OA1 modem - can anyone make it flashable please. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

Hello,
Can someone please post the latest ATT modem only for me to flash?
band - G900AUCU2AOA1
http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB424848&cv=820
I have a 900T that is unlocked and rooted and want to get the best signal with it.
The current tmobile nk2 modem works just OK.
I had better download speeds and signal coverage with my ATT S4.
thanks haeffnkr

I don't think it can be flashed. You must use Odin. Correct me if I'm wrong.

850Mhz 3G and Overcome

Hi guys
I'm running a Telstra (australia telco) tab on Overcome 1.4.5 custom ROM.
This carrier has an 850Mhz 3G network just like AT&T or Rogers over in N America.
I am unable to connect 850Mhz in HSDPA, only in GSM.
I have tried both JMF modem and stock Telstra modem (i.e. stock from carrier), same issue. If I force the 'WCDMA' setting I cannot see the 850 network at all.
Anyone else running Overcome and using 850Mhz 3G? Help appreciated
i have the same tab, and im on overcome 1.4.5 still, grab the modem.bin from rotohammers thread, by memory its the i9000 modem, ive been using that and its been working perfectly.
cool, and you're on NextG?
BTW I've tried locking it to 850Mhz via @#2263#, and it is still choosing the 2100 network (3Telstra) lol. A guy on whirlpool forum is telling me its a random bug, heard anything about that?
You can get a CWM flashable bell modem at the first post of the overcome thread.
yeah I'm trying that tonight (the JMK modem) cheers @ work now don't have the cable with me...
FWIW the jk3 (typoed jmk above) modem did the trick.
It wasn't included in the overcome 1.4.5 thread but IS on the 1.6 threads, go figure
not sure why the stock carrier modem didn't work? but not fussed

i9000 modem trouble

Hello every1,
I have an i9000 with 4.1.1
3.0.42-00746-g6564605-dirty Devil3_1.3.1_Hellybean_cappy_CFS_BLN_CMC #524 Kernel version
i9000XXJVT Baseband version
that drives me nuts, because i have poor reception of wireless signal.
I`m not good at this, and i don`t want to mess it up, so i am at your mercy to fix it. I assume that whoever upgraded it to 4.1.1 *i recently bought it of Craigslist), did not put the correct modem in it (my carrier is AT&T prepaid).
Pretty please tell me what i can do to change my reception for the better.
Thanks a LOT

Modem can be flashed separately (through CWM), take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1870460

(Q) Very quick question on returning to stock...

I have a GT-I9305T (Telstra Version) currently running CM10.1, I would like to unroot the phone and return it to factory original stock...
1) can I flash a stock i9305 or does it have to be a i9305T based ROM? - where can I get these?
2) should I run triangle away in CM10.1 then flash the stock ROM, and run SU to unroot?
3) after all that is done I still have CWM right? how do I return that to stock?
THANKS IN ADVANCE...

1) Yes you'll need a I9305T based rom, it's to do with basebands and 4G (e.g. i9305 can't do 4G in Australia while i9305T can...)
2) I forget how it is with triangle away, but that's up to you. Whether or not that red exclamation mark bothers you or not. Also it'll automatically unroot when you flash the stock rom via Odin. So no worries about that!
3) CWM will be removed (stock recovery restored/added) and any custom kernels will be gone too.
Good luck, but becareful with Odin. If you don't feel certain about something, look it up on YouTube (as their explanations will be better as you'll be able to view it).
Hope this helped
thank you
there's a button for that

He wants to unroot and go back to stock, he is using a T model.
Research before you come and talk...
"The I9305 is the European version and the difference is:
The I9305 operates on the LTE800 & LTE2600MHz bands
The I9305T operates on the LTE1800 & LTE2600MHz bands
Therefore the I9305 will not currently operate in 4G mode in Australia (will only operate in 2G or 3G mode) as Australia is currently using the LTE1800MHz band (both Telstra & Optus).
If you are living overseas and want to visit Australia, then the I9305 will work (not at it's full potential though). If you live in Australia buy the I9305T."

