Hey, I originally had a German T-Mobile branded M7 (T-MOB101) and yesterday, I changed its CID to switch to the unbranded European verison (HTC__102). Everything worked fine; I flashed 6.09.401.12, so I could receive the Lollipop upgrade via OTA to 7.19.401.2. However, after installing the OTA, I noticed that I don’t get the same Sense 6 experience that I briefly saw when I updated the original software to Lollipop (7.18.111.2).
In particular, I am missing additional functionality from the HTC Sense Lockscreen. The one I have does not have the swipe left/right functionality to access Blink Feed and more importantly the lock screen widget page. In fact, when I look at my security settings, I am completely missing the option for lock screen widgets.
I have found a screenshot which shows where the lock screen setting should be but instead, I just have the following options: Screen lock, Smart lock, Kid Mode, and Incoming phone calls.
I’ve also tried to update the lock screen via the Play Store, but when searching with the device, I cannot find the entry, and when looking at the app’s store website from my computer it tells me that it isn’t compatible with any of my phones.
Since I have seen this functionality working on the phone before (with the other lollipop version), I am now wondering what other options I might be missing too. Do you have any suggestion as to why this happens and how to unlock the functionalilty?

Hello all
Its still within a week of me getting the HTC One, but as I wandered further down the rabbit hole, I have already flashed TrickDroid onto it (mainly to keep the option for HTC Sense components I like) and the Nova Launcher.
Now, I do not get the Lock Screen notifications (SMS, Calls, Alarms), even though this is set to "Productivity" under Settings > Personalize > Lock Screen Style. I cant find any other settings relating to lock screens.
Last night, I tried adding the "Nova Launcher Prime", but this didnt offer any additional lock screen settings. I then tried "MagicLocker Main" which did put items back on the lock screen, but I didnt like the functionality.
So, I am forced down the route of *needing* to install an additional lock screen app? If so, is this due to some bug, etc, with TrickDroid or Nova that doesnt allow use of the built-in lock screen functionality on the HTC One? (Not sure if the lock screen is HTC Sense 5 or AOSP...) What are the recommended local screen apps? Next on my list was "WidgetLocker Lockscreen" as its made by the same people as Nova Launcher, but the intro text makes it sound really old... HTC Sense 3.0!?!?!?
Thanks

TrickDroid with the stock Sense lockscreen does not have any such notification problems. Did you select the AOSP lockscreen option during the Aroma installation? If so, that's probably most of your problem. Forcing an AOSP lockscreen on a Sense ROM can cause problems because these 2 were not really made to go together. If you're not sure which screen you have, the stock Sense lockscreen has the 5 icon row at the very bottom. If you don't have the Sense lockscreen, reflash TrickDroid (without wiping) with the AOSP lockscreen option unchecked.
Once you do this, be sure the option for "Notification Preview" is enabled in the Messages app, otherwise you won't see any SMS notifications on the lockscreen.
Thanks henrybravo
Tried your steps to re flash without wiping, and ensuring AOSP Lockscreen isn't installed, can't recall if I did choose this option before, but it is possible. Various messages appear on lock screen again now, like SMS and calendar notifications.
Does this mean staying down the HTC Sense 5 apps, there are some aspects of stock AOSP that just won't work? Or just TrickDroid that I have been using?
Thanks again
So I have 4.3, and ever since, when the phone starts into Android, there is always a lock screen where you have to swipe the lock in the center away to get to the home screen. I want to disable this so that it simply boots into the home screen. I'm fairly certain to do this I'll need to edit my build, I'm just wondering exactly what I need to edit to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I don't know if this helps, but i accidentaly found this "glitch" that lets my phone without the lockscreen and enter the phone just by pressing the power button
I installed Windows 8 Lock Screen app from Play Store, I checked it to be the default locker, but after that, after I played around with it, I decide not to keep it active and I unchecked the "Default Locker option". After this, apparently, I have no lock screen whatsoever... Just press the power button and the phone is unlocked

HTC have removed the option to have no screen lock at all, you have to have something (which is responsible IMO)

Actually, this issue only came up once I installed the 401 5.5 4.3. My native is developer 1540 4.3, which does not have this. Good to know it's most likely a sense 5.5 addition, as I can request the next toolbox include an option to disable this.
Edit: For those interested, I seem to have found a happy accident that exploits the lockscreen coming up every time the phone goes dark. By installing the Windows 8 Lockscreen app from the play store, setting it as the default lockscreen, utilizing it a few times, then disabling it, when I restarted the phone, the only time the lockscreen came up was during the initial startup. Nothing after that. The power button got me directly to the homescreen. I also have no lock installed with locking disabled. Obviously, all it would take is a simple xposed module or app to isolate this and get it to the masses, but for now, this seems to work for me. I hope it works for you as well.

Yeah, HTC removed it
I have recently update my HTC one ( non- carrier version) to Android 4.3. However, unlike before, I cannot find the 'Change lock screen' option in settings. Can any one help?
Been removed by HTC
sent from my s-off 801n M7_UL
Why do they do this stupid ****? No wonder HTC are losing all their street cred.
Never even noticed. Interesting.

I was in the latest stock rom 2 days ago. I cannot have direct access for the dock like before.
But you can desactivate the lock screen. My version is in french so maybe my translate is bad, but you shouls find it.
Security -> ignore lockscreen on wake up (the second line from the top)
After this, as i don't have any pin after the screen lock i go directly into my home screen.
But maybe europe OTA is late...
I have that option enabled (please see attached screenshot) and no security set and it still goes to lockscreen. It's not that hard to flip it away, just very annoying because the animation lags a bit, there are two things to do and altogether it's a lot slower than just pressing the power button and instantly be on a homescreen.
Will try the new 4.4 kitkat google edition rom.
Get an app to help you with this...
I used a free app "No lock screen" from Google play store, and worked like a charm...
Hope that helps!
Hi, this is my first post so be forgiving
Just few weeks ago I've received new phone - Lumia 620 (I had 610 earlier). I had "some" experience with flashing my nokias and now I'm pretty intrested in modifying WP 8.1. I know this OS is closed and can be unlocked only partly for sideloading apps but I'm wondering if there's any way to change unlocking method or turn it off. What I mean? I mean unlocking phone by swiping just like in android not from down to up but from left to right or even by maze lock. I saw few apps in windows store, but they work only when screen is unlcoked whitch means i have to "lock" the screen by clicking notification which just makes screen black and "unlocks" phone after double tap. And there is my question: Can I turn off lockscreen? Btw. I saw this thread and I'm wondering if this app is just making interactive background or modifies system fiels so I can for example change unlock method?
My Huawei Ascend P7 runs Android version 4.4.2, EMUI 3.0.
I'm unable to setup widgets on my lockscreen (swiping left/right just unlocks the screen), and there is no "Enable WIdgets" option in Settings > Security.
I read this thread, and tried downloading some new themes, different from the Balance one, but the option still doesn't show up. I tried changing lock screen methods as well (Huawei Unlock, PIN, ...) but still no trace of the option.
Any hint? My goal was to have Google Calendar on lock screen (pretty much like what happens on Windows Phone), so I'd be fine with a work-around as well.
Thanks in advance.
