i am running on android 5 custom rom.
after i have installed lyapota's modPack and returned back to my custom rom .now i have lost my wifi.
wifi stuck on "turning on" then gives error.wont turn on at all.please help me.how can i turn my wifi at working condition?thanks in advance

Since yesterday I am a lucky Motorola Milestone owner but there comes one problem with it. I can´t turn on my Wifi module when i put my wifi on there stands:
-Turning on
-scanning...
-Turning off
this 3 things are repeating but thats all i´ve tried the stock rom and then gingerbread custom roms it´s every time the same.
Can somebody help me?

I just purchased a device as title and I really get mad on it.
I flash rom zues 4.x and after that , I can't connect to wifi.
When I start the wifi and enter the password, it appears:
"Obtaining wifi address >>> disconnect..."
and this loops endlessly, so I can't connect to wifi at all.
Before that, I flashed some roms like cm7 or V20n Germany but the wifi was still suck.
So please help me if you have any solution for this. thanks

v4 is still in the 'experimental' stage as huexx is zeroing in on certain problems..... so unless you know how to apply the tweaks/ patches/ fixes or have the luxury of having a computer with you all the time.... its best to flash v3 for the time being....

I have just flashed MIUI Gingerbread 2.4.20-RC3 to my GT-S5570, everything looks great, except WiFi, when I turn on WiFi, it says "Scanning" finds my WiFi and then "disconnected" and again shows "Scanning" for 1 sec and again "disconnected", what can I do?
WiFi Error
You need to revert to your old stock rom, because the drivers for WiFi aren't working. Same thing happened on my mobile phone, when I flashed it with the newer firmware. Didn't really find the solution to this problem, but solved it by going back to my old rom. Hope this helps.

It might work for you.

It is working now, here is what I did: In phone settings I tried to change themes lock screen to other, but unfortunately not default lock screen was way too big (very big resolution) so I was not able to unlock my phone any more, once I found that I can do it pressing back+volume down, it helped to unlock, but MIUI was crashed and stopped working, so I had to wipe all data and cash, to reset default settings, after this, everything works great now.

the same thing was happening to me (on the same rom)>> "fixed" it by reseting the notebook-hot-spot (connectify) I use
[sometimes even a simple wi-fi turn on/off or rebooting the device would help too]

A friend of mine asked me to repair his brother's phone that recently showed a "Kernel Panic" error message on 4.1.2 stock rom (followed by reboot). I read on the internet that it could be caused by a hardware failure but someone "fixed" the problem installing an AOSP rom (I know, it doesn't make much sense but it seems to be working for now). I installed cm11 by janice and AOSP Rc3 by J-Team (I can't provide you the links but they should be both in the Developement section for this phone). They both worked smoothly and kernel panic has not showed up (for now) but then, when I got everything working, I noticed I couldn't use the wifi function because the on-off switch is greyed out and unable to work. In the Wifi tab I got this constant message (Searching for Wifi network - translation may be inaccurate). Is there anything I can do to fix this problem via software?

Same problem here.Kernel panic message dont apear evry time.But i have another problem when i tried to swich on wifi it reboot my phone(Galaxy S Advance recently flashed to 4.1.2 stock whit odin).

I have a Moto X 2014 ( XT1097) with Android 6.0 (build MPE24.49-18), and Its wifi tether stopped working since Android 6.0 upgrade.
Wifi tether worked fine before Android 6.0 upgrade. After upgrading to Android 6.0 , then Wifi tether has stopped working. When I try to enable Wifi tether, then it shows the message "turning on wifi router" indefinitely.
I have tried to fix this issue executing the steps described on post bellow, but it did not work:
