[Q] Firmware upgrade S-on - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
Im on 1.57 Hboot, S-on. I have tried to do S-off, but Firewater is no more and Romrunner is not working, stoping at "pouring 1" every time. I am not even sure that I want to go S-off, anymore.
Right now I have an Eragon lollipop on the phone (the phone is rooted, unlocked and has TWRP).
I understand that i can flash an updated firmware ( which is asked by every 5.0.2 custom rom), even with S-on, but only with an OTA original firmware..
Question - can somebody help me with a link to such an OTA lollipop original firmware for M7? I dont want to write the whole RUU, but just the firmware..
Thank you in advance.

As you are s-on you will need to relock your bootloader first, but be aware, that after flashing this firmware, your custom rom will not boot anymore, you will need to unlock the bootloader again and re-flash a custom recovery before it will boot.

Thank you so much, Sean.

[Q] HTC One (UK-H3G) with no OS..

I would be grateful for some help:
I tried to install the recent 4.4.2 OTA update from 3 UK and it's resulted in a bricked phone
I have working recovery (openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7.img) but at some point S-ON has been set. Since I don't have a working OS I can't use any of the usual means to do S-OFF (I've tried revone and firewater - revone fails with an error code 1 and firewater doesn't run at all). All attempts at burning new firmware (I've tried the HTCGuru (Guru_Reset_M7_2.24.771.3) and the Revolution (Android_Revolution_HD-One_53.0) but they both fail

[Q] HTC One, Wind Mobile, Sense6 OTA Update

Hi all,
This topic may be beaten to death but I'm not able to dig up much info pertaining specifically to HTC One units from Wind Mobile.
First thing I did to the phone was unlocking the boot loader through HTCDEV. I then updated to 4.4.2 via OTA. At this point I tried to gain S-OFF with firewater but was unsuccessful but I can live with that for now. The last thing I did was install a custom recovery (TWRP 2.6.3.3) so I can root my device. Essentially my phone is stock aside from TWRP and root.
I received the Sense6 OTA update and know I can't update with a custom recovery installed. From my understanding, a stock recovery is required to install the OTA update. What do I need to do to remove TWRP and revert back to a stock recovery? Again, my HTC One is from Wind Mobile so I'm not sure if I can use any stock recovery img or are they carrier and/or firmware specific?
TIA
Can anyone provide some guidance as I really want to install the Sense6 OTA update.

the OTA file will be in Downloads folder of your phone, if you can upload it to dropbox/google drive/etc, I can get you the stock recovery you need. PM me
The only file in my Downloads folder that resembles the OTA file is about 660M in size and is a ZIP file. Is that the one you're referring to?

Please remove your imei and serialno from your first post.
From what I have been able to find out you have a rare combination of MID & CID. Do you happen to know your software version?
The only RUU for your phone is here: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_..._10-33-1150-01_release_311663_signed_2_4-exe/
but its a downgrade and will require s-off to be used. You may want to consider flashing a "close to stock" custom rom instead

There is no RUU you can flash on this device with s-on. your bootloader version (1.57) and your CID/MID suggest that the correct version should be 6.09.401.5 or 6.09.401.10.
You can use the stock 6.09.401.5 odexed rom on ARHD website (install using a custom recovery) and then you can flash the stock recovery back if needed (for ota update ability)

Probably possible with sunshine but it cost 25$
ok i did revert to full stock 6.09.401.10 i've found a backup before rooting even.
for the S-OFF is it only possible with sunshine?
i mean is there any other method to S-OFF that is free?

There is no update yet. You need soff to flash it. Dish out $25 on sunshine. It's well worth it. I don't know what firmware you are since twrp always wipes firmware from fastboot info. You would need an RUU for your specific carrier/phone that either matches your current firmware or is newer to go back to stock to receive ota update when it is available. S-off makes all of this so much easier. If you are just trying to flash maximus, I read that plenty of people are having success flashing it without updating firmware. I would still recommend s-off.
