
So I try in XP mode under Win 7. Everything is going well up until 90%. It does the whole driver disconnected sound as per normal
but then it happens. My phone starts up and shows the LG logo for 3/4ths of a second and then restarts (Black screen for 2 seconds) and
then repeats the whole process over again. What can I do?
(EDIT: Almost forgot: I was on CM7 when I tried to go to Official ICS)
All from the official LG tool...
SOLVED
After trying a few things I held the Volume up button and the power button to get it recognized by the computer. Then
I found a different copy of the LG Mobile support tool than what was on their site. I used the recovery phone option and it worked!
Hopefully this will help someone. I'll post where I got the tool soon.
Could you please give a link or tell me where you got the other lg mobile support tool. Because everything was going good for me and my phone restarted after it was done updating. But when it restarted it got hung up at the att animation and it just stays there... The way I got the official lg mobile support tool to recognize my phone was to put it into download mode also.
I got the KDZ_Flashing_Software.zip from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191698
Install the msxml from the zip then you can use the B2CAppSetup program.
Hope it helps.

Did these suggestions work for you? I'm in the same spot (frozen at&t logo). I've tried recovery phone several times to no avail. Trying one last time hoping for a miracle.
I was running a acidhazardrom gingerbread rom before attempting to update to latest official ICS. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Glad to help.
I know it's something I did, probably the custom image I had running, but the LG Support Tool totally borked my phone. My Thrill would only stay on for a split second, and would continuously boot cycle when plugged into USB. The boot cycle was so fast that half the time it wouldn't even get to the LG logo!
Fixed it with fastboot (omap4boot) and SmartFlash Tool. What a nightmare. Only good thing is I was able to flash from BIN file directly to ICS.

Thanks for your help too. Obviously these issues stem from the fact that we used custom roms on the Thrill. It doesn't help that the LG Tools are complete software crap.

noope still stuck at the lg screen
i was using my phone this morning alright and it suddenly froze for 5 seconds and turned off. i tried opening again, but it was looping back to the LG splash screen. this was annoying enough because i wasn't doing any experiments or anything. i was using it like i usually do and it suddenly did this. i tried to reset it, same. went to TWRP to make a backup but even the recovery froze and turned off. moved a rom to the phone and tried flashing it, THE RECOVERY AGAIN FROZE AND PHONE TURNED OFF! i then considered flashing it to stock. i opened LG UP and put my phone into download mode, then started the flashing process. it completed all the way to 100 and then my phone turned to the lg screen and then to the TMOBILE screen and then again rebooted and got into a bootloop! what the hell is happening? flashing the stock is like the final solution. what should i do? Please please please help me i'll get into a lot of trouble if i dont fix my phone.

that sucks. well you can bake the board but its temporary sometimes. or you could make it boot freezing it and install kernele auditor and disable big cores. may need a custom kernel for that..
or buy a motherboard..

do a search on how to fix LG G4 bootloop. the freezing its somewhere in here tmobile section. i know you have to put in plastic bag and have it in the freezer so it doesnt get hot and bootloop is just to keep it cold to point of no bootloop while you retrieve data. but you can disable big cores. and let it run on 4 cores.
