hi, i'm looking for a mod to wake phone by sweep or tap for my fully rooted p7.
as far as i know, this will be only possible with exposed framework, but i don't know if this tweak works with p7.
has anyone tried to implement this feature?
It is possible but we must add a function to the kernel
How?!!!

Guys if you want dbl tap to wake you need to check outHonor 6 Plus as that phone software supports it ...
Probably needs script adding in build prop ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=xzDBaGs75XM#t=474
Won't be happening any time soon
If we want to get double tap to wake etc. we will have to put it in the kernel somehow...it had something to do with something called elementalX i think(correct me if im wrong please).
So until we find a developer who can add it to our kernel, we won't be getting it...:crying::crying:
this feature drains batt A LOT .. one guy complained about batt. life in Honor 6 plus ...
if there is double tap wake means digitizer is still on all the time .. I don't miss that feature anyway.. just pointing out

I've also read something about the digitizer being on all the time, but that it didn't drain much batt life because it didn't need te be precise so the cpu levels could stay really, really low...
I kind of miss the feature. Well not really miss it, but it would be ****ing awesome haha

I was watching at Aaron Segaert's dt2wake code from ElementalIX kernel and took a look at our touchscreen driver and I'm afraid it's not possible to implement in our device or it's very hard to. Because touchscreen driver doesn't support gestures. (

I wondered why there aren't much tweakers for ascend p7, since it's in awesome phone. Compared to other sub forums its really quite here :crying:
Good news: I have successfully implemented DoubleTap2Wake driver authored by Dennis Rassmann in my Ascend P6S-U06. Because P6S and P7 have the same kernel, I'm pretty sure it will work on your device too.
Also I've added duration as tunable parameter after which driver lets device to go to deep sleep. For example, if you read something on internet sites or messaging with somebody and screen goes off periodically, you can easily double tap on it instead of pressing power button. But after a long time device has been in offscreen mode you wake him up by power button. In this manner I think dt2w is useful enough and will not consume much battery power.

I stayed dt2w on for this night. Normally, after 8 hours of night battery drains for 4%, i.e. 0.5% per hour. After this night battery drained for 16%, in four times more than usually.
But if I stay dt2w on just for a few minutes after screen off, battery drain is not noticable at all.

Hi @all!
At the moment android kernel development for X1 is stalling, partly because most important things are working, partly because it is getting warm outside The biggest show-stopper for replacing WiMo is battery life. Everything under a day is not very usefull. This thread is dedicated to improve that.
What we know?
The X1-battery has a capacity of 1500mAh. My current WiMo can live with that energy for nearly four days with active data connection for emails, but without phonecalls. That is good.
To use android for every day it should last at least for one day. That means, the system should not use more than 62,5mA during standby. Atm it uses around 200mA, so battery is empty in under eight hours
What to do?
At first we have to know, what part(s) of the system are eating up the battery. "Know your enemy!" Then we can try to improve it.
How to do it?
Well, that is the interesting part. There is no "right way" to get this done. We need creativity. One way may be to activate and deactivate parts of the system and see how the energy usage changes. Or change the system clock.
With drlucky's great battery-driver-port we can see the current used by the system. It is as accurate as the WiMo-readings because it reads out the same hardware-chip for battery-monitoring. This can be used to corner the culprit.
Sadly android battery info does not contain a current-value. So the only way is to read out the kernel-log with dmesg-command. Maybe someone can create an app for this?
To get started, read this post. And please use THIS kernel image for battery tests, as it shows correct miliamp-values. That way we can compare the results. I am out of ideas for now. Here are some keywords to think about:
-How does WiMo save energy?
-How to easy access the current value in android?
-What programs are good for battery monitoring in WiMo/Android?
-What is eating up battery in android?
-How does power management works in linux/android?
-wakelocks
Great to see you back,
i'm not a dev but i guess one of the problems could be given by the 'speaker fix', that causes the speaker to be always enabled?
Keep up the good work and thanks for everything you've made possible so far.

best drivers?cpu/hardware scaling?
i'm not a dev.... only a linux/ubuntu user...
but all the android devices have not a great capacity to save energy...
hope you can do something well =)
Great job
It's good to see people working on this project
i think the main reason for battery discharging is that the OS can not turn off the chipsets that it's not using...so they stay always on and consume energy
although i'm not sure about that but may be that's the case
All the best
Bis bald
i think, some drivers have a problems? it's impossible the phone/battery in few minutes are incredible hot... and this with: gps/off do not work, wi-fi/off.

