How to add the ability to control the device
Hi,
Thank you for the app. I wish to develop the ability to control the device as the original 'Project my screen' does. Can you point me to the right direction on how to do it, which APIs are used and how it works in the first place?
I looked around google and found nothing...
Thanks

Morning!
Im tinkering around learning about adding apps and customizations to existing ROMS. Im messing around with Tayutama Edition v1.0.2 (I9000) superslim, and i want to add shortcuts to the desktop and remove existing ones. Where would i find that info? I think i read its just in a xml file but i cannot see one that includes the information in the ROM
2nd Question: Do i have to keep the modem.bin file in the ROM? i just dont need to keep flashing it every time i test if the radio hasnt changed
3rd Question: I put in Handcent SMS into the /system/app to install when it flashes, but it crashes when i go to settings. Anyone else seen this?
Im very new to this, but a quick study! Any help is appreciated!!
Cheers!
Anybody Know? Maybe i posted this in the wrong forum? Arg i have just hit a wall and i cannot find the answers im looking for!!!
Cheers!
AllGamer and I share the forum-level moderating responsibilties for the SGS i9000 areas. While I have asked ragin (and ask the same of everyone here) to use the "report this" button at the top of every thread/post to notify us of things like this, this thread (and several others he has comment similarly in) are indeed misplaced and do not belong in the development section.
If anyone is unclear as to the proper location/placement for threads, particularly in regards to the development section, I advise you to read both the "STOP!! Before you post, read this NOW!!" thread at the top of each section...it has clear and extensive guidelines for what should and should not be posted in the development section.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in both proper placement of threads/posts, as well as proper use of the methods for handling ones that end up here improperly
Deleted. Changed my mind about the question
Hi folks,
I'm opening this thread to provide a place for people who have questions or problems with the WebServer Native Access app to contact me and get support. I will monitor this thread as closely as I can. As always, PLEASE search before posting (seriously, it's in the forum rules)! Questions which have already been answered will get responses ranging from exasperated to snarky, or may get no response at all!
I am doing this for a few reasons.
1) People without at least ten forum posts can't post in the main thread, so this gives them a better option than PMing me (PLEASE don't do that unless it's some kind of seriously sensitive issue).
2) The main thread is a mishmash of version announcements, problem reports (and responses), discussion of the technology and capabilities, and various other miscellaneous topics. It's messy and makes finding what you're looking for pretty hard in many cases. If you have a question about the app, even if you have at least ten posts, please put it here!
3) The original thread has a lot of very early discussion of the app, which is mostly irrelevant now. Except for the top post, almost nothing posted in that thread has been updated as the app has progressed. I will try to keep this one up to date.
Stuff that goes here:
* Questions about using the app ("Does this work on the Lumia Icon?").
* Questions about the app itself ("Can I include the server code in my own app?")
* Requests for help ("How do I install this app on WP8.1?")
* Bug reports, although if you can write a COMPLETE bug report - environment, repro steps, expected result, details of what happened instead - you are also welcome to post those in the main thread.
* Discussions of bugs and issues that have already been reported, including suggested fixes or work-arounds.
* Feature requests, though these can also be put on the main thread.
Stuff that doesn't go here:
* General "Thank you! Very useful" posts; there's a Thanks button under every post I (or anybody else) make.
* Discussion of the technical details of the app (code suggestions, etc.).
* Unhelpful declarations that you have a problem ("It doesn't work!") - those don't belong *anywhere*!
* Requests for the ETA of a new version or feature (I can't give ETAs for something I'm only able to work on in my spare time)
* Anything that has already been answered, even in another thread!
F A Q will go here when I get around to writing one.
Reserved for now.
Dont Work on #920
Wow, I'm... sorry to hear that? Maybe if you provided even the least, tiniest bit of useful information (like, what happened, whether you were able to install the app, whether you were able to run it, what OS version you're running, the minor and obvious stuff) I would actually be able to help you.
Hi,
I'm trying to make an Windows Phone 8.1 App that provides 2 statics htmls to be loaded from a computer.
I had tried a lot of times to use the "WP8Native Access Webserver" but it doesn't work.
Can you say me a tutorial or an example app to see how to use it on WP8.1?
THX!

MinInCallVolume 4369
hi
how to moderate shaking bells had lumia
Hi.
In call volume is too loud for me, even 1/10.
I tried to lower it by changing MinInCallVolume from 4369 to 17 or 1 or 0, but it is not changing anything. (I used Root Tools app)
What value should I use to lower in call volume?

This depend by hardware, not by changing registry key.

I don't know... It's only useless for this scope.
Try to increment "MaxInCallUIVolume" to 30 via proxy and when you try to call, set it to "1/30" on your phone
Is it possible to use ProxyRegistryEditor if i don't have any old version of Windows Insider?

Can WP8 Native Access be used to call LoadLibrary in order to call SetWindowsHooksEx?
Hi,
I am looking for a way to call SetWindowsHookEx function in order to listen to input events on an application. Since Native Access allow access to native code I wanted to understand if it can be used to call any Win32 API function.
If yes, how?
I looked at the source code and did not get how exactly do you call the native Win32 functions...
Thanks
I haven't yet, but probably should, implemented LoadLibrary. Nor have I implemented SetWindowHooksEx, although I'm not sure what you expect to use this one for. Are you trying to monitor input to your own app? You can't access other processes/threads to hook them.

too far out of warranty, id have to pay out of pocket. It's just hard for me to justify paying exorbitant amounts to repair something I have the ability to do it myself. although at this point I think I just don't have the tools. I wish phone manufactures didn't lock down their phones so much. I mean we own the phone we should be able to do whatever we want with them right?

I ran into the same issue yesterday after a failed attempt to flash WP10 preview. After downloading the files needed from Navifirm I moved the folders into C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Packages\Products\RM-927.
(you my have to change your settings under the view tab to "view hidden files" if you don't see the ProgramData folder)
*You might have to create/copy the RM-927 folder*
Afterwards I held "Volume Down and Power" while running the Windows Recovery Tool.
*Your phone should continue to reboot while holding the combination down.
I selected the phone not listed option, Lumia and eventually while holding it said something about UEFI device mode. I continued to hold it as it detected my device and eventually I saw the arrows in that formed a squarish loop pop up on my device and the software was installed.
The Black Lumia Icon's Product code is 059S694
and the White one is 059T4M7
Hope this helps. I'm not great at writing tutorials and did this all by trial and error from gathered information from multiple sources