The likes of you are not wanted here.
In-case you meant he just needs any old rom for i9305 and just flash a modem for the T. There are from what I understand a complete different line of stock roms for the T version. Just simplify it and let him flash the official stock for the i9305T, if you want to go into details feel free to. I offered help and gave him a valid answer.
Claiming my answer is bull reflects badly on you and only you.
And to prove the existence of a stock rom specifically for the i9305T - here you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2080463

Good day to you sir...
I live in Australia and have both t and international versions. Both work on 4g. I stand corrected if he wants to go back to stock on t version.
But you are wrong about the T version only doing 4g here. Both t and non t work perfectly here and you can use either rom on both its the modem that's specific that was my point.

The thing is, you're stating that Telstra themselves lied when they said using an i9305 Rom/firmware package is not something that is recommended and hasn't been tested.
They also said that there is a difference...
Also, they way you came and said that was 'bull' was childish and plain rude.
I answered the question correctly and showed facts.
You've done nothing but call part of my explanation 'bull' and nag about how there is then no difference when clearly there is.
Next time I recommend you be more friendly when claiming someone is wrong.
I recommend you leave it at that, cause I am.
Can Europe GT-I9305 run with Telstra Rom?
Hi,
I have a Galaxy S3 4G GT-I9305 bought via Kogan. Came with a French splash screen.
I currently am using Telstra but have rooted the phone and running Cyanogenmod.
I want to unroot the phone. Can I use the Telstra GT-I9305T rom? Will it work or is the modem different?
Thanks

"Unfortunately Jupiter you have been misinformed. Optus provide a 1800mHz LTE network and sell Samsung I9305 handsets to use on this network. The I9305 will also work on the Telstra 1800mHz LTE network.
Google is your friend. Try these links for some light reading and education."

I know this is bulls#@t because I have the optus GT-I9305 not the I9305T, my girlfriend has the I9305 on optus too and we both get 4G.
Pull ya frikken head in and don't shout someone down when you appear to know sfa about the 4G networks in Australia.
Yes, to go back to stock the I9305T rom is needed for the OP but saying that the I9305 WON'T get 4G in Aus is complete and utter crap.

[Q] No network on new I9305

I just bought my second I9305 (first one was stolen) and it doesn’t connect to any network band. It is the same International model I had before that worked perfectly. I’m not sure if it has some country code limitation, but the frequencies and bands should be the right ones.
The phone is stock version. Baseband version XXUEMK1.
I’m not sure if I should flash to another Baseband. My cellular service provider works LTE at 1800 frequency and Band 3.
Any clues about what I should do?
Thanks
Henning

Hi,
Which is your stock firmware version JB 4.1.2 ? JB 4.3, or ?
Rooted or not ?
If you want to be sure your phone is OK, just reflash via ODIN your stock firmware from your country (and if you want from your carrier), it includes PDA, CSC and MODEM . Be sure your phone is an internationnal model i9305 and download your firmware HERE or HERE. I recommand this GUIDE from MaHo_66 xda member.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I'm not sure where to find these JB numbers tou are asking. The BuIld number is JSS15J.19305XXUEMKC. In Kies appears: PDA: MKC, Phone:MK1, CSC:MK2 (VDI).
The list of firmwares in the Samsung Updates page doesn't have the specific country/carrier I use. How do I know which one is equivalent?
Thanks

I've made some googling but I didn't found which modem version you have to use. I guess you have to find a latin america modem version but it has to be compatible with your current Android 4.3 build.
Did you previous stolen i9305 was running Android 4.3 as well ?
Do you know some ways to remember which versions you had on your previous phone ? Do you know someone else with the same phone ?