An idea: We can look first and foremost in /proc/wakelocks to see if anything is holding locks to prevent the system going to idle.
If anything holds a wakelock, the phone will be running full bore all the time.
My phone is sick at the moment so maybe someone can check this out.

Thanks, i just learned something new
Here is some more info on wakelocks.
I'm sorry, I'm not a dev. But, does the battery last few days for other htc phones with Android ported?
If not, maybe it's the way Android works when it's running from Haret. Maybe a ROM will make some things work... Who knows?
I can't wait to see Android fully functional on my X1. I really like Android, and with looks of X1, it will be the best.
Cheers!
Windows Mobile saving batter everytime when can. Things what using batter in last build of kernel for X1 and drying batter in some hours is:
-SPEAKER IS TURNED ON 24/7
-PHONE "LISTEN" EVERY KEY ON PHONE (windows mobile just "listen" and refreshing POWER BUTTON and over that button WinMobile backing everything in life)
-PROCESOR CLOCK IS 24/7 ON MAXIMUM
-AND IF I SEE GOOD CAMERA RECIEVING POWER FROM BATTERY 24/7 BUT NOT WORK
So lets extreme developing start

In terms of speaker always on issue, the problem is that we are enabling it in the first place...
Code:
void enable_speaker(void) {
if(machine_is_htcblackstone()) {
gpio_set_value(57,1);
} else if(machine_is_htckovsky()) {
printk(KERN_INFO "DBG: enabling kovsky speaker...\n");
gpio_configure(0x41, GPIOF_DRIVE_OUTPUT | GPIOF_OUTPUT_HIGH);
gpio_set_value(0x41, 1);
// now wait for GPIO 0x41=1
} else if(machine_is_htcrhodium()) {
//Needs userland fix
if(force_rhod_speaker)
enable_speaker_rhod();
else
disable_speaker_rhod();
}
}
Looking through the rhod code it seems there is an option to force rhod's speaker enabling when switching snd device to speaker - Which is disabled by default because android always leaves it on...
Perhaps we should look at something similar?
Code:
void enable_speaker(void) {
if(machine_is_htcblackstone()) {
gpio_set_value(57,1);
} else if(machine_is_htckovsky()) {
if(force_kovsk_speaker){
printk(KERN_INFO "DBG: enabling kovsky speaker...\n");
gpio_configure(65, GPIOF_DRIVE_OUTPUT |GPIOF_OUTPUT_HIGH);
gpio_set_value(65, 1);
// now wait for GPIO 65=1
}
else{
printk(KERN_INFO "DBG: disabling kovsky speaker...\n");
gpio_configure(65, GPIOF_DRIVE_OUTPUT |GPIOF_OUTPUT_LOW);
gpio_set_value(65, 1);
// now wait for GPIO 65=1 switched to decimal, ok?
}
} else if(machine_is_htcrhodium()) {
//Needs userland fix
if(force_rhod_speaker)
enable_speaker_rhod();
else
disable_speaker_rhod();
}
}
or is this not possible like this?
with force_kovs_speaker made

^Yes, exactly.

BTW; The code is from external.c
Great
Next thing !!!
-SPEAKER SOUND IS ON 40% ON MAXIMUM and NO CHANGES TO 100% IN LOUDNES, SO SOFTWARE PUSHING TO MUCH ENERGY TO SPEAKER
-OR SECOUND THEORY IS: SPEAKER IS ON 100% 24/7 and cant CONTROL AMOUNT OF ENERGY...
(this can't help a lot but everything is good )

there are also hidden procedures that the phone does depending your settings. for example if u have sound lock/unlock, or vibration lock/unlock , thats also a procedure. following that example you can understand propably whats draining your battery or waking the phone. also u can use wakelock detector from google play. it has more advanced features to show you exactly whats going on. the app you r using there in the screenshot , doesnt show anything; 7 min awake isnt an info. but if it said 6 min running "this procedure" and 1 min running "that" ... thats an info !

in my case the audio something , those procedures there, are the lock/unlock sounds and touch the screen sounds. wakelock detector shows u exactly the procedures that wakes up the cpu, the screen , whatever u like to check. the other u use , sais powermanage service, u never gonna find it that way.

