Xposed on LolliPOP... test on Moto G 2014 - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I ask some advise regarding the possibility to install Xposed on our Lollipop 5.02.
From Xposed thread i see:
xposed-arm-*.zip: Must be flashed with a custom recovery to install the framework.
XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha*.apk: Must be installed to manage installed modules
So who i try and test xposed on our Motorola G 2014, and if there are some problem of stabilty or others...
Also who has installed it, use XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha*.apk ??
Thank
Hispa

You must install both, first the apk and then the zip package, and don't forget to wipe cache and dalvik cache.

ART mode not working correctly yet?

It doesn't seems like ART is working correctly with the current 4.4.4 firmware. It causes the phone to be quite laggy and after every reboot it re-optimize the apps. Can anyone confirm the same experience?
PS. Please do not get into discussion about lack of perceived performance or apps compatibility difference b/w Dalvik vs ART, that is not the point of this thread.
Mine is even more fluid with art.

Yes.. It takes a considerable time but it optimizes the apps

It's not supposed to do it after every single reboot, only once, which is the issue here.

No, this is a new device and I don't plan to root. I just did a factory reset and it solved the lag issue, but it still reoptimize after each reboot.

This seems to be a known problem with art on moto g. There is one raised in the Google Android forums. Google needed logs when the apps are being optimized. But adb isn't generating logs at this point. I have sent a detailed mail to moto support, but no response yet.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
I also have this issue, when ART is enabled, whenever i reboot all user installed apps are re-optimised
Moto support replied to my mail starting there is a technical issue with art in the current builds and suggested me to use dalvik. So I guess we need to wait till Android l releases.
Same here. After selecting ART, the phone optimizes the apps everytime after rebooting. Ideally it should do it only once, right? Seems some sort of a bug to me. Hope Motorola solves it in OTA update.

If u have TWRP, go on file manager to delete or rename the xposed modules config file in /data/data/de.robv.xposed.installer/config and reboot. But u won t have xposed

I never try it. But I think twrp is the most stable recovery among the rcovery mode.a Also I want to ask is it important to wipe cache and davik after flash the zip?
It depends on your rom actually and yes it must be obligatory after flash to make run your programs.

To be honest, how should anyone knows why your device bootloops? You did not provide any log file or some information about the .zip file you flashed. Which Xposed framework did you flash? the official one by rovo89 or the one by wanam or maybe the one by arter97? We need this information, otherwise we are just guessing around.
For Resurrection Remix (Android 6.0.1), you have to use this one:
http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm/xposed-v86-sdk23-arm.zip

Then ask for help in the thread of your custom ROM. Most likely someone has already figured it out.
I still think that resurrection remix for samsung may be more touchwiz than CM. This is only based on the number of RR users who have this bootloop; you should note though, that i have zero/none/no evidence at all of this and you should ask in the ROM's thread.
