I am using FrozenTears custom rom, and wondering if I can disable the status bar icon showing that Sim 2 is missing. I will only ever use one Sim with this phone, and do not need a constant reminder that there is no Sim in the 2nd slot.
Is there any way to disable Dual Sim altogether and only have it show the status for Sim 1? Or at least some way to remove the status bar icon showing a missing Sim in slot 2?
Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

I Tried by using some Xposed Modules..but none of them worked..

I also tried this multisim app. it disables the 2nd sim. But someone calls on 2nd sim it does not says it is switched off. Rings beeps in callers handset and here i don't get any notification as my 2nd sim is disabled. I tried myself calling my 2nd sim from friends phone. so this creates again more problem. I want to completely disable 2nd sim for time in day.
I have a problem with my GSM indicators, I don't know which one is for which SIM card. One of them is in square, and there's a icon of one of them on the taskbar. What does that mean? I switched to Note 8 from GALAXY S4 so I don't know much about that note.

It should tell you in the sim card manager settings
The one in the square tells you which SIM card is the default one (which will connect to LTE services), the one at the left is the SIM 1 and the one at the right is the SIM 2.
Is it possible to remove/hide the dual sim notification? Can´t seem to find the toggle for it...

You need to go to
Settings, connections, SIM card manager
From there select your desired active data.

the question is different:
1 have sim 1 for calls and messages
sim 2 for data
working ok
the problem is that when sending msg or making a call (before) the icon of both sims appear and sometimes i click the 2nd sim icon and sends by it
i want to keep sim 1 and sim 2 working as they are but disable the icons on sms and call ui
I don't think you can disable the icons bit as you said just set the defaults
One thing I do and it really helps is to set a different icon for each SIM with the one I don't like to use set with red colour.

I am on stock MIUI 12 ROM right now and it is all working fine except that my 4G/LTE isnt working in Sim Slot 1 anymore. it is only connecting to HSPAP.
I then tried putting the SIM Card in my mothers phone to check if i could get a 4G signal there and it immediately did, so i am certain its either a problem with my Redmi 8.
Strange thing as well is that i tried putting the SIM in the second slot of my phone and somehow it does get 4G/LTE connection when i have it in slot 2.
I already checked if the APN settings. Anyone else having this problem, because i couldnt really find anyone else with a similar problem.
Im afraid my 1st SIM Slot just got broken somehow

Due to my understanding, on some Xiaomeme devices, 4G/LTE only active on 1 SIM slot ( 1 or 2 depends ). It may miss-understanding with the Dual stand-by which show the ability of giving both SIM slots to be active at the same time.

My mobile support dual 4G that allow 4G connectivity on both Sim slots. I have been using 4G on both SIMs before.

I try this and also i flash a new ROM but problem not solved
