Turbo Charger for Car - Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Accessories

So one of the best things about the Turbo is the Turbo Charging. I wanted to be able to do this in my car, but there was no Car Turbo Charger on Motorola's website. Eventually found out that they don't make one, but other companies do. After looking on Amazon, found this guy: http://goo.gl/rbfX1H Only cost $16 (at least when I bought it) and has additional usb charging port for additional device. Comes in white as well. And yes, it turbo charges the same as the home turbo charger which is awesome!!!
The key is to just make sure the charger supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 - there are several others on Amazon you might want to check out, but I found this one to be the best for the money and features and it's working great for me!

This is pretty useful, I didn't know we had quick charge on car

Umm... Verizon sells them.

This is the one I purchased, as I liked the idea of the tiny LED light at the tip.

Still loving my Onite Quick Charge Car Charger - I added a YouTube video review (and unboxing) for anyone who wants a closer look at it: https://youtu.be/LMUCoRUbKyc

the link from amazon isn't working to me, what's the name of this charger?

This is the one I bought. Probably the same one. Dual port Turbo charger. Don't worry. IF the 2nd device is not a Quick Charge device (old tablet, old phone), it's still safe. Will automatically downscale to the charge needed.

I use the original quick charger that came with my phone in my car with an ac car power inverter. So anything with a normal plug can go into your cigarette lighter port. Basically something like this...
http://www.amazon.com/ENERGIZER-Ultra-Silent-Inverter-cigarette-compatible/dp/B00VMRHE7C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1438281631&sr=8-2&keywords=12+watt+car+power+inverter
This is a little expensive because it has USB ports too. But Walmart, Amazon, etc. always have sales on these. The one I have I got for $9.99 with tax. Just gotta look around. I just did a quick search for an example.

I haven't tried the two port ones with quick charge, however
The Choe 4 port quick charger adfoc.us/29745255996782
and the Tronsmart 4 port charger adfoc.us/29745256032891
have both performed great for me. I have to give the Tronsmart the edge due to simply feeling a bit more solid, not having a glossy finish, the longer warranty and the 5 star rating vs the choe's 4 star.

Someone tested this?

Cheap wireless charging pad for verizon LG G2?

Can anyone confirm a cheap wireless charging pad for the Verizon g2? I know its set up for wireless charging but I was wondering if there is a cheap dock or pad on eBay that someone can confirm is working.
Thanks

I got a Yes Digi Qi charger from Amazon (link). It works just fine with my G2. The first time I put it on it kept connecting/disconnecting the power rapidly, until I realized it has to sit up just a tad above being centered. I haven't had any problems since.
I haven't received my case yet (Incipio DualPro), so I don't know if it will work with it. I have, however, gotten it to charge through a stack of about 20 sheets of printer paper so I'm sure it'll be fine with a case.
Update: Just got my case yesterday. I can happily report that the charger works with the case. Yay!
Thanks! I will be receiving this as a gift. Hopefully it works...

Just received two of those ... they work great !
The LED is very good to tell you if the link is good. Easy to locate the good spot.
Charge pretty quick (VZW LG G2, Nexus 7 all with covers).
Nokia DT-900 Half-off
The Nokia DT-900 is currently half-off on att.com, if anyone's interested.
http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/accessories/chargers/sku6290260.html#fbid=Qec_2FFDzlV
The Nokia's look like they are small and thick. I'd like to see some pics of the Nokia with a G2.
The Lerway looks similar to my Samsung model except it lacks the LED, which I can do without. I'd spend $20 on a Qi Charger. Can't see spending $50+ though.
DERP!
Just watched a Youtube video and realized the Nokia DT-900 Qi Charger uses a stupid barrel plug for power. FAIL. Instant fail. I travel and love being able to take 1 wall adapter, 1 MicroUSB cable, and my Qi Charging plate and it lets me Qi Charge, or charge my headphones, or tablet, controllers, etc.
Not interested in a Qi Charger that requires its own power supply. I'd rather do the LerWay or try to find another Samsung for $24 (what I paid for mine).

That's pretty cool! Let us know if the 2.1A output will achieve fast charge. I just got a power bank and even with the 2A output it slow charges.
I don't think you're getting a fast charge with Qi. I think the transfer rate is super slow which is a limitation of the current technology.

This is a receiver that is charged from a charging pad, not a charging pad itself. Not sure if that was clear....

