Quoted from the android headlines.com article:
"Of course, if this is your first time trying CyanogenMod then you do need to be made aware that this is a ‘nightly’ download. This first and foremost means that you are going to see far more regular updates landing for the ROM once it is installed. Sometimes, literally, on a nightly basis (hence the name). It is also worth pointing out that this also means that it is considered an experimental build and not fully stable. That said, you are unlikely to experience anything too problematic. However, with these nightly builds it is at least wise to expect (and prepare) for some minor bugs. Not to mention, it would be wise to make sure all your important data is backed up."

no more CM9 unofficial builds ?

Hi all,
I would like to find a proper CM9 Kang, meaning a build that is as close as possible to the CM9 source, with no or very little additions.
Does such a thing still exist?
Owain's build, excellent though it might be, is no longer a kang. Too many extra's...
Temasek isn't kanging for CM9, unfortunately.
Any propositions?
tia,
Tommmii.
How about the original CM9?
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/18090-cyanogenmod9-for-o2x-and-g2x-selfkang3/
not a bad idea, but there are many many improvements submitted to the git since selfkang3 rendering it definitely outdated.

Not so many "extras" that it would be "overkill". So where is the problem?
I guess you could use a KANG from Owain, before he added so many things and changed to an Unofficial build intead, try looking at build 30-35 perhaps?
I´m not familiar with any other kang´s other than the original kang´s.
But, Owain´s Builds aren´t that much different from the original CM9, I would give it a try.
Thanks Myller!
I´m now running owain´s latest build, and there´s not much difference (well there are, stability wise from the selfkang3).

I'll quote the dev, Owain94, himself :
also i think i should change the name this is not really a cm9 kang anymore...
still based in the big parts on cm9 but changed way to much
Anyway, there'll be an official ICS from LG soon, followed by official CM9 nightlies.

Unfortunately I don't see an ICS release from LG coming any time soon... Yes, they told that it would happen in Q2 this year, but they seem to dodge any question from costumers regarding that question.
I sincerely believe that we won't see any release from LG before Q3 2012...
You can use euroskank builds too, there are only some cherry picks

[Q] CM 10.2

Hi All,
I remember that we will not be receiving next major version of Android by CM becoz of lack of NEON instructions. I only wonder, if we will still get CM 10.2 or our last version will be CM 10.1.
Can anybody with CM insider knowledge answer?
I can only see that there was not created CM10.2 branches in our P990 github related repositories, which is bad sign to me.
Edit: Answer is Yes, CM10.1 is last version.
CM 10.1 seems to be the latest official version of cyanogenmod. But just look at all the gifted developers in the development thread. I guess someone will get it working on our device .
I think even some time ago pengus or tonyp mentioned that they like the challenge ....
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda app-developers app
Yes, I have read tonyp's thread and there was mentioned that CM team officially won't support 10.2 for our phone. But I hope Pengus and Tonyp will make something But it's quite possible that it will be a little bit unstable and glitchy...

Thanks, I know about it. But unfortunately it will not be official CM, only experimental.
It's great that there are still developers who want to keep our device up to date :fingers-crossed: , but looks like it's time to look around for next future device.

[Q] Honami CM11 Official / FreeXperiaProject

Hi,
I'm about to get a Z1 in a few days so I stalked the forums already.
So I noticed something that confuses me.
I found the CM11 Thread by FreeXperiaProject and I also checked the original CyanogenMod Homepage.
So it seems like there are the official CM Nightlys and the FreeXperiaProject release of CM11.
Which of them is "the right one" ? Should I stick with the forums and use the FXP Version or the official one?
Is there a difference at all?
Hope you can enlighten me

As I said: I already found BOTH the FXP and Official CM11 releases/nightlys.
And call me stupid but I could not find any infos about differences in both versions on the CM Download page.

Your question was, "Should I stick with the forums and use the FXP Version or the official one?", my response was a link to the official, I thought that was clear enough. There's most often no difference except that the common CyanogenMod code is generally newer in the official releases.

His github is non-existent. IF he does have a mostly working build of CM, he's using someone elses trees.

Slayer, BmC, and myself have been poking at it since launch. Most of our work has been going on thru emails or irc. The next couple weeks should be interesting. Right now we are fighting a framebuffer issue, once we have that resolved things will start moving faster.

(Unofficial) (Nightly) (Not Supported) CyanogenMod 13

I recently decided to do some personal builds of CM for the OnePlus 3. I have seen that the other threads are not updating their builds since they are the ones working on them. I am simply sharing the current builds from the CyanongenMod Repos. I did not do any of the development work and I will kill this thread the moment we get official nightly builds. I am not responsible for anything that may happen and I do not care what does and does not work. You are deciding to flash this ROM. Bugs can be reported to the CM devs but include a logcat or GTFO.
Link to build folder - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=74080

1. Unlock Bootloader
2. Flash TWRP
3. Fastboot format userdata
4. Boot into TWRP
5. Flash ROM
6. Flash GAPPS
7. Reboot
Thanks for making another ROM for our OP 3

Not trolling but we dont need several twrp, cm, resurrection and so on rom threads here. I believe the mods starting closing these. Not discouraging you from building but several threads just confuse people.
Nah mods don't close it, maybe move it.
It's a nightly build from cm13, did u see a nightly build around? Nope.
Good work, fastest cm13 build around, good to have some nightlys around. Thanks

These are nightlies. I'm more than happy to close once CM sends the OnePlus into Jenkins.
I really hope this thread doesnt get closed till we see official builds. I know some devs might be mad about this. But since you dont ask for any reward for compiling these builds its ok.

Tbh i dont think alot of devs even have the device in hand yet. thats why im running stock rooted. no offense to the op, wasnt my intention. just been seeing alot of the same threads pop up and its confusing and uneeded. im sure these nightlies are appreciated.
Put up a second build. I saw some commits to snap and wanted to share.
Possible to link the source?
Not that I know where it is, but I'm to lazy to search all the time.
Only thing I noticed is the battery drain compared to stock, not a big one, maybe it need to settle a little.
1 hour SOT 21% on cm
1 hour SOT 14-16% on stock.
Lets see how it settle.
Edit:
Compared to others Roms who looks like they are on a older source, it's running like it should, compared to stock min. the same smoothness, maybe even better.
And I can't test lte because I only have a h+
