[Q] Front facing webcam - compatible apps?

Hey there,
Just wondering what apps works with the front facing camera - I know that Skype for android currently does not support video calling.
Is there alternative app/programs that does support video calling via the front facing camera?
I heard something about 'Quik' or something, but are these programs compatible with say my Skype contact list?
Help would be much appreciated.
I am using oovoo, the only app that doesn't stutter on 3g.
You may also try tango, qik, and the google talk app. I haven't had much luck with those as they all shuttered pretty badly for me.
If you check out the themes and apps section you can find the version of skype that has video chat.

That's the best news I've heard all day! YUSS! video chat via skype here i come...
you wouldn't know whether it is smooth via WIFI would u? Nobody has really commented about it in the threads.
From my experience, wifi-to-wifi is quite good. If it's 3G you are after, then prepare for some stuttering...
Enjoy

Even other members will use "google" for the app you need. So help yourself once in a while. Do some research.
AFAIK, screenrecorder apps does not even work well so recording video and audio would be quite hard..

Gtalk (Talk.apk) doesn't comes as an app in Play Store
In fact, it comes as an app where the manufactures pre-installs it, just like the Play Store app.
To download it separately, you have to go to goo.im. That's the only way I'd known of.

[Q] How to make Video Calls on Xperia Z.

Hi All,
Im trying to video calls on my xperia z but not found...
Please help me for this thread..
Do you have tried?
Tried Skype?
As far as I know.. The XZ don't have its own video call function. Like on the SG3. But still, I used Skype. Main reason is that it used mobile data, even if I was on WiFi. Also the mobile data did not affect my monthly plan, it just raised my bill.... Go for Skype or other app from googly play

At work we use Google Hangout. It proved more reliable than Skype. But YMMV.

Really? Yeah, I have noticed that Skype is not that reliable... Getting disconnected, volume suddenly fades away etc..
Reason I use skype is that most of my friends are using it aswell...

We use it for video conference calling. Every project member has a Google+ account. Invitations are send and it works. Well, most of the time

I see! Maybe this will work better when group studying, without a member just keep falling out.
Thanks )
Now the OP has two options. Google + hangout and skype ;p

Make that three, Google Talk (and there is a iPhone client for videochatting over GTalk too, I forgot it's name, but it was pretty sucky.)

+1 for hangout using the talk app on the xz. its been the most reliable video chat program for me.
Well, does anyone even tried (custom ROM, maybe?) to make video calling function work? Besides third party apps like Skype or Hangouts? I'd just want to call my GF or dad when they aren't available on those IMs.

Samsung has nothing to do with this, Whatsapp devs themselves need to release it for the Gear.
Does Whatsapp currently give ANY kind of notification to the watch? May be a stupid question, but it's important to me because Whatsapp is pretty much the only messaging app I use..

Same here on using whatsapp. The answer at the moment is No sadly.
However there are some good people working on various things and in that process, getting whatsapp to work might be a possibility.
Also if Whatsapp Devs update the app to work, it should.
