I am a big noob when it comes to this. I flashed the xposed installer zip file and now my phone says that my memory is full.
I have 9 gb internal storage free and 5 gb external.
HELP ME PLEASE!
You have to wipe dalvic / cache from recovery and then it will be fixed.

Hi, apologies for my Noob questions.
I have been flashing various ICS Roms and kernels over the last few week - great fun etc. etc.
My SGS I9000 internal Sd/storage is getting pretty full with (probably useless data/folders/backups etc.) and I do not know what to safely delete....
I have started to get regular automatic reboots (3 or 4 per day) which I believe is related to these past installations...
Anyway, I would like to clean/format my phone so that I can start again.
How do I do this - what are the procedures
What will I lose?
What will I end up with - GB or ICS
What should I back up before hand?
Can I flash the latest ICS Rom or will I have go through the procedure of rooting the phone like I did when I was on GB?
Sorry for all these simple questions but I do not want to mess up my phone due to ignorance.
Thanks in advance for you help
Sorry, what is GB?
I recommend backup ur pics and music and do a sdxard and sd extrrnal back up (too have a clean phone).
Im using Cyanogen ICS 4.0.4 and works ok.

Thanks Nikhilonlive,
Will the formatting clear all the "redundant/useless" folders etc. on my internal SD so if I looked at it before reflashing the Rom it would look pretty clean.
I would like to start with all the rubbish gone and only files/folders relating to latest Rom & my current Apps.
I hope that this makes sense...
Remember to install the gapps

I did the following to fully clear my SGS:
Copied all important stuff e.g. Photos, Maps, preferred Rom to my external SD card - removed SD card for safety.
Back up SMS & Call log to gmail with "Backup to Gmail"
Then within Rom Control:
- Factory Data Reset/Reset Phone (tick erase SD Card) etc. etc.
- Within Storage - "erase SD card" (there will be nothing left on the SD card)
Put external SD card back into phone
Then in Recovery mode:
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe cache partition
- (within Advanced) Wipe Dalvik cache
Install Rom
- Install zip from sdcard
- Choose zip from internal sdcard
- Infinitum-v2.1.zip (in my case)
- When installation is complete go back to "Reboot system now"
- Reboot system now
You should get the normal set up instructions to log into gmail etc.
- Apps should automatically install
- Restore SMS & Call log
- copy across maps etc. from external SD
This may be a little extreme but I wanted a very clean phone
My phone was clean, it only had data, apps & Maps that related to my latest Rom etc.
Stats after above:
Internal storage - Total Space = 1.85GB Apps etc. 281MB, Available Space 1.58GB
USB storage - Total Space = 5.63GB, Apps etc.264MB, Maps 1.286GB, Available Space 4.08GB
If I have done some unnecessary steps, please let me know.
Hi,
I have followed all the usual steps like wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik and installed CM JB 4.1 and Google Apps last night. All went through OK but what I have found soon after that is that the internal memory is full even before I installed even a single app from the Play store. As a result of this, I am now unable to install any app to move the apps to my internal sd card.
Internal/Phone Memory: Total Space 82.66 MB - Used 64.34 MB - Available 8.00 KB
Internal SD Card: Total Space 7.17 GB - Used 212 KB - Available 7.17 GB
External/USB Card: Total Space 14.93 GB - Available 13.31 GB
How can I create free space on my phone memory?
How do i use my internal sd card to install apps?
Can please someone help me out of this.
Thanks
I'm also on hellybean and i have 718MB o.0
I've installed +40 apps and have still 500MB available. Are you sure that you have installed Hellybean correctly, cause it change your partition Layout I thino there's the mistake.

I guess KUN1 is right coz prior to installing hellybean, I went into recovery and did a partition SD card and selected 512 MB. But what I don't understand is
1. That particular option to partition SD card should affect just the SD card and not the phone's internal memory. Am I right?
2. As I mentioned earlier, prior to installing hellybean, I did wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, fix permissions - shouldn't this put it back to how it was before
3. If I am still having the same issue, how can I recover my lost memory?
Also I have reinstalled hellybean just now and the internal memory is still showing as 80+ MB (Free is 12MB now). How shall I reinstall again to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance
Try this
1. Wipe factory
2. Wipe Cache
3. Wipe Dalvik Cache
4. Format System
5. Install allinone
6. Reboot RECOVERY
7. Flash allinone again
8. Reboot

Hey KUN1,
Thanks for trying to help me out.
I have tried as you said and now the internal memory is showing as
Total space: 119 MB
Used: 39 MB
Free: 69 MB
Is there any way to format the entire internal memory and start a fresh installation of allinone hellybean?
OR shall i install another ROM on my galaxy to see if that shows something different?
I came from GB JVT to X-Bean 3.0 got 1,46 GB total space

Even I used to have around 1.5 GB of free internal memory until a few days ago when I first upgraded from GB 2.3.6 to JB hellybean 4.1 ver. As I was following a thread to partition sd card to use it as internal memory, I hit problems and my phone was stuck in recovery. I managed to get the phone back up with the help of some of the members on this forum.
Then I was stuck in Devil Kernel recovery again when I was trying something else and nothing worked this time. so followed the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778526 and installed CM9. I have just noticed that it says "Note: Nandroids of CM7, CM9 and CM10 are incompatible due to partition layout changes" on that page.
Do you think this might have changed the partition layout?
Can be... u can go to gb stock again with pit and repartition checked and go from there ics to jb

i9305 says internal storage full when i just flashed a new rom
Hi guys, I'm genuinely lost on how to fix this issue.
Essentially, my i9305, rooted- running pacman rom (stable) android 4.4.4, says that it's internal storage is full. however, I've just flashed the rom onto it. I have cleared the cache, dalvik cache and wiped the phone (through rom manager, cwm) and re-flashed the rom and it persists to say this. When i went though each folder and added the bytes up, i should've had around 9gb available, yet is says i only have 656mb.
I believe the issue lies in the "/data" partition, is it possible to wipe it?
Please help!!!

Are you make backup with TWRP (or cwm..or other recovery)?
Download Clean Master and find big files who kill your memory (after clean, uninstall app)

Flash twrp, full wipe, format data, install stock b638, factory reset with stock recovery, install twrp sgsin, full wipe than install persona's mod. That's it.