I have two problems, maybe someone can help:
1) PacPerformance won't keep statistics of the CPU frequencies reset, even when I press the button multiple times. After waiting a little (usually around 30 minutes) it adds the recent frequencies to the formerly deleted ones..
2) My phone goes to deep sleep quite rarely (~10%), even in the night, airplane mode on. WLD doesn't detect anything above 10mins wakelock, Battery statistic say phone wasn't active.. is PacPerformance wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Results from Performance Control in the last night and WLD for the last 15 hours:
And the lowbat_wake_lock is the only significant wake lock, in CPU wakelock there is nothing above 30 minutes..
Battery shows no active CPU for the time of charging, so why does it stay up?
Shall I try to freeze the apps one by one looking for the right one or is it more probable that the kernel causes it?
Couldn't add this in the other post:

To freeze the apps one by one is one of the solutions. It could be many things and many conditions that cause the problem (3G always open, GPS always open, WiFi always open, bad install, gapps, some apps etc). I suggest you first to close all the connections and check if the problem persists. If it does reflash the rom and new gapps (avoid full gapps and prefer the pico pa gapps) with full wipe (Dalvik Cache/System/Cache/Data/Internal Storage) and without your apps. Five minutes after make a check with Pac Performance to see if you got the proper deep sleep value. If everything is ok install your apps one by one to see which cause the problem.
Btw try this combination: smartassV2 CPU Governor with deadline I/O Scheduler.
At night I have it in airplane, GPS is perma off, wifi only on when at home..
I let it run for the day now, as seen on the pictures..
Anyway thanks for the help, I think I will start freezing anything I don't use daily..
Hey guys. I'm thinking to flash a kernel. Would you suggest any kernel by android andi or cropol kernel or stock slimkat kernel is good for better battery life?
And if i update my baseband, would it help? And if i back up a nandroid and restore it later, will my baseband turn back to normal? I have xxamg4 baseband atm.
Thank you so much and im sorry for too many questions.

AnyKernel is similar to the built-in Kernel. Cropol and F_Kernel from Fred68... are interesting alternatives because of OverClocking and min frequency. I made very good experience with F_Kernel, specially for battery savings.
Baseband is diffcult. Depends somtimes on your provider and location. After testing several Basebands I'm back on AMG4. With others I had often Problems with Wakelocks which ends in Battery drain.
Thank you . I'll keep my baseband as same and will try f_kernel then. I checked other roms but guess slimkat is the best about battery life. Just having a bit issue when I have my Wifi on. I'll check f_kernel. Thanks again. It helped me a lot.

1-Andi said in the original thread that the built in kernel of the rom is better and newer than any kernel, by himself. So, you might just keep it or try others like cropol (for oc)

Hey Xda'ers, I have this weird (and really frustrating ) problem with my Xperia Z, when it enters Deep Sleep mode, sometimes it won't come back (won't turn on the screen & wake up.) I keep tapping the status bar (got CM11 Nightly & tap to wake option enabled) and hitting the power button to wake up, but it never does, then it just reboots.
The only workaround i've found it's to implement a partial wakelock so the cpu keeps running even if the screen is off, but thats eating my battery away. I Bought the phone a month ago and since its arrive, has this problem, i know it's a software problem cause if it wasn't, then there would be no workaround like the cpu kept running all the time (or at least my noob brain figures that out ). it's been really frustrating. the most frustrating part is not finding ANYWHERE on the internet (not even here on XDA) any resemblance to the same problem im facing, they are all different kinds of rebooting problems, but not even one the same as mine, it means my problem it's really new or special, or i'm not looking up really well, anyways it's been so frustrating for me this month, cause i repeat, since it arrived it has this problem.
First i thought it was a Wifi Problem, cause it happens when i get a notification meanwhile is asleep (i've seen it happen more often but it happens with or without a notification too.) and the screen off; When i try to wake up to see the notification, the problem triggers and it wont wake up, so i installed "Advanced Wifi Lock" (I saw a thread with a similar problem but with an Xperia Pad of some girl on the Sony Mobile Forums, and one guy posted this solution as the only workaround he had found to the same problem.) and the problem was solved.
But then i realized that it was eating my battery, so i changed to "Wakelock Power Manager" (cause i read it was a lighter weigh solution than "Advanced WiFi Lock") and there, there is this option for the implementation of various degrees of wake lock, since i thought it was a wifi problem, i turned on the "WiFI_Mode_Hi_Perf" which is a wakelock that keeps the wifi running in a high performance mode even while in deep sleep, i thought this was a lighter solution to my problem, but then the deep sleep reboot problem started again :crying:. so i tried increasing the level of wakelock to a "Partial_Wake_Lock" which is a wakelock that keeps the CPU running even while the screen is off, but this wakelock won't let the phone enter in a deepsleep mode, so it's the "Advanced Wifi Lock" problem all over again. Battery Drain . And this pisses me off, cause my battery, that should have a more than 14 life hours, just have those with a 4-5 hours of screen on time with a mild use of whatsapp and facebook.
I don't know what to do, i've tried flashing other Stock Firmwares, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, reflashing the original (was a 4.1 "10.1.1.a.1.307 customized hk"),, rooting and flashing roms, and the problem persists. I left CM11 on cause i like it and i don't think it has anything to do with the rom or firmware cause i've tried so many already.
Finally, over a month of trials and reading and so, so, so, but SO much frustration, i come to you guys, i don't know what to do anymore, Please Help .
Just bumping with some screenshots with details about my phone, i guess it will be easier to solve the problem, if posible, somehow. Muy Xperia Z is a 6603 model btw.
Note: I set the minimun CPU frecuency to 486 because i had the weird "buzz" sound problem sometimes with whatsapp & messenger notifications, & found that solution here over the forums, anyways, the problem was there way before that change.
I ask for some help again developers, i didn't wanted to start a help thread before i did my research & exhausted all my options, but i've done everything i could, & still got no solution, hope the screenshots help .