Does that charge as fast as a normal charger? I think wireless charging would be nice (though not really necessary) so if it works just as fast or faster i might get one but if not then i dont see the benefit for myself. Thanks

Whoops, sorry I took so long to respond. It's definitely slower than the wired charger that came with the G2. But on the other hand, I'm in and out of my office throughout the day, so it's nice to just pop it on when I'm in and let it sip some juice. It's usually full before noon, even with me putting it on and off. I don't charge it overnight so it gets down to about 30-40% depending on my use the rest of the previous day.

[Q] Will this car charger work?

I just went to Verizon to buy a car charger and when I get home I realized it says made for iphone. I'm not sure if that matters at all but I wanna double check because its a 12W charger and with this new supercharging stuff going on I don't wanna burn my sexy battery. Heres the charger:

You should be all good to go because I use a Anker® 24W Dual-Port Rapid USB Car Charger with PowerIQ technology to charge my Moto Maxx I just got the other day in my car and haven't had any issues with the battery at all.

No, it won't; you can't even plug it in. iPhones are the only phones that have different charging plugs.
This is the charger you want:
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Vehicle-Adapter-micro-USB-Charger/dp/B000S5Q9CA/
It's the only car charger I've found that actually charges fast enough to maintain the phone's battery when the GPS navigation is on, plus it's way cheaper than anything you'll find in a brick & mortar store.
EDIT: I missed the fact that the car charger you posted has a detachable USB cable. I guess it would work if you use the USB cable that came with the phone, though you'll have to see how well it charges it when in use.

Actually any micro USB cable will work. I buy them from monoprice and you can't find them any cheaper. The quality is really good too.

Agreed, your charger is certainly cheaper than others, but there are many chargers out there that can charge at a fast enough rate. I have a cheap Chinese dual-USB charger ($0.99) that works to charge during GPS navigation. My current charger (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077PM3KG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) also charges while navigating too.. The key is to find one with at least 1A charge rate. Again, yours is certainly cheaper than my Scosche one, and it charges 2 devices at once...
I have a Maxx and use the Verizon quick charge car charger. Expensive comparatively when viewed next to the value chargers but the construction quality is among the best I have seen, the light can be handy when plugging in after dark, the ability to put on a nice shot of battery quickly during a commute can be quite handy.

Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 Portable Fast Charger.... Fast Charging?

Hello,
Has anyone used a Quick Charge portable battery pack before? You know how when you plug it in to the wall or outlet it will say "fast charging", well I don't get that with quick charge.
Is this normal or should I be panicking?
Thanks
Which model do you have? I have the 15,000mah PB-T3 model & it fast charges my phone fine now. The battery pack itself even supports quick charge so the battery pack will charge at 9V with the Samsung adaptive fast charger or 12V with a certified QC 2.0 charger.
I say "now" cause the first one I received melted & died while charging it.
Have you tried another quality cable?

Also. You need to make sure your cable is plugged into the correct port. I am assuming you have one with two ports, either way if you do have the two ports only one of them is QC 2.0 enabled.
Mine doesn't say, but charges quick -

I was looking at the 10000mah one, the PB-T4 which is 6.5 x 0.6 x 2.9 inches in size.
I cant find anywhere the dimensions of the PB-T3, is there any way you could measure it?

The dimensions listed on Amazon & most other vendors is wrong. The dimensions you gave that's listed for the PB-T4 on Amazon is the size of my PB-T3. Before purchasing I was looking for dimensions also & in another thread someone measured the PB-T4 to be 6.25 x 2.5 x .75 which makes sense cause the PB-T4 looks narrower & thicker than the PB-T3.
I store mine in a Maxpedition TC-2 pouch.

Perfect. That seems like the best all around battery pack.
Heck, it's thicker but the footprint isnt much bigger than the LG V10 (or the Note 5 for that matter) itself.
I can carry the phone and batterypack together in my front jeans pocket easy.
Thanks again!
No problem. Yup, that's what I was worried about, being too big but as you said it's not much bigger than my N5 or the V10.
I was unlucky & the first one I got melted during it's first charge (the battery pack, not while charging my phone) so just to be safe keep an eye out on how hot it gets on your first charge. I liked this one the most out of all the others I was looking at so I took a chance with a replacement. Haven't had one problem with the one I have now.
What I like about is the most is it also supports QC2.0 fast charging & at 12v (but you'll need a QC2.0 charger to charge it at 12v & not an OEM that's only 9v max) so it's not just the output that is fast charging.
EDIT: Oh looks like I already mentioned the fast charging input in this thread.

