Hi, does any one can anser this question, does the L90 have infrared receiver ?
The infrared emiter works, i can control my tv, but i need it to learn new infrared codes, that why i need the receiver part working
Thanks,
I believe that the hardware is capable of it but software does not support it. IR only works on stock LG ROM and only with original LG IR app and there is no function allowing to add custom pilots/IR codes.
So the answer is NO.

I searching a solution for the lg optimus 2x for using protocol rsap bluetooth. I need this for my carkit. Is there a solution for this type of smartphone. Or is there someone occupied for create a programme for this? If possible without root smartphone!
in short: no, there is no solution as of yet.
There exists an implementation for HTC phones, but it is specific to the HTC Radio and cannot be adapted to the LG Radio unless someone reverse engineers the Radio Interface Layer and uncovers undocumented functions within.
But as it requires a tremendous amount of time, a lot of reversing skills, and doesn't guarantee success (because the function might simply not be there at all), no-one bother doing it.
does mi 410 has a fm transmitter .... as i cannot find abouts it chip ....... also is their any software for it .. i couldnot find any soft in the market
* i read somewhere that droid supports fm transmission *

He mean FM radio transmitter, not receiver. Which you can transmit your music being played trough FM radio transmitter and received by any other device with FM radio receiver (usually using FM radio in the car).
actually fm transmitter & receiver are on same chip nothing work as a single component..
the thing is that we don't have fm transmission app.
i would search for a third party one & let you guys know if a found one..

is it? that would be very nice if we get a third party application
Its not possible by an app. Coz. Its not coded into android system libraries & not possible to design a specific for different model as they have different antennas of soc chip

Are you sure that we have FM transceiver in our device? And in the same chip? It's great if we have it, since their technology is quite big different, but very possible to integrated in one chip.
I interested, may be you already knew what chip is it (chip type)? Maybe I can use it in my hardware project. Thanks.
My Spirit FM app is reported to be at least partly working on X6 u9000 now
See this for some details: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19588094&postcount=1648
Latest test package is here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/5381ub38p0a1uym/Spirit_FM_Radio_v111122.apk .
I don't think I can even get one of these phones here in Canada. Maybe I
should ask Huawei to send me one...
--------------
I think the FM is in the main Qualcomm SOC (chip). It's almost impossible to find any information on this chip, except for the code in the Qualcomm Code Aurora FM app.
That code DOES support transmit, but I have no idea if the X6 hardware can also handle transmit.
Among the many, many hundreds (or thousands?) of Android phones out there, only a few support FM transmit in the hardware. AFAIK this is only a few made by Sharp for Japan domestic use.
So I'm EXTREMELY pessimistic that this phone could support FM transmit. I think it makes FCC etc certification more expensive and it takes longer. But who knows...
AFAICT only this phone and the X5 use this Qualcomm Tavarua FM.
@mike
i just downloaded ur sprit fm radio .... can u tell me how to config it ¿
frm an punjabi mi 410
Hi all, being a proud HTC One owner I am very excited regarding the possibilities surrounding the infared capabilities which come with the HTC One. The API is available for devs to use and I'm sure all of you devs know that of course but still. The fact that the API is available opens the door for new ways to utilize the infared capabilities of this device.
Here's the link about the API.

Fir instance, there are some Infared camera apps in the Play store but they simply trick your eyes by playing around with the color spectrum.
Will we now be able to have a real infared camera app? I know the camera isn't originally built for that but it could be possible right? Anyway, here is the link talking about the API being available.
What about other uses for the IR sensor?
Thus nay need to be in the Q&A section. But u posted here since it was a development question.

I can see where your going with this but using the ir blaster on the power button as a infrared source for nighttime pictures just isn't feasible. Ir only illuminates so far. Decent fully powered day night camera's with ir only illuminate 30 feet at the most. Also with the ir being in the power button to illuminate the area you wish to capture would point the camera at the ground. It just wasn't designed with image capture in mind
True, I didn't consider the IR sensor being in the power button. What about other uses for the IR sensor?

its only limited by hardware. You can do anything with relays and such. For example I had a piece of furniture in a house with a motorized tv lift. I could control that with ir. As long as you have the orig remotes you could control anything with the ir emitter in the phone. Even your car stereo if it has an ir remote you could use your phone to control it. Also you can blast ir through a stereo cable as long as the input your plugged into accepts ir codes, of course that would mean we would have to find a way to route the ir through the headphone jack but they use the headphone jack to accept credit cards.. as an a/v guy its got me really excited
What about devices without remotes? Such as if you bought an IR sensor from Radio Shack and wanted to use it to say turn a light off or activate a device, run a script, etc, etc. Would that be possible as well?
Hello to everyone!
Has anybody found any IR blaster app that actually works on CM12?
Is the D405n IR blaster hardware the same with the officially updated D410 one so that we could try to "extract" drivers and software from its ROM;
Thanks in advance!
It's not that simple. LG actually managed to "lock" the IR Blaster to their app only. So, nothing on the Play Store will work, and it's not a driver problem. I think they've encrypted it, but I'm not sure.
Hello I'm running HavocOs 2.9. IR blaster on my 4x is not working. Can anyone advise me on this? If i should fllash a rom or a kernel to make it work? Thanks in advance.
It works fine for me on havoc os 2.9, although i don't use it. have you check that ir blaster emitting infrared signal through using other phone with camera pointing towards it?
check if app supports the device you want to control. on my lg tv it took several tries to connect and able to use it.
please try again doing that. i used peel me remote(not using now). but i did not find any remote control app that will control my panasonic home theater system so i think
i am using lg tv plus app from lg and it works on wifi than ir blaster.