So try do a clean install by wiping all and flash latest build I9305XXUEML9 from italy (TIM) with Odin. It's Android 4.3 like you currently have.
You can grab it here for exemple : http://samsung-updates.com/details/24460/Galaxy_S_3_LTE/GT-I9305/TIM/I9305XXUEML9.html
Follow MaHo_66 guide.
Don't forget to backup.
I hope it will do the trick.
Hi,hbergold, why not flash the version firmware 4.4.4 Stock. Here you have two versions of 4.4.4:http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9305 So you would be clear if the problem is the modem.I use the version DBT Poland, I live in Spain and everything works great.Version 4.4.4 also includes again the possibility of entering service mode and choose the bands. You can flash it with Odin.Pasate por aqui:http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=920004

Gracias viktorak, but does this modem work with LTE band 3 (1800) ?
I can`t confirm, but with the the Service Mode you can force the band you will.Have you read the post I linked?Your partner, also from Venezuala wanted to force the band 5 -3G, and according to reported- it works. Then, using Service Mode you can force the band you will.
You need to first install the 4.4.4 Rom and then if it doesn`t work normally use Service mode.

@hbergold, about KNOX, you told me you have an Android 4.3 build, so if it's an official one, you already have a KNOX bootloader (the one from sammy Android 4.3).
About bootloaders:
- if you ever flash 4.3 or 4.4 via Odin or updated from OTA you have new Bootloader from android 4.3 or from 4.4.4.
- if you bought your device and you dont know what bootloader you have, turn off your phone, reboot to download mode (hold power + volume down +home buttons) and when is there Knox flag 0x1 you have new bootloader and you are warranty off. When Knox flag is there 0x0 you have also new bootloader, but you are still in warranty and when you'll flash any custom recovery or unofficial firmware via Odin, you'll have then Knox 0x1 and you will be warranty off - so it's on your deciding. When isn't in download mode any records about about Knox, you still have old bootloader (from android 4.1.2).
- since the new sammy Android 4.4.4 bootloader, now there is also a line in blue color saying ´´SECURE DOWNLOAD : ENABLED''
About @MaHo_66 's opinion, please read here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56506775&postcount=12. I hope he will not find any problem of sharing his post
I also recommand to upgrade to an Android 4.4.4 build but it's your choice and it depends on what you want to do with your phone (install custom ROM or not = warranty stuffs / if you want to sell the phone later, ....). Also I think you will not be able to flash any older official build (Android 4.1.2 or 4.3) if you upgrade to 4.4.4 because of the bootloader. I recommand it mainly because there is no more this random ******* stuck mdm_hsic_pm0 wakelock issue appeared since sammy Android 4.3 and which was a big problem for battery life. And also because it's smoother and faster.
I hope for you that @viktorak service mode trick will work for you if you decide to upgrade to android 4.4.4 official.

i noticed some users r still confused about bootloaders & basebands..
IM A G920T TMOBILE USA USER
1. since i can't use this fw baseband & bootloader i use my carriers latest fw and use both the baseband & bootloader from that fw
2. i clean install & flash the rom!
i have zero issues! this is how it is done if u can not flash a G920F bootloader & baseband due to have a different model!
REMEMBER!
IF YOUR MODEL & CARRIER HAVE NOT RELEASED A 5.1.1 FW THAT U COULD USE THE BASEBAND & BOOTLOADER FROM, IF U FLASH THIS ROM, UR FINGERPRINT SCANNER WILL NOT WORK, & YOU MAY HAVE POSSIBLE OTHER ISSUES! USE A 5.1.1 BOOTLOADER & BASEBAND FOR BEST RESULTS!

hello, I don´t know which bootloader & baseband to use because my original carrier is T-mobile, but I changed it to metro in order to unlock sim. I am on 5.0.2 metroPCs firmware and ROM(STOCK ROM), now my phone says model number: sm-g920t1 but real is sm-g90t when I was on T-mobile firmware, do I have to get bootloader & baseband from 5.1.1 metroPCs STOCK ROM(is there any???), can someone confirm if these are of metroPCs 5.1.1,

2015-06-01 USA (T-Mobile) 5.1.1 G920T1UVU2COF9 G920T1TMB2COF9
I suppouse I just have to flash this to obtain its baseband and bootloader(keep sim unlocked) and then install ARCADIA ?? Has someone tried??? can somebody confirm if this work and sim keeps unlocked??
I am afraid because If I flash this I can´t go back to 5.0.2(G920T1UVU1AOCH) and I will have to flash T-mobile 5.1.1 and SIM will be locked.
please someone clarify me
thanks in advance to everyone
