No, search the z3c forum or google in general for loose headphone jack I think you might have a faulty unit.

Sony ericsson and other brands switched the pins on the headset plug so you can only use that specific plug. You need a converter in order to make them work.. I know, it sucks.. There is a thread about that somewhere.
Edit: here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1480071
This only affects headphones with microphone.

damn. but thanks anyway.
I had the same problem with my old skull candy headphones that had a mic.
I solved it by ripping the plasstic cover up abit thats on the jack. so it pushes in deeper on ur phone.

Hi.
Recently my new earphones have been okay, but suddenly my right earphone has suddenly turned soft. It happened halfway through a song. Do you think it 's possible for a jam to be the problem and if so what should I do to clear the jam?

Do they perfectly work with X8 or they are like apple headphones??
I think so I mean I've been using it for 3 months already and there was no problem until now

Do the original headphones which came with the phone work properly??
If not something maybe wrong with your phone.
you may have blown the speakers in the earphones themselves. Do you play music quite loud?
It's really easy to check where the problem lies..
1: Try the headphones in another device and
2: Try other headphones in your phone..
You'll then see if the problem is the phone, the headphones or both..
Well I play nu metal

With my purchase of the Sony Ericson Aino, I got the wireless bluetooth headset MH100 which also works with the FM radio on the phone. I then upgraded my phone to the Sony Ericson Xperia Arc and the MH100 still worked fine.
But now with my Sony Xperia TX LT 29i, it will not work for the fm.
Music and phone calls are ok.
Does anyone have an idea on how to get this working? Does the phone need to be rooted or perhaps an app?

Your phone uses the ctia type connector and the sony ericsson headphones use omtp. You need a omtp to ctia adaptor

Don't you just love acronyms?
Please give me the full names.

Look at this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2050313&highlight=radio
Brilliant!!!
That made it work. Thank you very much.
I can now listen to the fm radio wirelessly with my MH100.
The only problem is that I still need to have earphones plugged into the phone to act as an aerial.
Is it possible to use the MH100 as it was designed for, with earphones plugged into it as the aerial?

With this mod, the radio can work without aerial, provided that the radio signal is strong enough...

The socket itself is waterproof, which is why there is no need for a port cover. You should be fine/

You have many tutorials, just try to google it. You can try with iFixit too.

I did google it, but I need an actual guide. Google shows me how to disconnect the motherboard from the antenna.

You can try with this guide:
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Sony+Xperia+Z+Vibrate+Motor+Replacement/22761
After last step disconnect antenna cable from antenna module and replace the module. If you need replace cable first remove that black plastic part that holds it and remove cable gently. :good: :fingers-crossed:
Thanks mate, I rebuilt the xperia yesterday all went well. The antenna had a cover over it then clips so it was easy to bull out, the clips also came out. One thing I did notice was their is a gold/broze tab thing that appears to be for the NFC. It is near the SIM Card tray. You need to take the stip off then use the safe open pry tool to pry it out.
