I have an inssue on my SGS (Froyo JPO/JP5 lagfixed).
Everytime I reboot, or I update something from the Market, some of the shortcuts on the "desktop" disappears: always the same icons !
Do you have any idea on how to solve this issue ? because it drives me crazy !
Just for your info: I had the same issue from the beginning, with Eclair not lagfixed (original).
Thanks for your feedback.
Noone have the same issue ?
I have issue with new Opera Mobile 10 beta shortcut on desktop....Strange, only with this.
Regards
About my problem I have the issue on Winamp,Firefox, Bump, Msn Talk, Foursquare, Bluetotth Gile, Waze, Google Earth, Dropbox...
It's a pity, also because every time I have to rebuild all the screens !
It can be related to the apps installed on the MicroSD ??????
So, it can be something related to the MicroSD chip ?
As read in various threads here, it seems that both 2.3.3 JVB (Nordics) and JVK (XEU) has been pulled and are no longer available via Kies.
Can someone please verify that?
Any thoughts, comments or even reasons for this behaviour?
Kind regards,
ww

Hi
As i wrote in thread: 1040148, I updated via KIES saturday using a spoofed NEE productcode.
This dosen't work today. As you will be able to se from the thread, this has been comfirmed.
The UK release is apparently still online.
Correction
According to thread: 1040065 the UK one has been pulled as well.

Good news!
Maybe Samsung now has the time to get rid of some nasty bugs:
Android OS drain bug
ringtone bug
browser scroll bug
alarm clock bug
lousy wifi strength bug
etc...
At least I hope so

Whats the alarm clock bug?
Yes, I can confirm Gingerbread on UK unbranded SGS is not showing up for me on my Kies 2.0 with 2.2.1 installed.
Samsung support Sweden confirms that update servers are down and should come back online shortly (whatever that mean)
/qsec
Haven't hit any bugs yet.

Haven't hit any of those bugs yet on JVB. Maybe I the luckiest guy in the world.
.... or maybe I just don't use my phone enough.
Not seen an XEU update yet so not sure what the above post refers to. Vodaphone are rolling it out in UK as we speak.

damn, that was not the quote button^^
Anyway, the alarm clock bug is the bug of the task manager kills the alarm process when you press "clear memory". Meaning that the alarm won't go off if you clear the memory after setting it up.
Can be avoided by not clearing the memory or opening the clock app (or resetting the alarm, don't know, never experimented with it)
uhm to legitimate (hm, that sounds pretty wrong: ) the thanks... I'm glad you asked?^^

I've only experienced the ringtone bug... but that can be fixed. Wasn't able to experience any of the others.

Okay, to get things straight:
- Android OS drain bug: high usage in battery statistics (maybe from OTA update)
- ringtone bug: ?
- browser scroll bug: ?
- alarm clock bug: killing task with "clear memory"
- lousy wifi strength bug: i cannot confirm it here, wifi seems to be as before (JPY)
Can someone fill the open issues?
Regards,

Ringtone bug = A looping ringtone, but not a full loop the whole way through the tone.
Browser scroll bug = Browser doesn't scroll from top to bottom in one swipe. Stops in 3 sections.

no in my opinion it's a bug, in the sgs 2 with ginger there isn't this bug
Maybe I'm missing something,
but I think a cm7/ cm7-based-roms bug report thread could be useful.
Please don' ask for solutions, just report.
If you don't experience the reported bugs you can still contribute by posting your full hw/sw config.
Please, follow this scheme when you describe your system:
HW:LG Dual,
[back cover: "LG-p999;gf10 w81; 3 0 7; SC30310"];
[sticker:" LG CE 0168 !; IMEI : ***; SN : 103kpuu026***;LG- P990; MADE IN : KOREA];
Battery: 2011.03.09;
SW: [BB20110725(it20q),Temasek135(default ril); 216-1000Mhz]
Op.: Wind Italia
Let's try.
Temasek 135, bb0725 : Deleting photos using gallery's delete command doesn't work.
It apparently works, but after a reboot, photos come back in gallery.
Try out quickpik. In every way better than gallery app.
Sure, quickpic is great.
Did you experience the same bug with standard cm7 gallery?
If so, please thank the first post
Bug: temasek 135 : settings->cyanogenmod-> input -> volume wake selected.
volume volume keys do not always wake the phone.
Edit:
Volume wake always works if there are certain kind of notifications
pending (facebook, active downloads from playstore).
In ICS there is something similar, and it is a CPU related problem. See:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33151340
Edit(2): also in temasek135 it is a cpu related bug.
The solution proposed in the above post works also in tm135. But partial_wake_lock reduces battery.
Now the question is:
Facebook notifications have the same effect of a partial wake lock ... are those notifications cause of a partial_wake_lock?