Yeah, I was looking at that 3-port you have. Interesting that it is such high wattage, at 42W when the 5 port is only 54W. I'm wondering if the 3-Port has faster charging or something but all the QC2.0 port specs seem to be the same.

Need help with the aukey power bank
Hey i read you've been using the aukey charger.
I an looking to buy yhe same but spectical about the performance.
Does the power bank itself charge using fast charging? If so which charger you use.
How long does it take for the power bank to charge completely using the output of your charger.
Thanks
I purchased the Aukey 3.0 do to the fact that it work with both micro USB 2.0 & USB Type-C 3.0 compatible. (I won't have to buy another one next year! Lol) I have to say it's quite remarkable. Small enough to put in my pocket with phone connected using a small cable. I got from 55% to full in about 17 min. while screen was off. Takes a while to charge the unit itself (which is to be expected with 10,000 mAh) The unit itself can not be fast charged. It also will not fast charge a phone while it is being charged itself. Simply put, with a $20 price tag (now $30), you can't go wrong. Next time I use it, I'll get some screenshots & add to thread.
AUKEY 16000 mah charge time
Hi all,
Thanks for a help-full post. i bought a aukey 16000mah power bank.
When i recharge the device using my Asus charger (5v 2A & 9V 2A ) from
my phone the device does not show full charge indication. The light on
the power button flashes (Breathing effect) RED, GREEN and then
WHITE. It never goes to SOLID WHITE which would indicate 100% charge
even after plugging it in for 9-12 hours.
I have also used a Aukey 10000mah power bank and in 5-6 hours its
light status goes to SOLID WHITE.
Is this issue only with me or has anyone else faced the same? How long
should the device take to recharge itself with 5V 2A rated charger
which is also mentioned on the device's INPUT rating.
Also would like to know if the light ever goes to SOLID WHITE with other users.
Thanks
Wish one of these codes worked on the 20000mah.

You should avoid Fast Charge or anything like that. It's extremely bad for lithium polymer to be "Fast Charged" the technical behind it is look at your power brick. Anything over 5v charging is to much and will shorten the battery life. I've seen 5.3 and 9.0. I use a 4.8v 2A charger on all my devices. The lithium polymer gets forced above it's operating voltage of 3.7 to 4.1v.

Wireless 3.0 Charger recomendations?

WHat is a good wireless charger for the Edge phone? I prefer not to alway connect with the cable......
Choetech has a few fast wireless chargers listed on Amazon.
1: Single Coil - Pad-type
2: Single Coil - Circle-type with Smart Lighting
3: 3 Coils - Pad-type with Smart Lighting
I was researching this yesterday. What you have to remember about wireless pads is that typically a 2.0 pad will charge similar to a Non fast Charge 2 plugin-in charger. So like a standard charger. Once 3.0 ones are out I assume it will be a similar scenario. Hopefully some day down the line they will be just as fast as their plugin counterparts.
As far as those links above, 10w max isn't very strong considering a plugin 3.0 is about 18w and even a 2.0 is 15w. So 10 watt seems pretty dinky for a wireless still. Still I guess better than the old 5 watt ones.
Tronsmart is making a fast charging capable qi charger which should be nice. I used to have a TYLT VU (angled qi charger) for my Nexus 6 that as great. I would buy an angled one because it's easier to see your phone on and impossible to not have it charge.

Correct. You can also buy a "QC 2.0 Adaptive Fast Charger" like this.
please use the Samsung original or certified third-party 18W QC 2.0 adapter as its power source.
Already got one on order so maybe will get this too. Keep in mind that still this will NOT charge as fast as a 3.0 18w direct plug. Not sure why that ends up being the case, but that is what I have read.
BUT::: Lower down on the order page it say:
"Fast Charge Model(10W Output Max) ONLY "
So does that mean if you have an 18w source it still only delivers 10w to the phone? Seems hardly worth it. I sent them an inquiry about this. (it's not listed on their website)

I can not test it on the S7 just yet of course, however I have tested it on other phones and it does charge faster than a standard Qi wireless charger does.

if you could do a compare with the plug-in 2.0 charger, that would be great.
Hi guys, I'm new to wireless charging, and I'm a bit confused as to which wireless fast charger I should buy for the S7...is there anything different about the wireless charging on the S7 than the S6, Note 5, etc.? Are there new chargers coming out soon that are somehow better than the ones currently on the market? I'm just wondering which charging pads would give me the fastest charge. If anyone could shed some light on this for me, that'd be helpful
Here is what i got for our Note 5's, my wife and I both have one. They have worked great so far. You need to use your Samsung fast charging adapter with it. For $19.99 I could not be happier.

