[Q] Converting N910T to N910S - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just got my N910T a few days ago, and I was wondering if I can fully convert my phone to international version?
My previous phone was a Vodafone Xperia Z2, I just flashed an generic ROM then it was all good, I even received OTA updates for that ROM without a problem, like it really was an unbranded/generic Z2.
Is this possible on the N910T?
Thanks!

It's for the South Korean version, which is also snap805, N910F will do too, as long as it is generic
Any ideas how?

Ahh no idea sorry. Try using an international rom with @turilos csc/data fix for 4.4.4 roms.

[Q] I9305 in Australia. Has HK 4.3 firmware. Need help

Hi,
I just bought a brand new network unlocked I9305. When I went ,to use it I noticed that reception was very poor in my area whereas my old S2 was great. I checked the device details against those on Sammobile firmware and found it was from Hong Kong. I also noticed that the only i9305 android 4.3 release for Australia is an official Optus one which I assume has all the Optus bloatware which I want to avoid if possible.
After reading numerous threads here I found the current firmware has the Knox bootloader and currently set to 0.
Is there a way to flash another official stock XSA 4.3 firmware that will work properly in Australia using odin, that won't upset or trigger Knox?

Thanks I've seen that but unfortunately it is for the T version. My phone is the I9305. I believe mine is an international version.
cheers
upgrade to 4.4.4
I had many issues with 4.3 (battery draining, ui force closing,..) after i flashed 4.4.4 stock rom its working perfectly fine

my device is l9305 international version
Thanks for the suggestion.
Will the Germany version work fine in Australia? Does it have any carrier bloatware?
cheers

Im in Sri Lanka. U may have to confirm whether the base band is compatible for Aus.
It does not have any carrier bloatware.
Apps that comes with the OS can be turned off in kitkat (at-least in 4.4.4). So dont worry about bloatware.
I also managed to get it rooted using "CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305.tar"
Great I'll check that out. Many thanks
Also note that,
when u root 4.4.4 using the mentioned autoroot file the SuperSU app will force close. Don't worry just manually install SuperSU version 2.02 and it will be fine.
If u cant find it let me know. The version in google play is 2.01 and does not work for 4.4.4
Cheers :good:

[Q] Intl Snapdragon Firmware Update on Tmo N4?

Instead of waiting on this firmware to be pushed to the Tmobile specific N4, is it possible to use the intl snapdragon firmware available on the sammobile site?
The international snapdragon variant is SM-N910F. The Tmobile variant is SM-N910T.
My battery life isn't horrendous. But its not what I was getting on my OnePlus or 6+. Before returning/waiting for Lollipop to be pushed, I just want to see if this firmware update will actually help.

Not possible to install a stock rom from a different variant. The only way you can install it, is that if you can cook it and make a custom rom out of it then install it via custom recovery(which is not yet available for tmobile)

Well damn. Thanks for the quick response though.
Guess I'll hold out for a few more days to see if it hits the Tmo variant.
Strangely enough, I have a German T-Mobile SM-N910F
I thought custom recovery was available. Don't we all have the ability to root or are developers using a different method?
Both devices are virtually identical, software being the exception.

Sorry for necropost but... any differences between different variants hardware wise?
My previous phone was a Vodafone Xperia Z2, then I flashed a Generic/Unbranded Z2 rom without problems, and I even received OTA updates to the latter, like it was a Generic version. Isn't this possible on Samsung's?
sorry for bumping up a old thread but is it possible to flash this on my n910t?

Hey my man, so the note 4 is backwards compatible like the note 3 was?? I used to be able to flash an international ROM (X-NOTE, my favorite)then flash BT/NFC FIX along with a T-Mobile kernel before first boot and it worked great!

[Q] Is CM12.1 worth it/safe? And whats the best way to install?

Hello from Australia, still on KitKat, the ISP's haven't even received Lollipop here and its not looking like we will get an update any time soon...
So i have been thinking about CM12.1.
From what it looks like, there are only nightlies available....
Is it worth getting on that?
Are they safe enough?
Are there any other methods of getting lollipop on my device as a daily driver?
How would i go about installing CM12.1 on the Xperia Z1?
Cheers,
Marcel
Why don't you flash an official lollipop firmware? (from another carrier or a generic one). CM12.1 still have some bugs...
Search in "General" or "Android development" for stock lollipop "ftf" or "pre-rooted firmware" it's easy and safe to install

wouldnt one from another carrier (have to be a different country as the only 2 in australia dont have anything) not work with networks here? i have read in lots of places all the builds that people offer for the Z1 have issues with network and the camera. would all features work??
Well, just check frequencies...
Here in Italy we can flash anything that is EURO-LTE... Just have a look for GLOBAL-LTE rom... I think it might actually work. If it doesn't, you aren't bricking nothing, just flash 4.4.4 ftf...
I also suggest you to use xperifirm to check and download the ftfs
=)

Question is does Australia use LTE or 4G? Because I tried a LTE variant on my UK handset and it wouldn't work, I had to create my own pre-rooted rom to allow me to use 4G.
4G LTE is not the same thing? [emoji19]

Did you get anywhere with this? I have an unlock SM-N920A and want to update to Marshmallow
So N920A or N920T unlocked version work without problem in EU? But, how about custom roms, because I see what developer works for F/I/C/L/K/S/G models, A and T less interest.
I looking to buy note 5 from USA (because C models in EU 1.5-2 times expensive).

so you had problem with OTA, but after everything OK? because, I will root phone. What about GSM frequencies, 3G 4G works good? Did you tried custom roms? Did you have any problems?
Thanks for answer.
AT&T phones will have severe problems with ota updates. You must connect to the AT&T network to receive OTA. Odin firmware cannot download. Updates are useless unless you are on AT&T

Question about firmware

Hi everyone, i have Note 9 t-mobile but now it's open and i use it now in the Philippines, my question is can i flash another firmware that doesn't come from t-mobile? Sorry for my bad English, see the screenshot from sammobile if that firmware is compatible with my device.
You could flash the Stock US Samsung OS onto your device, which will get rid of the T-Mobile bloatware.
