[Q] random freeze and hard reboot - Galaxy S5 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi !
My Galaxy S5 mini (stock ROM, no tweaks) spontaneously freezes approx. once per week. The only solution is then to remove the battery before rebooting.
Did anyone experience the same problem ?
How likely is it to be a software or hardware issue ?
Thanks in advance for your consideration !

Sometimes when im watching tv series on chrome my g800f freezes and sometimes it reboots for no reason. But that happens rarely.

This is apparently a common issue on GB roms. See multiple similar threads. Add your comments to them but it seems to be very widespread and something with stock and custom roms.

device reboots while playing games

Hello, guys
I have an optimus 2x SU660 which is basically a korean version of the P990. it virtually has the same hardware with the p990 except this version has a digital tv tuner and a different button configuration.
i have been having a problem with the device rebooting/crashing while playing games regardless of whether these games use memory heavily or not. sometimes, it even reboots/crashes while surfing the internet or when i tinker with the phone after playing or surfing.
i recently installed CM 7.1 to try and see if the issue could be fixed. thankfully, the device crashes or reboots less compared to stock gingerbread (V20J) but the issue is still there.
are any of you experiencing the same problem? i used to think the processor heat causes the reboots and crashes but sometimes, it still faces the same issue when the phone is used after being on standby for hours.
by the way, my phone does not reboot or experience reboots or crashes or BSODs when left charging alone as posted by some users here. it only does so when in use.
I hope somebody can enlighten me
Should be returned for repair.
i had this odd problem a while back with stock GB roms.
but the games i was playing were graphically detailed, but what i found to be an issue was the permission for accessing the networks, both wifi and data.
it rebooted because it was changing the wifi on and data on at the same time that made the phone shut down. a bug in the rom caused the shutdown from the networks.
but the game was causing the networks to change on / off to get access to the internet.
this may not be your issue.
but try a rom with a recommended baseband and ril. and see if the phone restarts when you change youe wifi on / off and data on / off.
if you get no shut down. try the games again to see.
hope this helps.

[Q] Question about Youtube stutter and Wifi connection issues

Guys i previously had stock v20e ..and i flashed stock v20q using one of the LG mobile update tool hacks i found here.It got flashed successfully. I didnt do a factory reset though.
Now though the phone works well..
1)The Youtube videos stutter a lot, restarting the phone fixes it.
2)Also the pressing the wifi button doesnt even show up my wifi router name to connect.Again, restarting fixes it.
(Both these problems occur after continuous uptime of about 2-3 days without power off)
What is causing this? I bought a dual core phone and I expected it to be much faster.Quite disappointed.
Guys is there any fix to these issues?Do you guys experience the same issues on 20q?

[Q] Unstable Wifi on Xperia T

Hi,
I've noticed that Wifi on my Xperia T is unstable : there is no deconnexion but the download speed fall down every 60 seconds exactly and remains equal to zero during about 2-3 seconds.
This is a severe issue because it prevents me to use real-time streaming applications like SoundWire or Airfoil speaker.
It ocurs whatever the JB firmware (9.1.A.0.489 and 9.1.A.1.140).
Have you an idea to fix this issue ?
Thanks in advance...

samsung galaxy S5 screen lag after factory reset

Update: I downgrade my phone to 4.4 Kitkat and the problem persist (the same general lag), So now Im pretty sure its a Hardware problem
Hi everyone!
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active AT&T ( Android 5.0 lollipop), and I accidentally drop it from my desk a few days ago, I pick it up and didn't appear to have any cosmetic damage at all, the phone was off, so I turn it on immediately, but notice that the booting animation was REALLY slow (aprox 5 frames per second), and now it has lag everywhere using any app (but the sounds are unaffected somehow), even the charging animation has lag.
I did a factory reset and wipe the cache several times, but the lag continues (or got worse), the phone is not Rooted, and lollipop was already installed in the phone (I haven't updated android).
I know that maybe the fall its not responsible for the lag, but It seems too much of a coincidence.
what do you guys think? its a software problem or a Hardware problem?
Sorry for the noob language, its my first post. Thanks in advance!
It does take a while for the cache's and updates to load...
