[Q] Has anyone successfully paired a Logitech unifying keyboard with Z3C? - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using the USB OTG cable that was supplied with the phone, the phone recognises the Logitech receiver as a physical keyboard in Language and Input settings, but no text appears when I try to type with the keyboard, even-though the keyboard is switch on and has plenty of battery power. Tried various keyboard layouts for the physical keyboard, but that didn't help.

[Q] 'USB on the Go' no keyboards or mice, wired or wireless working, any idea please?

Hello Members, i'm not a developer, but have a Note GT - N7000 uk version running Gingerbread 2.3.6. , so i would very grateful for you help.
I've bought two 'USB On The Go' adapters, one was not Samsung, one is. When i plug in any adapter the phone see's it, if i plug in a mouse or keyboard, wired or wireless the phone reads it saying...keyboard connected or Mouse connected, but no mouse pointer appears, nor does the keyboard types anything.
If i plug in any USB flash drive, it is always read and i can see all the files.
What's going on? I get the feeling ther's nothing mechanically wronge with the phone, but feel it maybe a data issue.
A bluetooth keyboard or mouse has no problems working, but using a keyboard/mouse this way seem's less responsive via bluetooth, than USB wireless.
I've included a screenshot from my 'about' screen, any help would be really helpful.
Kind regards
Livio
I tried many keyboards via OTG cable. It seems the only workable is the logitech (without integrated touchpad).
I'm now using a bluetooth keyboard (chinese manufacturing) working very well, in order to leave free the mini-usb and put it on the hdmi adapter.
I can plug a USB mouse in and the pointer shows up and it works.
I've only tried 1 USB keyboard and it didn't work.
It was an old Acer (I think) and it had a lot of lights, so I'm not sure if it required too much power for the Note...
I also read that you might need to turn the phone off, plug in the keyboard and then boot the phone up with the keyboard plugged in.
But that was after I had access to the keyboard to try.
So for me, mouse works, keyboard doesn't.
I just plugged the keyboard and mouse in out of curiosity.
I have a BT mouse and I've ordered a BT keyboard and hoping that will arrive in about a week.
Thanks for the replies, i tried a few keyboards and mouse makes, and i even tried the 'switch off /switch on' method with no luck, what's strange is that it see's the items plugged in but the mouse pointer doesn't appear even though the screen kind of does a quick refresh as if the pointer was going to show.
My conclusion is that it can only be Gingerbread, i'm guessing that when the ICS update finally gets offered for download, wireless keyboards and mice will work, i've done the same as yourselves and just bought a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, both different and reputable makes so i hope that they work ok.
Regards

Mouse and keyboard

The double female adapter that I bought did not seem to work so I bought a miniusb to usb adapter. But mice and keyboards still does not work. There is even a setting for mouse sensitivity in the phone. How do you get it to work!?
Thanks.
Seems custom kernel is the only way
Use a bluetooth capable mouse

Games with mouse & keyboard

Anybody found a working solution how to play FPS l Iike Nova3 with mouse and keyboard? I have a usb-mouse and a Bt keyboard.
When i am using usb/bt joycenter actual 5.08 Nova always switch to Moga Controller settings and i can't control anything. When I am using external keyboard helper I can control the keyboard, but not the mouse. For aiming i need a mouse, I can't do it with a controller: )
Okay, got it! I always tried with Bluetooth keyboard, but never really succeed. Now I tried a usb keyboard (Cherry) together with usb mouse from Logitech (connected by a small passive hub from Belkin!) and it worked together with usb/bt joycenter actual 8.08 and nova 3 right of the box. Finally I can play FPS like on PC much more precise compared to a gamepad or stick.
How that's some help for some other gamblers out there
That seems very nice. I am going to try that!

Pair mouse, but not as keyboard?

Pairing a bluetooth mouse is fine, but Android also configures the mouse as an external keyboard. Is there any way to avoid that and just use the mouse, as a mouse?

Strange wireless bluetooth results

Recently loaded Pop-os then Ubuntu after having issues with a wireless keyboard both OS's have the same results so the issue must be related to the Pi itself. I completed the following:
Logitech MX wireless bluetooth keyboard functions normally with Pop on 2 other computers
Logitech 520 wireless USB Unifying Receiver keyboard functions normally with Pop on 2 other computers
Logitech wireless mouse works also with the USB Unifying receiver
Loaded distribution on Raspberry Pi 4 [did not use the Raspberry linux]
Pi 4 has both USB and bluetooth capabilities
connected a Logitech wireless mouse with the USB Unifying receiver: functions normally
connected a USB wired keyboard: functions normally
connected a Logitech MX wireless keyboard via bluetooth: connected and functions normally
Disconnected the USB wired keyboard
MX keyboard stayed connected via bluetooth but no longer would send commands to the Raspberry
Reconnected the USB keyboard: Mx wireless keyboard functions normally as long as the wired keyboard is in place
Connected the 520 wireless keyboard with the USB Unifying receiver: it also functions normally but no longer functions if the wired keyboard is disconnected
Anyone have any idea where to go with this? Appreciate any comments.