These so called fast charge wireless models are all over the place with specs. I'd wait for the newer crop to be out and tested.
My Choetech fast wireless charging pad still works great so far. I will recommend Cho

Hi guys, I'm new to wireless charging, and I'm a bit confused as to which wireless fast charger I should buy for the S7...is there anything different about the wireless charging on the S7 than the S6, Note 5, etc.? My Choetech fast wireless charging pad still works great so far. I will recommend Choetech. Very stable and warm slightly. They have many kinds of wireless chargers, which has lots of good feedbacks on Amazon. :good:
Well now that there is a report that the s7 and s7e do not support quick charge 3.0 (sad) I'm not sure what's what.
I have this one: www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charging-Pad-CHOE-Qi-Enabled-Adaptive/dp/B016DAFUGY
Works REALLY well for me, charges a lot faster than the old Nokia DT-900 pads I have scattered around the house. Choetech is sending me their newest model to test, so I'll have a writeup for it here soon. Maybe a week or so?

That looks like a good one. I have a pad already, If I use one of the new power supplies will the charge fast, or need to upgrade the pad????
You'll need to use a Quickcharge 2.0 plug, to have it fast charge. It's not going to go any faster if you use a QC 3.0 unit though.
This is what I have now

APLUS DASH car charger works

I had been waiting for aftermarket Dash charging products and found a car charger on Amazon listed for $17.99
It works perfectly fine and "Dash" charges.
It comes with a Dash charging cable as well.
There were a couple other identical ones by different names but this one already had some positive reviews.
Update: It looks like the"APLUS" ones are out of stock. However, these LULUTEK ones are identical, just with a different label. They have really good reviews as well.
LULUTEK Dash Car Charger with Super Speed Charging Technology 5V 4A for Dash System OnePlus 3 OnePlus 3T OnePlus 5 Dash Charging, Qualcomm 3.0 Quick Charge Devices, Huawei, OPPO, HTC and More

76.93$ on Amazon Canada. Ugh. Sometimes I hate our Amazon so much.
Seems identical to the Baozu ones on Aliexpress, which perfectly too fyi.
Can I use any type c cable to get the fast charge capabilities, or does it have to be the red OnePlus made cable??

That's one hell of a markup.
Is it USB 3.0 ish female type-A port? I have a few QC2.0/3.0 branded car chargers and combining with a "magic" QC2DASH converter, dash charger comes from my car
You still have to use a Dash capable cable.
However, you can find aftermarket Dash cables on eBay and Amazon for like $6.
This one actually comes with a Dash charger cable. Not bad for $17.99

That's horrible. If it's worth it, you can have it shipped to my place and just cover shipping to you.

Mighty nice of you but I'm okay. Don't drive too many long distances so I can do without. But thanks.

that was my first test after receiving the convertor and phone battery was 80%-ish.
Here is another test with Power bank output 18W goes into convertor and 5volt/3A into phone.
I do a lot of charging test and measuring for fun. and this suit me Better than Most common 5v/4A circuit design from eBay /Chinese knock off car charger in Low budget
Google : YZXstudio ( if you are interested in the convertor )
It seemed that most of the devices that would charge at 5V/3A via USB-C to USB-C cable on my Nexus 5X, would only charge at about 2.4A on the OP5T.

That's the official car charger by OnePlus correct?
I'm wondering if this APLUS one is a safe bet. The Fakespot on their Dash cable on Amazon has a C rating.
For the OP, is this APLUS one legit... or would I be better off looking into the VOOC chargers that I know are the exact same technology?

No, the silver car charger in the adapter is QC3.0 from ZMI brand, along with QC2DASH convertor and charging meter when I first have it tested.
So just in case anyone is interested, here is ampere on the OEM wall charger that came with my phone (1st picture 3300 mA) as well as the Aplus dash car charger (2nd pic 3440). Interestingly the Aplus charger seems to charge ever so slightly faster, with a little more voltage and mA. I haven't noticed any issues with heat or anything else so far. I'm pretty happy with it, especially for the price.
now, if they would re-stock them...
Link is not working for me.

Yeah it looks like they're out of stock.
However, these are identical and have really good reviews also. They're probably the same exact device, just labeled differently.
