Samsung I9000 Galaxy s doesnt recognize sim card

Hi everybody.
I got this weird problem with my cellphone. I have an international I9000. after factory reset my phone doesnt recognize sim anymore. I tried it with other sims too but my efforts were not successful. I tried flashing with other roms but again nothing happened. what am I supposed to do now? have you ever had the same problem?
Hi i have had the same problem when i flashed my phone, if you have a backup you need to copy the EFS folder back onto your phone as it contains your phone info emei modem details, if you do not have a backup then you will need to find the original rom for your phone, do a search for EFS and EMEI on here there is lots of info on this problem. good luck and the best of regards....
thank u very much buddy I have tried flashing with xxjpu but the problem still exists. what do u exactly mean by original rom?
Help me please guys

[Q] Galaxy S i9000 Sim Card Not Recognized

Hey guys,
I have a Galaxy S i9000 International Version, and I'm in New Zealand. I was running Darky's Rom 10.2 RE, and I tried updating to 10.2.2 Final. I did something stupid, I think I might have had my lagfix on, but I managed to bootloop. I reflashed to a Gingerbread ROM that I had lying around, but my SIM card was no longer recognized. I tried another SIM card, which also didn't work. My SIM card worked in another phone though.
I had a look around, and my IMEI number was still right, so I backed up my EFS, just in case I killed it. I then flashed a local stock Froyo rom, VNZJP3. Still no sim card recognized. So right now, I'm on a Stock Froyo rom, rooted, and I have no idea where to go.
did you flash the roms with sim card in the phone? That could have been the problem, that happened to me.
I took my phone back to shop where i got it and they replaced the sim card and problem fixed.
I did indeed. Other SIM cards don't work in the phone though and the SIM card works in other phones.
FWIW this happened to me (also on a Darkys ROM oddly enough)
After initial panic I simply reflashed the ROM and all was fine.
Silly question but have you enabled all the services (like use packet data etc)
I did reflash my rom, no dice. Also, my services are definitely enabled, but it doesn't actually recognized the SIM card.

Check that the into your phone is displaying is the same as what it is written on your phones box or something!

I never remove the sim card when flashing. Maybe " airplane " mode is ON.

[Q] SIM Card not recognized after flashing, but IMEI and Code correct(?)

Dear experts, I need your help please!
After years of flashing and enjoying the know how in this forum, I got into serious trouble for the first time.
I flashed ICS333, and I guess, my IMEI was lost (0049...). But everything worked fine, so I didn't fix it. After a few weeks I got the known FC-bug of the ROM and reflashed it. The phone boot looped, so I had to do some wiping and reflashing. When I managed it to boot again, it didn't recognize my SIM card anymore, just as if it wasn't there.
Here is what I did already:
Checked the SIM card with another phone: Works fine.
Flashed a stock rom on SGS: SIM still not working.
Restored IMEI via Nitrality. Got a "new" one, different to "0049", but: SIM not working.
Erased the nv-Files in the EFS-Folder. Product Code is VD2 again. It was KOR before, and should be correct now as I am in Germany and Vodafone-Customer. But again: No SIM card detected.
Followed the instructions in the "Restore your IMEI"-Tutorials, even though it is restored already. Used Terminal, BusyBox, Ghost Commander. Didn't help...
As you can see I tried EVERYTHING I could find on the net in the last few days, and I am really exhausted and clueless now. Can anyone help me please!?!?
Please erase this thread. During all the IMEI- and country-code-trouble (that really occured, I swear!) I fixed the problem without knowing it. Because I inserted the SIM the wrong way constantly. This is sooo embarrassing. Shame on me for steeling your time! :/
Thanks for the laugh, this is highly amusing!
THANK YOU!!
I mean literally!! I had exactly the same problem as you! Never would've noticed it if it weren't for your story!
although i feel a little stupid right now
Please help
i have the same problem only i cant fix my imei, after flashing the phone it changed to 00499.. it made no nv_data.bin.bak
If the efs folder havent been backed up, what can i do? I tried changing the nv_data file like some tutorials here explain, but no luck(tried couple of times, it defently not compatible with my galaxy s3), i believe these tutorials are for erlier galaxies.
Please help!
Thank you