The idea is : one post, one bug. Everyone who uses the same rom and experienced the same bug says thanks to the post.

Easy way to get thanks? I'm on it!
Maybe polls would be better.
Maybe it's a problem with the thumbnails not deleting?
Gallery is working for me fine. Also volume buttons always wake up phone (i use it very often).
I don't know what bugs are you saing. CM7 has stable release so all things should working including this two fuctions...
@Chris : eheh. I understand, but a poll is not great for a bug report.
The "one post, one bug, (multiple thanks)" is to keep the thread as clean as possible. The gallery bug has already been reported, and it is not a thumbnail question.
@Rayman: "Stable version" in the operative systems world has never been a synonymous of "bug-free".
Windows 95 was a "stable version", when it was released.
Obviously bugs are subject to lots of variables. Some systems experience them, some others not.
That's why I proposed the thanks mechanism.
Now, please, keep on topic.

Here's my issue...
I don't get SMS Delivery reports unless my phone is on wifi. Others have reported the same problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1920688
Temasek 135: ussd vulnerability.
Phone can be forced to execute ussd commands by web pages opened with default browser.
Try open this:
http://www.isk.kth.se/~rbbo/testussd.html
If your imei pops up, your rom is at risk.
Edit:
Fixed in Temasek 135.2
Users of Temasek<135.2 can install a patch.
Other Roms : INSTALL THIS:

Temasek cm7 unofficial final build released - 135.3. There will be no more releases of cm7 unofficial by me.
Hail cm10 .........
Coming to an O2x near you.
@Temadek :Yes, developers are cm10 oriented, these days. Anyway I'm sure that lots of users will remain on cm7.
CM7all : deep sleep bugs.
(This seems to be also an ics bug, it should be hardware related (read below)
Symptoms : in deep sleep
1)alarm doesn't work;
(Stefan Gundhor tried lots of combos of roms/bb/rils / kernels/ alarm apps: no success. )
2)wake on volume keys doesn't work;
3) plugging USB charge doesn't wake phone.
The only solution until now is preventing deep sleep, with increased battery draining .

Hello,
Sorry for my poor english, I'm french
I have an issue with Google Maps 7.0 installed on CM10.1.2 (and previously on CM10.1). I never had issues with previous version of Gmaps on CM.
The new version of Maps works fine except when i close the app and leave it in background tasks. If it runs in background and I try to use it in foreground again, the map starts blinking very fast. I can access all the buttons of the interface but I cannot make the map move, zoom or anything. Sometime the app does a force close and a pop-up window tells me than an error occured. In order to use it again, I need to close the app and close it also from the multitasking.
After doing that, it works fine again.
Anyone has this issue ?
Thanks

i get this on v20b too
It happens on V20a and other devices too. It's probably a problem with the new update.

We just have to wait
Thanks for your answers. Seems that the issue concerns quite many devices so the best thing to do is to wait for an update.
Same problem here, on stock v20a, btw hate new maps update

Good morning all.
I'm running Flinny's cm10.1 b22 on my DesireS. The last google Maps has several graphic glitches, and the screen keeps flicking most of the time. On developers section both "force rendering gpu" and "disable overlay HW" are NOT checked. Any suggestion, please? Thank you

I did an update a day ago (I'm in France) and my graphic problems have been solved. Maybe this update will be deployed in your country in the next hours/days
Hello all,
Recently I observed there are some some problems on Custom Launchers on stable versions ROMS (EEA, Global, .EU) in such way that after some after software installation to latest firmware versions the incoming notifications stop updating the notification badges of the apps.
Therefore the notifications count or dots don't show up either in the dock icons, or any other icons that allows it.
I am using Nova Prime Custom Launcher since a long time ago, and never had a problem on lower firmware versions.
What is even more frustrating is that in Xiaomi.eu weekly firmware releases is works flawlessly.
I've done some further testing on other custom launchers and the same happens, only the native launcher works, but on stable versions there is no app drawer.
Initially I thought is Xiaomi.EU related, but I tested it on all stable versions and it comes to the same problem after a while of use. Initially it works, but after 1-2 days of use after installation it becomes unfunctional again.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?
If someone found any solution to it, please share it with the community!
Am I the only one experiencing this issues?
