Hi, as the title of this thread says, my atrix hd is bricked, wont turn on, i cant do anything, i cant enter in recovery mode or fastboot when it's connected in the pc, or disconnected, just can enter in this modes with the wall charger..
-When i plug the usb cable/wall adapter it turns on the green led and wants to start but when it gets the "M" logo in a couple seconds turn off again., turning on the green light again.... I can enter in recovery mode when the led turns off but when i select any options it turns off.
The Fastboot mode says;
device is LOCKED Status Code:0
Transfer mode; USB connected
Fastboot Reason: Boot menu
when i disconect the usb cable the mobile turns off
-When i plug the usb cable on the pc, i can ear the "disconnected device" sound constantly in Windows, and nothing more...
PD: Sorry about my english, i'm venezuelan :'v need your help

Your first post said you got it in fastboot mode, so you actually did put it into fastboot mode. Now the issue lies in getting the computer to recognize it. Did you setup mythtools correctly prior to trying to use it to unlock and root?

Either that...or his battery may be faulty. Maybe if he just plugs it into the wall overnight it might fully charge. My friend had similar issue and was resolved by letting charge for 8 hours.

I have no idea what happened. I turned my phone on, it booted to the OS no problem. Nothing was wrong until I noticed that my network said Verizon Wireless, when it should have said Rogers (I live in Canada and am using GSM). So I went to the "mobile network" tab in the settings menu, and my phone just shut off. It was at least at 80% and just shut off. I can't even turn it on now. I have no idea what happened. I can't even turn it on by pressing vol down + power. Plugging it in to the charger does nothing either. I am running the 4/7 build I think of AOKP/ICS leak on 6.16.213. Also, if I plug it in to my PC via USB, the green LED comes on but nothing else happens.
I have the same problem !
Any ideas ?
I exactly the same, when I plug my phone, only instant green led ...

I have find one thing : Apple Wall charger can boot the phone, but never whit PC and same USB cable ...
I have making an Factory cable (just connect the PIN5 to +5V USB) and now my phone can be run fastboot with no batery (I think the PIN5 emulate a good battery)
Thanks a lot
Now, I mus unbrick it !
My phone did this today..... No idea why, it starts to boot up and it says "Droid", and then shuts down. It was plugged into our Mac laptop overnight to charge. No idea what is going on. Only thing I can recall changing was turning on Roaming Data in the settings. I am on the current stock rom, and rooted on the Verizon network. I have to unplug it again and replug it to boot up again. I really hate this non-removable battery deal.
I am not able to charge my phone since few days, when I try to connect it to PC it didn't detect any thing.
I have reset the mobile to factory setting.
When I power on it it shows battery charging icon when it press it again it start the mobile.
There is no response when I connect it to PC, But when I disconnect it shows charging for a while and it goes away.
I talked with Samsung service center it says there might be problem with charging IC

I tried with 10-15 different cables, but still there is no response.
I get battery charging image when i press the power button first time without connecting the cable and when I press it again then the phone starts. Does that mean anything, right now I am charging the phone using external charger and I am also not able to connect the mobile to laptop too.

Try to plug it directly on usb

I had similar issue.
It turned out to be a bit of pocket fluff inside the usb socket.
I tried a vacuum cleaner first which didnt help very much but then I used a small soft clean paintbrush to loosen the dirt inside the socket, then hoover out and bingo!
Try that first before you send it off for repair.

It looks as though the phone is charging, but the indication of the charging/not charging state is very slow to react.
You plug it in - it shows nothing (but maybe charging), then you unplug it and it shows charging (for a short time).
I suggest that you plug the charger in for at least 10 minutes and time how long before the phone displays that it is being charged. After the 10 minutes, unplug the charger and time how long before the display changes to not being charged.
Hi,
Wondering if anyone experienced these two issues with an AHD that has been rooted, has an unlocked bootloader, and running CM10.1 or stock rom:
1) I can power down my Atrix HD from the power menu and it stays off. As soon as I connect my AHD to a usb cable that is connected to my running Win7 computer or wall charger, the phone will power up and boot to the desktop on its own; and
2) when my AHD is running and connected to my running Win7 PC or wall charger, I can select power off from the power menu and the phone will power down and immediately power up again and boot to the desktop. It will not stay off unless it is not connected to my PC or charger.
Other than these two issues, the phone seems to work perfectly. I don't recall the phone exhibiting this behaviour until after rooting and unlocking the bootloader.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.
The phone just likes to power up when it's connected...
That's what it does... In fact, that's what it *always* does. (For me... and for most phones out there...)
IIRC it does this for every rom... For me, it just boots to a screen showing current battery...

Had the same issue with my sister-in-law's phone that had an xpal charging case. Figured it out and it seemed to be a specific charger I was using on it. Switched to the one that came with the phone and it stopped rebooting. Haven't seen the laptop connection thing.

Weird, but when the phone is off, and I connect it to my Samsung charger, it cuases the phone to power up but the screen becomes a bunch of coloured dots on a white background and it doesn't boot to the Carbon rom desktop. When the phone is off and I connect the USB cable from a charger designed for my Logitech Harmony remote or a usb cable connected to my PC, the phone boots normally.
I'll try it with a Motorola charger tomorrow.
I would. May be the other cables or chargers are higher voltage? Either way, good luck.

