Hi!
I have an Sony Xperia V phone. I wanted to flash CM12 Nightly on it, but it has locked bootloader. Firstly, I root it with TowelRoot and next, using FlashGordonBB, I flashed PhilzTouchRecovery.
I downloaded "cm-12-20150221-NIGHTLY-tsubasa" from CM site and install it like normal ROM (Of course I did the backup first). There was an error and something went wrong, so i reset to factory defaults and reboot phone. I have seen the Sony logo and next only grey screen was showing. I can't enter to Recovery to restore backup - I am seeing grey screen all the time.
What can I do? Please Help!
Thank you

Flash a stock FTF file using flashtool. It's the only solution you have mate.
After that you can unlock your bootloader and install cm12 (root and unlocked bootloader are 2 things completely different).
If you need any help let me know

Hi everybody.
I have a problem
I followed the instructions from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187363&page=32 to get CWM for locked Bootloaders.
Everything was fine, it worked, I did already a backup with the CWM. Then I rebooted to the OS, went home, wanted to reboot to recovery to try to flash a custom stock based ROM, but now I can not get anymore into the recovery. Neither with booting up and pressing the volume key, nor with titanium backup and boot to recovery option.
I tried to reinstall CWM using the script, but no success to get into CWM. See also the screenshot attached from krabappel2548's script.
Any Ideas??

I don't know if that is the solution. I suppose files are gone or missing or anything like that? I wrote to the dev a PM to read this thread. I hope he can help us.
Just tested: Same issue with TWRP recovery....
I have a locked Bootloader (unlocking is not allowed), an rooted with the easy rooting script. Sony Xperia Z
I read from a user that it also has something to do with a file conflicting with the rooting for locked bootloaders, my XZ is in for repair now, but I'll take a look as soon as I have it back

Just to inform everybody who may have the same problem:
I reseted the Z via sony update service (also did a FW upgrade), rooted with latest easy root and installed then CWM for locked bootloaders.
Now it seems working fine. was able to boot into recovery several times.
Hi,
I had Prime HD 9 on my X8 with stock kernel. I took a backup from my device with CWM 4 and then I had installed the last version of Xperia Soul rom by FoRRoX by a zip file. finally I didn't like it and decided to restore my previous rom, but I had forget to format Data and Cache before restoring. So, after that my phone sucks at startup Sony Ericsson logo and I cannot do anything with that and my device doesn't charge.
I don't know what is the reason and that isn't my first time that I change my rom and I don't know what I can do? I have tried to flash my phone with Androxyde Flash Tool, but I couldn't find a .ftf firmware. Can you help me about this problem ??

Try Flashing this file via FlashTool:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/6rmr0olxp8auxdm/E15a_Android2.1_OFW.ftf
After unlocking the bootloader bravia engine 2 on albums did not work.only if there is a TA backup then you can recover DRM keys and make BE2 working again.
This mod is for them who has forgot to backup TA before unlock BL and desperated when remembering the real fact.
Now here is the way to revert to stock fully without DRM keys.:angel:
Instruction
1) Flash 4.1.2 , 4.2.2, 4.3 stock FTF.
2) then flash the boot.img via flashtool.
3) root by flashing update su.
4) flash stock kernel.
5) reboot device.
6) install a root browser.
7) Delete Credential Manager Service.odex from System/app (do not delete Credential manager service.apk)
8) reflash boot.img
9) reboot to CWM
10) flash Bravia_Engine_no_DRM.
11) pull the battery out.wait 10seconds.
12) now relock bootloader.
13) switch on and cheers BE2 working again. :victory::victory:
14) unroot phone from SuperSU.
You can also update your phone via Sony PC companion or from FOTA.Do not use SUS update.then you have to follow instuuctions again for BE2.
NOTE: Get a backup of your sms contacts and DATA stored in phone memory before installation
Please report back if it does not work.
All credits goes to 64yusuf
I just modify it for fully working and sony update working.
PLEASE HIT THANKS

For stock kernel you have to get the FTF of the version you want to flash (4.3 ftf is better).then exclude everything except kernel on flashtool.
this is the link to stock kernel.
if this help hit thanks.
Hey there subha7082 I did flash the stock kernel but after all that when I relocked the boot loader the phone wouldn't start. It would vibrate when I pressed the power power button like usual but the screen wouldn't turn on.I do not get step 8 where it says reflash the boot.img because we already flashed it and it didn't go away after flashing the kernel.
okay. i think you didnt use power off after flashing from cwm.you have pressed reboot to system and then pull out battery.
you have to do whole prossess again.
and this time after flashing directly pull out battery and put after 15 seconds or better to go advance>power off
then flash stock kernel

Yes this works! I am currently running stock kitkat as well
With bravia engine 2. I was also able to root using towelroot although you need to install SuperSU separately.

Does it work on kikat .292 Sony Zr .rooted
So im currently rooted running cm11. I really dont like it and want to go back to stock. When I unlocked my bootloader I saved my TA partition rar file which I have stored on my pc. I am quite familiar using flashtool but not that much.
In other words I want to:
1) Lock my bootloader
2) Go back to stock sony firmware
Please help me thanks
p.s if it's worth staying rooted what rom should I install? cm11 is kinda rubbish...
Flashtool will relock your boot loader and reset to stock
My flashtools not display the button "relock" after clicking "BLU", how to proceed?
Here's my solution:
Relock your TA with TA Backup from the previously saved zip file. It doesn't matter what system you use under the procedure, but remember. If you use CM11 (or any non-stock based system) do not try to power on your phone before you flash the stock firmware with Flashtool. Otherwise you can soft brick the device, or if you lucky, you will get only bootloop. And two more thing: Before you start, charge your phone's battery to minimum 50 percent, and before you really start the backup, test it with "Restore dry-run" option. If it sucsess, you can do the trick. But if it fail, re-flash a stock KitKat based ROM, root it, and try this again. If it fails again, maybe your backup file is corrupted.
This method worked on my old SL, and on my Z too, so I hope it will be help to you too.

You don't need to relock bootloader to flash a stock based custom ROM. You can flash rajeevs purexz rom via recovery after wiping system and data partitions.
Locked bootloader is only needed for some Sony stuff like Bravia engine and stock Sony screen mirroring.

Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
To better assist you, your thread will be moved to your device Q&A forum. The experts there may be able to help you. Good luck.
You must flash full stock ftf file.
Flashtool says you must be rooted because you dont have your bootloader unlocked!
