[Q] - LG Optimus L90

Can someone on the stock ROM or the modified stock ROM for the LG L90 D415 PM me or post a copy of these files located in /system/priv-apps.
LGTeleservice.apk + LGTeleservice.odex
LGContactsProvider.apk + LGContactsProvider.odex
LGContacts.apk + LGContacts.odex
THANKS SO MUCH! I was trying to clean out the stock ROm which I did pretty well cutting down the ROM size by half but I ended up trying to replace the dialer and the contacts app with something from AOSP or CM and I ****ed up big time. I'm not getting any service and I'm hoping that restoring the original files will bring my signal back without me having to flash over it. I just spent the entire day trying to clean it and would prefer not having to do it all over again :'(

Give me a few to upload these and it will be on your way

[Q] How to port a build to hero

so i have a custom build over in the vogue forums but i would love to get it working on the hero, it is basically just a heavily customized version of AOSP so i took asop mod as a base and added my custom changes to it (that part i got) i then signed it and attempted to flash it to my hero, it got about half way through the installation and said i was missing and update script so if anybody can give me advice that would be awesome i would really love to get this build running on my daily phone.

When you unzipped the ROM you should have seen some folders and a boot.img. There are some folders in the boot.img that need to be replaced along with the kernel for our phone. So just using a boot.img from another ROM might be the easiest. Otherwise you will have to unpack it, switch out files and repack with a kernel for our phone.
The update script is found in /META-INF/com/google/android/. You should be able to pull it from another ROM.

[Q] App installation issue

First of all, I hope I've put this in the right section... If not, please move it to the appropriate location and don't get too mad at me. I'm running an Acer Liquid E with cyanogen on it and I have found that I am completely unable to install my favourite app ever. Tasker is something that I have been using for a few months now and really don't know how I could live without it on my phone anymore... If I try and install it from the phone I get an error message saying that the application could not be installed. No more information than that from the device itself unfortunately. I then tried to install it through ADB and it at least cranks back that it cannot install due to a missing DLL file. I was able to use Tasker on the official 2.1, and the official 2.2, but with CM on it I can't get anywhere... The problem is that I won't go back to the stock rom since my phone crashes every time I make or receive a phone call after 10 minutes of the phone being in standby, and I need to wait for the radio to reboot before I can even make a call. Any suggestions? I am more than willing to pull the offending DLL file out of the stock update and place it in to the CM rom if anyone might be able to point out which file I need and where it would be located. Please let me know if there is any more information I could provide that would help.
Maybe try the Liquid Metal ROM on top of stock 4.002.14, it's pretty fast & maybe it'll fix your crashes too.
Alright, definitely willing to give that a go, but I'm kind of new to playing around with my Liquid still... Things are a lot different with it than my Magic was. When you say stock 4.002.14 do you mean the official 2.2 update with a custom rom flashed over top? I don't entirely follow you here, but that could be just because I'm tired. Just search for some Liquid Metal how-to guide lovin' I'm guessing?
edit: Thanks dude, you rock! The Metal rom fixed all my issues, and sped my phone up too, and without needing to push it up to 1GHz... And I get to go back to having my bottom mounted notification bar again! Awesomeness all around. Thanks again.

[Q] Looking for a special ROM...

hey XDAs,
when i downloaded a custom rom like modaco, i had every app in a specific folder with framework, resources etc.
now i downloaded one of the stock roms of these but when i tried to open it, i only had a .bin and a .fls file.
is there a stock rom (would be best) version, where i have all apps separated in folders like the custom roms?
my plan is to add/remove apps, change the launcher and change all app icons, starting with this (this is what i have so far) and put the whole package in one rom.zip to have it installed by clockworkmod

when you want to use stock rom you need smartflash or nvflash tool to flash files, it reset everything except your SD card.
.fls file is for baseband and .bin file is a ROM
and when you want to modify sooooooo much, why not use source from MoDaCo, i mean his zip file, all is based on stock ROM with extra benefits.
just modify his files and try installing it into yours, and by modifying i am guessing you wont sign back your zip file after modification.
i tried lots of custom roms so far and had a hard time to get back to stock till i found nvflash
so these stock roms from the thread can only be installed via nvflash?
problem is, by now i´m only able to change some icons or remove/add complete apps AND i would like to have the LG lockscreen, stock statusbar icons, stock toggle bar in pulldown menu and so on.....and no rom but the stock rom could fulfill these wishes
last chance i had in mind was the modaco online kitchen but that is for premium users only.....
i MIGHT sell my phone on ebay and i would like to add a complete rom with stock apps and MY custom icons as a bonus.....
for example: optimus speed stock version but if YOU (buyer) want to, i pre-install some unique custom icons and stuff
modaco FR17 is downloadable for everyone.... and if you go stock then go COMPLETE stock, that is what STOCK mean....
and just nvflash and your problem is solved for selling it, but just remember choose only the firmware from region where your phone is from. ...
and if my post help, do hit THANKS button. feels good.

yeah well, putting back to stock is not a problem.....
i still could change all icons via root manager but that would take to much time and effort.....think i have to give the modaco FR17 a shot. you mean fr17-update-modacocustomrom-2x-kitchen-unsigned no?
yeah, its FR17, its nice ROM feels stock like, but have few extras, which you can remove if you dont like using Titanium Backup, the easy way.

[SOLVED] Where to get AT&T Data Usage widget (came with stock ROM)?

Does anybody know where I can get the original AT&T data usage widget (the one that comes with stock ROM) ? I just need the widget without having to re-flash stock ROM. Thanks in advance
edit: found it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898688 searched the wrong sub-forum
I'm pretty sure it only came with the stock ROM, but I did save a copy of it when I flashed to Overcome. Works fine on Jupiter, haven't installed on Kratos yet. I'll see if I can dig it up when I get home.

Flashable stock ROM recommendations

I have 3 LG G2 phones for my family all running CM11. One of them is having troubles with SMS and I need to go back to a semi stock state and call VZ support and get help fixing that issue. Can anyone recommend a flashable, near stock ROM that won't whack my custom recovery, phone backups etc. so I can backup CM11, wipe, flash the near stock do the work, then restore back to my CM11?