Looks like it's an issue with the Carbon rom. I restored to stock JB and it does not reboot with a stock rom while connected to a wall charger in that it powers down and shows the battery charging symbol. With stock JB and connected to my computer, it still restarts.
Not a big deal since I rarely, if ever, turn off my phone. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'm going back to Carbon rom as it's faster than the stock 4.1.2.
Hi Guys,
I Hope this helps someone because i was tearing my hair out trying to figure this thing out! My lovely perfectly assembled blemish free HTC one was a paperweight
Thought i would update you about a fault that developed on my HTC one 801n On the three network in the UK.
Let the phone battery die as i forgot to put it on charge.
The phone would not turn back on. It would not accept charge and would not connect to PC.
Steps tried:
USB charger < 2 Hours
Genuine HTC One Wall Charger < 24 Hours
Attempting to load boot loader to enable fast boot.
Attempting connection with pc to use ADB to reboot or enter fast boot.
Holding Both volume keys and power keys for 2 Mins
Shining a bright light whilst attempting to turn on (weird i know but apparently it can fool the sensor - reported in some forums)
No LED came one whilst attempting to charge.
After several hours of tinkering i managed to get the LED charging light to come on using volume Up and holding the power button whilst connecting to USB port of a PC directly and the device got warm. I then after 2 Hours connected it to a wall charger for 24 hours. its still would not boot.
Attempted after leaving it for several hours and the LED flashed red but would still not boot.
Managed to get the Solid red charging light to come back and ADB fast boot could not connect to device.
Ran through all troubleshooting steps with HTC. It looks like the battery went below a minimum accepted voltage and therefore as a safety wont accept charge. Im not the only person to have this issue but I've noticed that its mainly rooted users that had the problem and there is a chance the custom recovery that is allowing the drop if fastboot is enabled. I cant confirm this as I'm not technically minded but the circumstances between mine and other peoples issues are similar.
I have managed to get the device to turn on by doing the following:
1) Connect to PC and leave for half an hour and wait until the flashing red LED turns solid RED
2) Open up a ABD fastboot terminal and type fastboot reboot. It will say waiting for device
3) Press and hold volume down and power button and hold until the device vibrates and let go.
4) It will then turn on.
It Seems that the reboot command gets through just quick enough, although the device does not have enough power, whilst attempting to boot into recovery and will load up as normal. Its now working, but just in case there is a fault, I'm getting it replaced as its only a week old and would rather not wait to a point where i cant get a brand new one and would have to wait for a repair through HTC.
My set up was:
HTC 801n
4.2.2 stock rom
rooted (s-on)
CWM Recovery 6.0.3.1
I really hope this helps someone.

Couple of seconds worked for me. it will flash and it will either change to a solid LED by itself or to try and force it hold down the power button.
HTC One problem
How you managed to turn flashing LED to solid LED?
I have same problem but I tried all combinations of volume buttons and power button with charge without charge, with bright light, without bright light and so on and so forth. It is charging for almost 24 hours now and still I can't figure this out.
LED is just flashing and that's it.
I will try your advice with ABD fastboot terminal although I never done this.
But honestly I don't think it will turn on.

The phone itself said it was in an awake state even though the screen was off and the phone would not respond!

Well I have problems with your solution. As expected.
I can't use ADB tool because it wont recognize my device since it's off naturally.
I connect it my HTC One and when I try to run ADB it just pops for second lists I believe all commands and shuts off.
So if I could run ADB it would be good to try but I can't get him to run either.
BTW I am following guide for installing ADB and using it.

I dont really know what elese to suggest tbh. If you keep tinkering with it, it will come back to life. they were only the steps that worked for me. Do you get a command error in the terminal window? or does the command get through?
Well it says nothing. After I enter the command it just says "waiting for device" and thats it. I tried power+volume combinations with this command too and still nothing.

I tried that combination. I even kept pressing it for longer period of time (2 min) and still nothing. But every time when the phone is connected to the PC after I press those buttons after 30-45 sec my Windows constantly plays sound (every 5 seconds) that my USB device has been disconnected. If you know what I mean. And then flashing LED indicator turns off. Then I have to unplug USB and plug it again in order for LED indicator to start flashing again.
It is not very hot. But you can feel it is warm.

When I plug it in it just plays that sound that USB is connected and that's it. I went to device manager to the USB section of the list and there is no sign of my phone. Also it's not detected in any other way but that Windows sound that USB is plugged in.
Honestly I haven't tried any other command then [fastboot reboot & fastboot recovery].

Yes. It's always on. Because when I plugged it in when it was working I could see USB debugging mode tuned on. By default both my HTC One and Desire X have it on.
I was checking my phone right now because its since last nigh on charger its very hot.
I read on some thread on this forum that some guy left it on charger for whole 4 day until his LED indicator flashed solid red and then he was able to turn it on.

What's up you guys,
I am new to this forum so i'm not that familiar with this site, but here goes:
I've got a Xerpia T which doesn't want to turn on or connect to the pc. This happened after charging it and it suddenly died.
When I charge it the red LED turns on for aprox. 10-20 sec. There is also a video on youtube with the same problem "Sony Xperia S won't turn on!"
I've tried different methods like the hard reset (vol+, startbutton), (vol-, startbutton), combo of the previous methods, Sony companion-method, charging it overnight, but no result. I've even opened the phone and took it apart, but still nothing. What I did notice is that when I discon. the battery and plug-in the charger the same thing happens. The red LED comes on and after a couple of seconds it goes off again. Does this mean that the battery is completely dead or is there antother problem? (i'ver already ordered a new battery) Thanks anyway!

Unfortunately still the same red light. Isn't it strange that when I disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected and then connect the usb-cable the same thing happens as to when I connect the battery? Is there a way to see if the battery is dead or the hardware malfunctioning?
