Does anyone know why my icons spread themselves over 19 pages? Some pages only have one icon. How do i get them back into just a couple pages? My phone is rooted by method given in this forum.
If this answer is already given, I apologize I couldn't find it here, I tried.
Thanks for your answers
What kind of phone?
What method?
You can probably set the number of home screen pages in settings.
What Launcher are you using?

It's a Samsung Exhibit II 4G, rooted using Zerg Rush.i don't know what launcher it's using (if you tell me where to go I can find out). The 19 pages are not home screens .. they are application screens
If you haven't flashed a Rom and only rooted you're on stock touchwiz. I believe to fix that just open up app drawer and click the menu button and it should give you option to order apps . set it to alphabetically and you be back to normal
Yes, that was it, thank you so much!
Hello everyone!
I got my HTC One two weeks ago (switched from my "old" HOX). Really, really fast and well build smartphone, there are just two things that are bugging me and I could not find any help on the net:
1. Is there any possibility to set some custom location for the HTC/Sense 5 weather app? I mean the widget you can see on the lockscreen. Because I do not want to be tracked more than necessary but could not find any hint where I cant set it up properly. I mean it should be...I could set up some custom places in the weather app itself....
2. How can I change/rearrange the order of my homescreeens? I can create new ones and delete them, but changing their order?
Thanks in advance
1. Click weather and when weather is up hit menu. You can change the update frequency and whether to "follow my location" Hope that helps
2. Only thing I know is you can set any one of your screens as home. I don't think you can rearrange without deleting and setting them up in the order you want.

Hello,
Does anyone know how to remove the ongoing Wifi Notification from the notification tray?
I’m referring to “Wi-Fi connected to [network name]” sticky notification.
I want to remove it because it is really annoying and takes up space in the tray .
I know that there was a hack made for Verizon’s Galaxy S4 however that required custom recovery. Currently my Note 3 is rooted (root de la vega method) but the bootloader is still locked.
Any ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!!
Think you can do it with xposed/wanam mods.

It is in Wanam. You all have to install the Xposed framework then install wanam.

Not sure why it made it an attachment but here is the screen shot.

You can disable this without rooting

For the longest time when I first got the Note 3 was very annoyed with this "feature". I finally dug deep enough and found where you can turn this off.
Settings > Wi-Fi Settings > [Click Menu when on the Wi-Fi list/options screen] > Advanced > Wi-Fi Notifications: uncheck.
I mean, who would think to push the menu button when already this far into a settings screen? I didn't, until now... So happy now as this was one of my only real complaints I had with the Note 3 (stock).
Ugh I had such a bad experience with Xposed / Wanam. It nuked battery life and made MMS messages stop working. Had to uninstall it, not worth it.

I couldn't locate the final setting, however I bought a Note 3 rooted it but it was already on the stock 4.4.2.
I currently have a htc one m8 stock android 4.4.4 with verizon and discovered an app called Notification Cleaner by Sagar Vaidya. Its free on the playstore and workes like a charm. I had it display system apps and checked off android system and have yet to receive another notification. Hope this helps some users.
It seems Verizon disabled a bunch of useful features that are included on the other carriers software variant. This includes the LG smart world themes. You can get these back pretty easily, it's a similar process that was used on the G4 & G3, and works on the G5 see here:

Get the application "Any Shortcut" from play store
Open the application and enter the following details
Application : com.lge.launcher2
Activity : com.lge.launcher2.theme.LGThemeChooserActivity
Action: [Keep blank]
Intent : [Keep blank]
Then : create, your shortcut is done !
Now open the shortcut and your theme chooser application will fire up.
Download LG themes from LG Smart World application (not installed by default) and start applying themes.

Since we don't yet have root, and Knock-off's utility is greatly reduced with 3rd party launchers (restricted to notification area), you may find the themes on smartworld a boon to liven up your device.
There are also a bunch of other interesting menus/settings, which are normally hidden, that you can access with an app called "Activity Launcher". Just set the menu to "All Activities" and look around, there's an interesting setting for the auto brightness among others.

it don't work
Make sure you typed everything correctly. My keyboard autocorrected several of those characters the first couple of times I tried it. It works on my Verizon G5.
I tried this with my G5 and it didn't work either. But I found out the issue. The theme feature is only functional with Home UX 4.0 and NOT UX 5.0. With Home 5.0, the shortcut shows up but I would get a pop up error stating 'Application is not Available'. If I switch to Home UX 4.0, the theme shortcut is functional and I can choose to change the theme. Try using Home 4.0 and it should work just fine.
Good detective work!

You will need to download the LG SmartWorld APK file. From chrome browser on your phone, navigate to www.lgworld.com. Before you download the app/ apk file, go to the security settings and ensure that 'Unknown Sources' selection is set to ON. this is because the app is not from the google play store. After you confirmed the security setting is to allow the app to load, go to the website I listed above. Follow the on screen instructions to select the region and language you will use. after that the window should populate with the Download LG SmartWorld selection. Select it and you will see the pop up notification to start the download. After download is complete, another pop up will show to Install the app on you device. select Yes.
Once the app is installed, open the SmartWorld app. Your going to have to download the UX4.0 home screen. You may need to create a log in. Upon start up of the app, there will be a pop up display instructing how to get the 4.0 Home screen. After that, you can follow the instructions listed in the OP of this thread. Hope this helps. :good:

I downloaded and set LG Home & app drawer 4.0. That's the only one that came up.

I think so. I searched LG world and found LG Home & app drawer 4.0.
Perfect!

I am not a developer, but I'm here learning from you all. I did it and it worked , you guys are amazing , after the update (Android 6.0/ LG G3 D850 working on T-Mobile) my LG Smartworld was useless. Now, I'm able to use themes I have previously downloaded. Thank you so much, you guys rock :good:
Can someone post the home ux4.0 apk? Searched smartworld and can't find it. When I follow the direct link to the smartworld download page for the launcher from androidcentral smartworld FCs.

The reason you can't see it in Smartworld is because Verizon doesn't support the LG Home & app drawer, according to LG.
And can't pull the apk from /data without root. Sorry.
Figured that's what it was. Damn you big red! Got the apk from an external source, followed the instructions works fine. The home themes list is embarrassingly short on smartworld, probably also because verizon and reasons.
Thanks, this also worked for an ATT G5. Incredibly stupid that they removed the theme engine...
I'm still having issues with lg smart world, everything I download from there restarts the smart world app. It never downloads anything theme wise or lg theme wise, I've the app shortcut like it's said here to do but still no themes download, only wallpapers any ideas?

Are you by chance using any Knox containers?
No
Isn’t 1 Samsung and 1 Google ? Check both accounts settings, and see if they are both turned on.. Yes it’s obvious 1 of them is on so you need to check the other sorry i would check for you but ONE UI PIE 9 Sucks! So I can’t check for you sorry I’m sticking to Oreo 8.1!
If you disable pin to windows?
I am faced same problem can u help me?