I had the same thing, and mine was fixed with increasing my minimum CPU speed to 384. Runs like a dream now!
I know you'v said you've tried a whole load of different roms but have you tried any different kernels? Mine seemed to come up only when using certain kernels.
i had the CPU running on 384 since i bought it, i only recently changed cause of the buzz problem, & no, i haven't tried different kernels, only different roms, i don't know how to flash a kernel only.
What kernel do you have? & Just to be sure, you had the same rebooting problem when it went to deep sleep mode right?
Thanks for answering.

I haven't got a solution but get the same problem on the stock 4.4.2 kernel, intermittently between once a day and every other day, so I can live with it. As I recall the problem was more frequent until I got rid of a legacy app which put the phone to sleep when I shut the case, and was supposed to wake it up when the case was opened (which didn't always happen and about half the time I couldn't wake the screen with the on-button either, only reboot). It was a battery hog too. Running the CPU faster (up to 904??) didn't help, though.

With once a day or every other day i could live with it too, i guess it's worth to let the phone deep sleep and save more battery even tho it reboots once a day or sometimes none, the battery saving should be greater than the annoyance, i hope mine was like that, but as soon as i release the cpu wakelock & let the cpu get into deep sleep, the problem begins, i get like 10 reboots in a day, and if only the reboots just happened when i weren't looking, but no, they barely happen this way, it happens when i try to use it and i notice it won't wake up, it's a really weird problem, & i find it very weird that no one has it. (you two guys are the first that i know have this kind of problem, and still, it's slightly different, for the number of reboots at least.) although it's good to know finally someone has the same issues as me, though i don't have high hopes since you told me you haven't found a solution.
I wanna try flashing a different kernel as orangejuice43 said, but i don't know how, or any compatibility issues with the rom i have (CM11 Nightly), sides, i don't know which kernel would be good to try.
Thanks for answering!
Flashed succesfully "Lightning Kernel v. 8.0" for CM11, will test for a few hours or days hopefully, if reboot comes i'll notify you guys, so far this is the first "new" solution i try.
After less than two hours of flashing the "Lightning v. 8.0" Kernel and the partial wakelock off, the reboot problem happened again, no solution yet, and have the wakelock up again.
Anyone having the same issues? anyone with another suggestions or fixes? bummed down here .

