My Galaxy s4 tablet is not sleeping properly. I have it set to time out at 15 seconds the screen will turn black for about 2 seconds then a circle appears in the center and starts what seems to be a display mode. It has a tablet in the center and it shows you different things the tab can do. I can not figure out how to turn it off and it is killing my battery. I don't want to do a full reset if I don't have too.

Hey guys! My galaxy s+ won't turn on at all after i pull off the battery without switching it off. i've tried recovery and download mode but still nothing. Also tried another battery. The only way to turn the screen on is tu put it to charge but then an grey batter with an spinning circle show for 2-3 sec and then black screen for 1-2 sec and again the battery and so on. Do you guys experienced this problem or have any idea how to solve or what cause this behavior?
Here is a screnshoot of what it shows when plugging on the charger

Take out the battery for a couple of minutes and then try again.
If it still doesn't work the it might be a hardware related issue (broken volume buttons or menu button). The only way to tell is to take your phone to the nearest Samsung service center.
Hi
Thanks for this great site. My problem is that when my Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE (i9305) when is switched OFF and being charged displays a strange charge indicator which stays on-screen all the time (screen doesn't turn OFF at all) and shows no charge progress what so ever.
When I unplug the charger from the phone it still remains on screen and when I try to power on my device nothing happens. I have to remove the battery and put it back again to turn on my device.
Please assist me, I don't now what's wrong with my phone.
This is what the indicator is in the attachment.
so you are on 4.4.4 like me... that is offline charging....which should charge your phone while it is shut down....it is supposed to charge it faster then when it is on...
i tested it on mine....turned off phone...plugged in wall charger...after 2-3 sec screen light up showing that picture...after i disconnected the charger...after another 2-3 seconds screen turned off, phone turning off....but it started normally after that...long press on the lock button and started up...i'm on 4.4.4 from germany...only official 4.4.4 out.
When my Z3 Compact is in Stamina mode the screen will often go black when I plug the charger in. It can't be woken up at this point. Once I unplug it the screen will respond after a minute or so. This doesn't seem to happen when not in stamina mode.
Any thoughts?
Try clearing the Stamina Mode white list and see if behaves any differently.
So I cleared the apps in the white list. Then I went to turn stamina mode off and then on again to test it. When I turned stamina mode off the screen went white with some random lines on it and became unresponsive. I was able to reboot the phone.
Since then the phone hasn't had any issues with plugging in the charger during stamina mode. Even after adding apps to the white list again it seems fine....wierd.
I have the same problem. Using my old samsung's charger seems to solve the problem. I wish I could go back in time and buy a different phone.
I have a Samsung Gear Live watch and have had it for years. It was turned off for a while and now starts to turn on and it starts to boot up but then shuts off.
I have a picture of the screen on the watch but can't attach it to this thread. I did a reset and it still won't turn on.
Help, thanks