[Q] HELP SIM CARD Not recognized after flashing rom

Dear XDA I9070 experts I really need some help here.
First I want to apologize if I have some errors, my english is not very good, so sorry about that, I will try to do my best to explain and give the best background information if anyone can help me.
My actual phone is an Motorola Atrix 2, and I have flashed roms several times following the procedures explained on the threads here in this awesome site XDA step by step. So being able to flash roms with no problem at all I tried to do the same on my wifes old Samsung I9070.
I followed a thread that explained how to flash a ROM from GB to Kit Kat for the I9070 step by step here on XDA. The thread is this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2198341
It all went fine but being that the phone was not being used by anybody I forgot to insert a SIM CARD before the flashing procedure. I really don't know if that makes a difference, but when the mobile booted the first time after the ROM flashing I inserted my SIM card and to my surprise I didnt recognized it... booted the phone again several times and nothing, but the SIM card is being detected right away on my Motorola.
So I tried to do some research about that and some people suggested to go back to stock firmware, and others told that it was a problem with the EFS folder.
So I tried going back to stock JB with ODIN, but this time with the SIM CARD inserted, and nothing, the same problem. So I tried inspecting the EFS folder and I think that is the problem but I need some advice on this.
The EFS FOLDER has this content:
A bunch of files named CRYPTPROP...
DECRYPT_KEY
ESSIV
GUARDFIL
NV.LOG
NV_DATA.BIN.MD5
And some folders inside... Thats all. I didnt made any backups of the phone or the EFS folder
So I tried using the code *#06# and it gives a valid IMEI 3544******* etc
I really don't know how the phone still shows a valid IMEI with the file NV_DATA.BIN missing, so I checked the phone information and found this:
Inside SETTINGS:
MODEL NUMBER: GT-I9070
ANDROID VERSION: 4.1.2
BASEBAND VERSION: I9070XXLQL
KERNEL VERSION: 3.0.31 - 1485715
BUILD NUMBER: JZO54K.I9070XXLQL
Inside SETTINGS - STATUS:
NETWORK: UNKNOWN
SERVICE STATE: OUT OF SERVICE
MOBILE NETWORK STATE: DISCONNECTED
MY PHONE NUMBER: UNKNOWN
IMEI: 3544******
Maybe the EFS folder is not all bad, I really dont know, please I need some advice here. My motorola screen is dying and I need to recover this one as it is a good phone. Thanks in advance for your help.

Your baseband is not missing, but anyway you can try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2677807
P.S. And you did factory reset after going from GB to JB?

And to answer your question... yes I did factory reset several times... wiped cache, everything... several times after flashing :crying:
Any other suggestions?, I really don't know what else to do... thanks in advance for your help and time.
What JB rom did you flash? Link? Perhaps any Baseband problem ... and where are you from?

Thank you Flo0008 for you help... I used a firmware from Sammobile... this one exactly I9070XXLQL_I9070ITVLQ5_ITV as it was one of the more recent ones.
By the way I'm from Venezuela, but I bought the phone new and unlocked from amazon, the phone is in mint condition and my wife used it for more than a year without any problems, also we use the same carrier... it was not used anymore since December 2013 and recently I charged it for a full battery and did the firmware flashing and since then I'm facing the No SIM card, Insert SIM card message.
Could it be the firmware I selected I9070XXLQL_I9070ITVLQ5_ITV the problem?... It's from Italy... maybe you can recommend using another one.
Thanks in advance!
I had similar situation once when I tried different SIM card. My solution was to put SIM a bit twisted into its bed.
[\] instead of [|].
It took few tries but finally it got detected and working.

most likely your phone was *not* SIM unlocked before you flashed it: I did the same thing to mine and read many similar stories here and there.
I never found a solution and bricked my phone while trying to fix it. I went up to copiing a full ROM dump from another working 9070P: the copy succeded and phone worked (IMEI cloned etc...) but still no SIM card recognized (it was a spare free one so not a problem
If I manage to achieve my unbrick procedure (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701363), we might be able to fix that by reseting the full ROM to a valid state.
Facing the No Sim issues
i am facing the same problem, and it was all of a sudden."No SIM"
I sent the phone to service center, but they failed to repair.
i have tried everything, hard reset, downgrade to GB, upgrading again to JB (via ODIN), custom ROMs, but no luck.
what i figured out is my phone works on some older SIM cards, which have square shaped Chip (like the one in BSNL sim).
any suggestions????