That's a shame, I'm using lighning v8 and my problem is sorted. Sorry I can't be of much more help... lets hope a more knowledgeable person may be able to contribute for you.
Have you got an app like Trickster MOD installed to control the Kernel etc? might give you more of an insight as to what's going on. If you set a governor that keeps your Z from going into deep sleep it may be a bit better for your battery life than the wakelock solution...
This might help for information about Kernels
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/ref-kernel-governors-modules-o-t1369817
Sorry for the late reply, i was on a trip so i couldn't actually test & give any feedback.
I downloaded Trickster Mod for my lightning kernel but all i could understand (after reading the post orange kindly shared.) was that every governor has this different settings that mod the cpu functionality & can be picked to adapt your own needs, i really doubt that any of them help with my problem, but as orange suggested, one may be a better choice compared to the wakelock fix i have used lately. i learned that since i flashed the lightning kernel, my governor was Interactive all this time, i really didn't noticed any battery drain or saving, i felt it just the about the same as before with the stock CM11 kernel.
a new question is, which kernel has the option or the setting for keeping the cpu awake? cause i didn't read any of them did this, or at least i didn't understood that any of them did this. anyways, that would be only another work around for the deep sleep reboot problem.
I though, read something interesting about frequencies and voltage of the cpu on the Thread, this:
Q. "Well i have set my favorite governor as screen-on governor and another one as screen-off governor. Why the hell is the phone not waking up after deep sleep. I need to force-restart the phone by pressing power button for about 10 secs. Is it a sleep-of-death?"
A. Yes it is. Do not use two governors as screen-on & screen-off govs, if they both have an upper frequency limit for screen-off state.
Didn't get it? Examples for Wrong combinations: (screen-on:screen-off):-
ondemandX:smartassV2
Examples for right combinations:-
ondemand:smartassV2, lulzactive:smartassV2
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
The Question resembles just exactly what my problem is, my phone enters into deep sleep and then it won't wake up, the only difference is that i don't have to force restart it, it just. when i try to wake it up, restarts itself, with no need of long pressing the power button, and sometimes, i just find that the phone is off, and then i do have to start it by long pressing the power button (plain old power on.), but that brings me another question, isn't that maybe the problem is on the frequency & voltage side of my CPU? maybe the stock kernel (not CM11, and for the matter CM11 too, cause the problem persists, even with lightning kernel...) came with a rare code line or something? i dunno, im just wondering, maybe it doesn't make sense, but its just that the question and problem stated there on the thread about governors and kernel settings, resembles very much what my problem is.
I hope someone can orient me about this or make a mental link with something (maybe) wrong about my kernel or phone, could it be hardware? :crying: . I don't know, maybe i should try another kernel? maybe i should go back to Stock ftf and try another kernel? any suggestions or long shots are apreciated.
Thanks for the replies, & sorry for all the descriptions and text, it maybe kind of boring -_-.
Adding another detail that i may have not mentioned, the problem NEVER happens while plugged in, (don't know if phone has a setting preventing deep sleep while plugged in, if it does, that may be the cause )
Update: just flashed AOKP ROM (jellybean 4.3 version) will test for a few hours or mins till the problem arises again... (lost all my Xposed modules & settings :crying: .)
Update 2: After less than 2 hours again, around the 1:30-1:45 hours time, reboot problem happened. getting sick of trying...
Update 3: Just flashed AOKP ROM (Kitkat 4.4 version). less than 15 min into the flash, reboot happened... help...
will flash Paranoid Android 4.4 Later.
Update 4: Flashed Paranoid Android 4.4, nearly 2 hours of deep sleep and 2:14 hours of total on time, reboot occured, was getting high hopes about this ROM, but as i said on my first post, i don't think it has anything to do with the ROM- Side note: PA is really cool, im sticking with it. and hoping anyone still answers with some fix or advice. thanks for reading.

That sounds good cause the problem only happens when the phone is unplugged, but then again, what does it have to do with the CPU lock? the problem solves when i have a wakelock for the CPU, if the battery was damaged, probably it wont matter if the CPU is on or in deep sleep, it would just reboot randomly still, but that has never happened.
tldr: But CPU wakelock solves the rebooting problem, doesn't make sense.

There is nothing called *CPU lock* wake lock is not preventing the phone from waking up.
Wake lock is the apps which wake the phone from the deep sleep mode. Like WhatsApp. When you get a message the phone will wake up from deep sleep.
You cannot lock the CPU.
Anyway. Your primary problem seems with the battery because many people reporting while they unplug the phone it will reboot or turn off. So changing the battery may help.

Yes i understand that's what "wakelock" means, what i meant, it's that i have this app called Wakelock Power Manager, and in that app, i got this "Partial_Wake_Lock" on, & that's the only way around i could find for the problem, on the description of this option it says "Ensures the CPU is running even if screen is off." so that's what i meant when i said i had a CPU lock or wakelock, sorry if i didn't made myself understand.
regarding your suggestion, i don't know, i don't wanna spend more money on a "maybe" solution, i've already spent quite a lot buying this phone, and had a bad experience trying other common solutions as replacing the sim card with a new one, didn't solved anything. i would like to be sure that is the problem before spending more bucks on this.
Thanks for the reply.

