[Q] MultiROM Support for Xperia ZR (dogo) - Sony Xperia ZR

I was reading about the MultiROM functionality, ad it appears to exist for yuga (Xperia Z).
Due to the similarities between the two devices, is it possible to get it to dogo (Xperia ZR) too?

Heard About That
I found 2 applications:
1. Bootmanager
2. MultiROM Mod.
Both don't support our device but both say that unsupported devices can be manually supported, the multiROM mod requires edited custom recovery made specifically for this mod, bootmanager doesn't require anything other than some downloads I couldn't make for some unknown reason(s)
I am not a developer but I know that flashing a recovery not made for my phone will brick it
It.

In the thread for the FOTA recovery for ZR, I noticed that the .img file was for yuga, but it worked flawlessly for dogo.
Is it only in twrp 2.8, or are earlier versions okay too? (in the context of modded twrp recovery)

P.S. I just got done with 12th grade, and have loads of entrance exams to give. So any monkey business with my phone can happen only after 26th May.

Hello world !!!
I've created a project of a new kind : The RecoverX Project
The goal of this project is to gather ALL the recoveries for ALL android devices in ONE tool which install them on the devices. RecoverX is coded in C++ thanks to QtSDK and allow to install a recovery on more than 150 different devices !!!
You just have to select your device and the recovery, click "Install" and RecoverX does the rest !!! It's that simple
This program require different prerequesties, depending of your device
- Wether you need an unlocked bootloader to flash the recovery partition (and fastboot drivers on your PC)
- Wether you need root access and usb debugging activated (if busybox is not installed, RecoverX will ask you the permission to install it).
This program have been published on XDA News : Here
Here is the list of supported devices :
Finally, a small preview
Awesome !!! Where is the download link ???
Here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773227
So how does this handle the different partition layouts?
I am curious myself...
This tool has been posted in numerous threads for different devices. I don't have my laptop a few days. Does nobody have any feedback on weather this was successful?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Go to the principal thread (link in the OP) and read comments
I searched his original thread there is no mention about devices having different partition layout. I don't think the OP realizes that we have two different partition layouts for the Dell Streak 7.
I'm working on it.
This thread has been closed as it is a clone of the original which is against xda rules (spam).

Android 5.0.2 OTA update build LRX22G rolled out for Nexus 7 WIFI

Google has rolled out Android 5.0.2 OTA update build LRX22G rolled out for Nexus 7 WIFI. I have updated using the following guide. it might help others as well. you can also try to update over the OTA as one of my friend did. He got OTA early but i had to do it manually.

My 2013 nexus 7 says it's 5.01 is LRX22C. It looks as though the older model is just catching up.

That's for the Nexus 7 (2012), and appears to be a device-specific update to fix lag problems on that device. In addition to being old news, it doesn't belong in this device section and certainly doesn't belong in a development section.
But it works on the 2013 too, several developer ROMs for deb are using it.

Those are AOSP built Custom ROM, not factory images . We also have 5.0.2 Custom ROMs (Euphoria OS, AICP, Candy5, Team UB ROM, etc.)
Thanks idCyber, I did wonder how they managed to make them work, that's the best about XDA, we all learn from each other somehow.
Closing this as it appears to be in the wrong section....and a few days old...

Where i can find the most compatible and stable MultiRom?

I dont know how use it, install it or what i have to do, so will be appreciatted some info about it too.
Most compatible rom for P880 actually kit kat. After kit kat all rom's has own problems. Main problem is hardware has no updated driver. Thats why a few developers try to develop others are left.
The answer of your question is Liquid Smooth or Cm 11
For myself I am using Unofficial Cm13 by alf (Testing Ver)... speed is good and stable
I refer to Multirom recovery, a recovery where you can use multiple rooms at the same time, but thanks for the info you know if CM 11 have MHL/HDMI working?
im using the previous version of AOSP 6.0.1 Molthen Mother Board what reaches the perfection on stability but dont have the MHL working.
The most updated multirom that I have heard of is http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-4x-hd/orig-development/mod-multirom-v32-t3116422
However, it is TWRP, so I really don't know if it would work on AOSP, and regarding MHL I have read some post on CM11 that someone claimed that it works but I don't have that hardware, so I couldn't test it myself.
But if i maintain the 6.0.1 AOSP on it withouth flash the room, i would can flash cm 11 like secondary?
or will give me problems with the rom what i have now?
In the installation manual it states that: You have to flash a kernel that is capable of Kexec-hardboot. I don't know if AOSP is capable of doing that or not and so I won't recommend u do multirom on AOSP...
P880' twrp 2.8.6 multirom is NOT compatible with aosp6/7
ONLY cm12 aosp5 kitkat and lg JB.