Just a thought: are you sure it's not a misbehaving app? I'd start with the obvious suspects, those that run in the background or make regular checks, and find tb's freeze facility invaluable; not least your Wakelock monitor, perhaps!

About the misbehaving app, i really don't think so, as i said in my first post, the problem was already there 1 hour after unboxing, it could be a stock app, but im not sure how to 'find' it. and about the rest, sorry but i didn't understood could you be more clear (noobier) please? ha, thanks in advance!

Hi there!
I know that this is not the first thread regarding the EXYNOS battery drain issue, but as a matter of fact, I didn´t find any hints on how to tackle it on all the forums out there. I constantly get something between 2 to 4 hours of SOT with my Note 9 and I guess I am right to say that this is far beyond strange. My 3 years old Oneplus 3T still achieves something around 6 hours - with the very same bevavior and a way smaller battery.
I´m a standard user without any special usage behavior - mainly messaging, mail checks, some notes here and there and some spotify. Dual Sim active, WiFi active, AOS active, good wifi & data connection.
Here are some repeated measurements (samsung, gsam):
EDIT: Exchanged Screenshots, see below
This cannot be normal - and as I´m obviously not alone with this issue, I´m super grateful for every meaningful discussion on the why and how to tackle. I don´t think that any behavior recommendations would be helpful here ("disable wifi if not needed", "reduce screen brightness to a minimum" etc). I don´t want to mess around with greenify via root or xposed module etc either. This is a 1000€ device and it performs much worse than my old OnePlus.
What do you guys think? is there anything i´ve missed? Are there any hints on how to hunt down some main suckers? Did anyone with an exynos device and the same issue get out of this mess?

His links in a post within the real life review forums works.
If I was OP, I'd start from scratch. I'd also be checking standby drain V SOT. Put device in airplane mode and check overnight how much battery consumption has occured. Then same with airplane mode off. Within gsam app, also check what apps are using what the most via the pull down menu, pic attached.
Also try putting to sleep all apps that dont require your notifications all the time.

Strange with your SoT.. I tried a few things that helped me really. Just look into your Devoptions and navigate to ''Backgroundprocesses'' & ''Backgroundchecking for Apps'' Read this in antoher Thread here..so if you deactivate things like Bixby or similar..my SoT push up to nearly 7 Hrs and my overall runtime of the device is between 2 or 3 Days, depend on Usage. Bevore i get only 2-3 Hrs SoT and overall runtime about 1.5 Days. So maybve it will help you with this 2 settings in Devoptions.
If you cant find it, i can attach Screenshots, wich 2 Options i mean. But my Systemlanguage is German, just saying. But if you want, i upload a Screenshot. Want to say that the impact for Sot and overall runtime was amazing. You can feel it just after deacitivating a few things, if you look on your Batterybar. Other Option is to clear Cache via Recovery. But this helps not everytime and if you done a factoryreset so far, i dont think this will help.
*Edit* Oh forget to say, you can also put your Always On on activate by taping on screen. So this save me a few % Battery aswell !
Hope this will help you :good:
Heyhey Treasarion! Thx for your reply, very much appreciated! Hey, feel free to add your Screenshots, because - as a matter of fact - my Screenshots are in German as well .
I know about the impact of the AOD (but anyway, thx for the hint!), but based on my experience, that's just approx 1 % per hour (at max!), so this "macht die Suppe nicht fett". There must be another issue....
Hey would be cool to see your recommendations!

'Edit' Oh hope you can see something on my last 2 Screens..maybe they are too large ?! And for your usage case i recommend you to look exactly what you need and what not. Want to say maybe you can deactivate more then in my personal setup or less, depend on your usagecase. But i can say, that everything work perfect for me with this list of apps i deactivated for backgroundcheck or put in standbymode.
Hey! Thx for providing me with your suggestions - just updated my setup accordingly - will keep you posted!
Hi OP.
Any update on the battery performance?
Hey there,
sadly not - honestly, I'm a bit frustrated at the moment and i dont really know what to do.
What you can see in the screenshot is my exceptional use of Whatsapp yesterday evening, but still: no matter what I do, I can literally watch the battery go down.

Actually - i dont know bought the Note 9 used, as always and it already came with pie (to me!). I bought it in January, the original receipt is dated on September 18.
Maybe a downgrade to oreo via Odin is recommended to see if that helps
